Twenty Putdowns

The erosion of your self-esteem is a natural consequence of your entanglement with our kind and to cause this is one of our aims. The easiest way to achieve this is to use words. Words are easy to come by and easy to use so they suit our purposes completely. A choice, cutting remark will tear a piece from you of your self-esteem as we hack, slash and cut away at it. Here are twenty of our common scathing salvos launched at your self esteem. Incoming !

  1. Nobody likes you. I don’t like you.
  2. Why are you inviting people? Nobody wants to see you.
  3. You are never on time. It is so infuriating. No, I don’t want to hear your excuse.
  4. Why are you studying? You won’t pass.
  5. You look ridiculous in that outfit.
  6. You are just like your father. Useless.
  7. Just smile and stay silent. Nobody is interested in you.
  8. You are such a disappointment to me.
  9. You always have to spoil it don’t you?
  10. Stop thinking about yourself for once in your life.
  11. Is that mean to impress me?
  12. You cause happiness whenever you go.
  13. You’re not wearing that near me.
  14. You’ll never amount to anything.
  15. Don’t say anything, you will only embarrass yourself.
  16. I’m ashamed to be seen with you.
  17. I wish you had never been born.
  18. What was I thinking when I said yes to you?
  19. You’re just not trying are you?
  20. You always let me down.

    Dear Love,
I always thought I was an empath. And an extroverted/introvert. But I don’t know anymore what I am. I am so confused about my behaviour and reactions, but still, is like I am discovering something new and useful about me. The patterns are all there, but they are mixed up.
Thanks for your nice words, Love. I hope I will discover my truth soon and finally accept my shadows.

I feel that HG is getting Exorcised lately. I do not think he needs it. He is just perfect as he is.
I am an Atheist so I will just SMH and watch in amazement as they talk about the imaginary friend.
For every prayer they say for you, I will do you one better. I will share in a private email exactly what I will do and I promise it will provide delicious fuel.

    Miss Apple, Demon Child.

    1. Minerve says:

You don’t really talk as an Atheist right now 😉 AhOh.

When he walked away, some months ago, I started listening obsessively to a song: “Losing my religion”.
I still have to understand if he was the N or if I am one.

      1. Love says:

Hi Minerve. How very interesting. You do not know whether you are a narcissist or an empath? There have been many types of people who posted on this blog. Perhaps having both traits cancels each other out and makes you a normal person. Either way, I wish you the best on your self discovery.

      2. R.E.M. Very nice although my favorite is Night Swimming. Michael Stipe has such a distinctive sound. Very good live.

This may seem awful. But I have been receiving various forms of hoover over the past 6 months from narc 1. I allowed them even spoke with him several times about nothing or new men I am dating he’s a lesser so it was hard to hold back anger. He would wait weeks before calling back. But he always called back. During one of our conversations I commented wow it been over a year since I had seem him. Clearly he took that as I wanted to see. For 3 weeks he took that 3 hour drive thinking I would give him time. Once I knew he was in town each time I would tell him I was with family or boyfriend. Block his number until I knew he left the area. This weekend was different he came by right before I was leaving. I didn’t allow him to sit, he said he slept on his grandmother couch , I said I can tell you smell. During phone conversation he mentioned he purchased a home which I knew was a lie. So I bought up the fact that there’s no way he closed on a home in 3days with his bad credit. The fury in his eyes, he started to rant that everyone situation was different. I asked for the name of mortgage company, he stumble never answered, I continue to grill he left immediately and purposely kick over one of my outdoor plants. I felt so much power I can’t believe how I could been so blinded by such evil trash. He got absolutely nothing not even the drink he asked for, my response that is too expensive and a gift and I only drink that with special people. Those soulless beady eyes he tried to stare in my eyes I almost through up in my mouth. This same man had me suicidal 3years ago.

I used his putdowns for art. Literally. I did a drawing displaying his words during one of the silent treatments. He has inspired some of my best work.

  7. Blackwidow says:

Here is an epic one: “you can’t drive a Lexus convertible if you want to be with me”.
He strongly suggested a car for me to get. Same brand as the one he was getting. We were going to get the same car make, different models, the same day. How romantic!! Until he told me that if I went to the dealer with him, he would get $500.
Well, I did not get my car that day. I got the next model up from the one he suggested from another dealer a month later.
Admittedly, I have been wanting that model and make car for many years and decided to treat myself. He did plant the seed though.
I don’t know if he ever got an extra discount the day we met at the dealership. I’m sure he charmed his way to it.
Things did change a bit since then. Lots of ghosting going on….I guess my disobedient self deserved a little lesson.

When he finally found which model I got, he tried to jockingly suggest that I was “copying” him, “I wanted to be like him”. I said: I can’t be like you, it’s not in my nature.
Surreal, Can’t make this stuff up!!!

  8. Reblogged this on MARSHALL W THOMPSON, SR and commented:
I will reblog my post about a female narcs… so you will know how they are different.

  9. Minerve says:

    I don’t get the 12.

  10. Viktoria says:

    HG, one silly question😀
You sed how you deal with people. What about animals?
En example: You have a dog and he does not behave like you want to, will you exclude him also?😉
    Peace

    1. HG Tudor says:

I do not bother with animals. I am indifferent to them.

