I believe it. He never seemed to sleep I recall. He must have had a lot rolling around inside his head. When I confronted him on a lie I caught him in or pointed out to him what I felt was wrong, he bolted out the door after exploding on me. In a boat with one oar…. Firstly is the recounting of conversations with my N, regurgitating everything said and done every day? Analysing behaviour, conversations, regurgitating conversations .. Oh did I repeat myself there?? Of course I did, only a million times!! Did I say that outloud or was that just in my head??? I have had enough of this NOT SO MERRY, go round!! And now my life revolves (going round again how apt!) reading your post, gathering your words, putting them in formation like an army beside me to fight this “Goliath” of a memory and physical being each day at work. The days I have clarity, I pity him, he is going to go through life never really existing. Who was he? Who am I remembering? He repulses me when I watch how his new prey feeds him, puts song in to his soul. He is just like a magnet, attracting paper clips, collecting His personality with each desk he sits. He is like a rain cloud in my life, heavy dark and thunderous and once the rain has fallen, the wisps of the cloud just get blown away, evaporating like cigarette smoke, all the atoms/particles of what he was or pretended to be just disintegrating in to space.. And with that comes Joy, I remove the Mac and wellies and I smile, the sun shines and I am happy … AND then it comes again, that heavy rain cloud has formed again.. I’m not prepared and the rain falls like hail stone …Like British weather, is this not going to change? Eat, sleep, repeat repeat. Make it stop please HGT
Hello ISTY, I liked the way you described your situation. The dynamic between him and his new prey is no concern of yours. Do not observe it or check on it because then you will only remain trapped and unable to move forward. There is nothing you can do for her. She must look to her own defences as must you. You describe how he goes and then returns, a series of rainshowers. Can you explain to me where you are with him? Has the formal relationship ended? Miss_stress, I consigned my soul to the dark side long ago, I`m afraid. There was never really any saving me. The Devil came knocking and he was so handsome and charming and beautiful and magnificent (not to mention tons of fun and great in the sack!) and I couldn`t resist.
It was only natural that I`d get sucked into HG`s sphere and I`m quite comfortable here.
I don`t operate any under illusions, nor do I hold out hope for anything. I accept and admire HG for who and what he is, absolutely, without question or conditions. If he doesn`t ever want to change, then that`s his decision. If he has an epiphany in therapy and decides he wants to change, then again, that`s his choice. I expect nothing, not only because I have no right to, but also because I simply don`t see the point.
I come here to commune with him for reasons we have a mutual understanding of. I admire those of you who are here seeking healing and help. I think it`s great that HG has helped so many of you understand what you went through/are going through and that he is, for many of you, the light at the end of a long, dark tunnel.
Everyone is here for their own reasons, whether it be salvation, realization or damnation.
And I want to say, that I appreciate you and the way you interact with me. I know you don`t see things from my point of view often, but your willingness to interact with me in such a respectful and lighthearted manner is very much appreciated.

You are welcome blood and thunder, I enjoy your posts. Yes, we have differing mindsets on numerous things, but I can appreciate your perspective and the way in which you express such. I try to view opinions with an open mind and determine where I agree and even why I do not and where I can become enlightened , as well.
I operate from an empathetic perspective…but I have a vast catalogue of thoughts and awareness that reaches beyond my own expressions. My thoughts and actions can be opposing. I can think one way and act an entirely different way. I am of the do no harm mindset. But I can understand how others think and operate and view from their perspective and thusly create a greater understanding for myself. I will not behave as they do, as that opposes my values, but I can accept and understand why they do, if that makes any sense.
I can accept others who are different from me. I nevr wish to change anyone. I operate From he concept of acceptance only, for myself and others.
I try to be respectful at all times, but sometimes my wording in my own expression can be flawed and come across as harsh. I am far from perfect.
I understand you align your thinking closest to that of HG then readers. That you are here to better understand yourself through him. I understand that, as I am here only to gain a better insight and awareness into myself and to understand why Narcissists attract to me and why D had such a hypnotic and addicting hold over me.
I appreciate Hg and all readers wisdom and advice. Including yours, blood and thunder. We truly all can learn from one another, if we are willing.

Yes, regarding HG, he will change if he deems it necessary and if he reaches a point when he can or wants to. He clearly states that he is not I therapy to heal, as he does not need to heal and is happy as he is. We should all be so lucky to be happy as we are. I admit I do need to heal past childhood issues, not to become a better person…but to forgive myself as I can so readily forgive others. To let go. As with HG, no knew else can heal me, but me, the work is mine alone.
Thank you for your insights about yourself blood and thunder. We are who we are. As long as we accept ourselves, if others follow then wonderful, if not. Then again, we can’t change another, nor can we change their opinion. We can respectfully disagree and move on.

I love Italian marble for exactly the reasons you describe – it is a symbol of beauty, strength, invincibility, power and wealth. Plus it feels nice against my bare skin when I am offering myself up for sacrifice!

Despite the massive amounts of money to be made, I would not be a drug dealer for exactly that reason – I would not wish to suffer any of the negative consequences associated with that type of lifestyle. Though I would be careful and ensure others would take the fall, it still strikes me as being a tad base and tacky.
And anyway, I don`t like having to hide in the background. It`s not really my style.

Most drug dealers do not make much money at all. They use it on their own habit, are too stupid to see the big picture and remain foot soldiers and pawns. It is only a small number who make the serious money.