  11. Mary says:

Can’t say he ever said any of these to me. I feel he was sneakier than this. I wish he said shit like this to me, I would have been out the door way sooner!

  12. Ave Maria says:

Hello HG Tudor Sending some positive fuel your way in the form of prayers

    God bless you

SALVE REGINA, Mater misericordiae. O clemens, o pia, o dulcis Virgo Maria.

    V. Ora pro nobis, Sancta Dei Genitrix.
    R. Ut digni efficiamur promissionibus Christi.

    1. HG Tudor says:

I do enjoy some Latin. Thank you.

      1. Love says:

I apologize if I offend anyone. The prayers are beautiful but I’m curious as to why they are in Latin. Is it more effective for an exorcism? Is that their intent? Similar to holy water and garlic?
Btw, no one can beat Luciano Pavarotti’s Ave Maria. 🌹

        1. AH OH says:

I have seen him twice. Most amazing experience ever. Unfortunate he is not longer with us. >

          1. Ah Oh,
I seen him with the three tenors. Best voice I ever heard live. Hands down and you know I’ve seen tons.

          2. AH OH says:

I also saw him with Jose Carreras and Placido Domingo. The second time was only him with Italian soprano Annalisa Raspagliosi in 2002. The best ever. >

        2. They were originally spoken in Latin as the clergy class was supposed to be superior. The layman or parishioners were inferior to the clergy. The clergy also prevented layman from reading the bible as they claimed that they were the only ones appointed by God to interpret the holy scriptures. So basically kept people in the dark about what the Bible teaches and could make up whatever they wanted to, to control people. How am I doing ABB?

          1. FTW,
I have one bible version and stated in the forward it says only the church has the right to interpret the bible, it states if anyone else is to do so it is a sin. Guess we shouldn’t read it, we might form an interpretation.

      2. Love says:

Wow Ah Oh! You are so lucky to have seen him in concert!

        1. AH OH says:

        HOLY COW

        1. HG Tudor says:

I was taught Latin at school and it is often a succinct way of expressing something, for instance, caveat emptor means let the buyer beware, absit iniuria means let injury be absent, thus two words instead of four. It can convey something succinctly compared to the English translation, thus if one refers to an ad hominem attack it is easier writing or saying that than explaining, he attacked the person himself rather than focussing on his argument. Many of our words derive from the Latin or the Latin has been assimilated into every day use and does not stand out as being a Latin word or phrase, such as alibi (meaning elsewhere), alter ego (another I), bona fide (good faith) and et cetera (and the rest). Latin is a noble and interesting language. Q.E.D.

          1. HG very impressive. Do you get to use it often?

          2. HG Tudor says:

            Everyday at the monastery.

          3. You are hilarious. What a plot twist that would make, the final reveal, I’m a celibate monk from Mongolia. Writing from my mountain cave dwelling. I get great reception here and I have taken a vow of silence so I write instead.

          4. HG Tudor says:

Thanks for that synopsis ABB, look out for The Mad Monk and the Empaths at a bookstore near you.

      4. nikitalondon says:

and latin music also ?? salsa, merengue, bachata?

        1. HG Tudor says:

          Bring forth the snake hips!

          1. nikitalondon says:

            hahaha You made me laugh

          2. HG Tudor says:

Good. I like to make people laugh.

          3. nikitalondon says:

Me too! Both I like to laugh and make people laugh!

    2. Minerve says:

      “Lex orandi, lex credendi”

      1. That has something to do with lex Luther right?

        1. AH OH says:

ABB I must LOL! I really did. >

        2. AH OH says:

Looked it up “the law of praying” . Let me know how those work out for you? >

          1. Ah Oh, good one, it means law of prayer and law of belief, meaning it matters how we worship and what we believe……Here is the most puzzling part:

            Quote from catholic online.
“The Church has long understood that part of her role as mother and teacher is to watch over worship, for the sake of the faithful and in obedience to the God whom she serves. How we worship not only reveals and guards what we believe but guides us in how we live our Christian faith and fulfill our Christian mission in the world”

OK ummmm….how can you be a teacher and give guidance and direction when you do the mass in latin? Most people do not know that language and it doesn’t resonate because we don’t learn from something you can’t understand. You don’t teach anything that way and can’t get guidance from being educated in a foreign language. Now I guess if you fall for the rituals and throwing money in a basket as an insurance policy it’s okay not to understand a thing. Some will argue that the mass may be in english, rare but then you get church teaching and not bible teaching, some rituals and a show me the money and your good.

Sad. So many people blinded by falsehood. That’s not what the Bible teaches at all, so no, these do not work for me.

  13. E. B. says:

One of my answers to those projections is: “You are defining yourself” in a neutral, emotionless tone. They become speechless.

    1. HG Tudor says:

That would be fuel-free, outwit some of our kind and certainly land a blow.

  14. Love says:

Sometimes no words have to be said. The look and action alone are enough to convey any of those messages.

    1. HG Tudor says:

      Indeed Love, wise words.

      1. Love says:

Thank you Mr. Tudor. Its amazing how your kind words affect me. Its as if I seek your approval. Does this happen often?

        1. HG Tudor says:

          It does.

      2. nikitalondon says:

yes sometimes the look is even worse 😖 althought that list is harsh very harsh HG… hard core meaness and a heart full of hatred.
