It was the character though. When Praed went to Dynasty, I was embarrassed for him. Ha! It brings back a thought regarding a comment my mom once made.
Praed now appears in a popular British soap. Robert Addie, who played Gisburne was married four times I think and died young, in his early forties if I recall correctly.

Robin of Sherwood was my favorite rendition and still is. Sooo dark. It was must see. JRD was John or Richard…I sometimes get them confused. I didn’t like it when Robin died…it was a bit difficult to watch after that.
JRD was Richard (he was the knight in disguise travelling through Sherwood Forest when he returned to England and joined Robin’s band of merry men (they all thought the king was still abroad and imprisoned)) Prince John was played by Phil Davies. My favourite piece of RofS trivia is that the leader of the village of Wickham, where Robin often hid and gained assistance from, was played by an actor called Jeremy Bulloch who also played Boba Fett.
I did not know that trivia. I’ve never seen a better rendition of the portrayal of Robin Hood. Just my opinion.

Michael Praed. Idc if that is the wrong answer. I loved the way the stories were told. I probably need to watch the series again to gain a better perspective as I was pissed Robin died (aka Praed wanted out of his contract or the show wanted to fire him). I was disappointed when he turned up on Dynasty. That was not must see.
Praed was by far the better Robin. Connery was rather wooden, although he did have two of the best episodes dealing with Gulnar and the Sons of Fenris. Yes I can imagine many ladies were upset when Praed’s Robin was killed.
I’m not going to deny the hottness of Praed. I did try to give Connery a try as a replacement. It was his acting. It was a well written and acted show for the most part. I’m glad it didn’t have the romantic happy ending. Even back then, I was a cynic.

Domestic violence healing. I have read your comments and agree that abuse is abuse. We can wrap it up in a pretty package but it is what it is. Wouldn’t you agree that there are different levels of violence, domestic or otherwise? You seem to have a heightened sense of justice and strong convictions which are admirable traits. However, perspective on any subject matter is the key. Depending upon the level of abuse one has witnessed, been engaged in or administered there are different ways of coping or reacting. Some choose your stance and shout it from the rooftops. Others will talk about it to friends and family. There are those that will keep silent. These are all stemming from fear. Fear someone else may suffer, fear that their feelings are not valid, fear that nobody will listen. Predators, depending on their level of damage can change. I believe that you are correct people should be warned and educated. The writer here is doing that in an unconventional way. Whether he likes it or not he is empowering others. Everyone on this forum is on a different level when it comes to narcissistic abuse. Everyone has a different idea about where NPD stems from. My opinion is that it comes from traumatic abuse. You take the role as predator as act of mastery or victim as act of mastery. There are empaths that are built from abuse as well, trying to keep peace. I do think your anger is justifiable but misdirected in this arena towards the writers view. The anger should be directed at your abuser this seems from what you’ve written that it is your child that got bit on the face and head butted? Unacceptable behavior. If this is the case why do you imagine you chose a partner that would exhibit this behavior? If you could expound on that I think I could understand your perspective better. Thanks.

I just liked the color of the umbrella HG. Yellow and black are my football teams colors and it drew me in. I like the info about the colors in London. Very interesting.
I know HG doesn’t need me to say a word but I am always the person who wants to know why someone acts the way they do and he has provided me with all the answers about my ex. I’m not excusing it but I can understand why she does what she does and why HG does what he does. It’s their survival. I can’t help but picture them as a child and what they had to endure. Being a teacher I never want to see a anything happen to a child but when I see certain behaviors in my five year olds I want to know why and where it came from.
I can always see the other side. HG has helped me tremendously to do so.

FYI & No not experienced in childhood, had an upbringing and dedicated parents that had a clear understanding of their daughters passionate stance on many issues from a very early age and encouraged me all the way. What I object to is a large volume of being plagued in adulthood by narcissists and yet my being remains tenacious and I do not appreciate these types presuming they can move a mountain. Nor do I appreciate their attempts when it affects my children.

Uhh uh HG. There is no win in the longterm. Not pretty will be the outcome. By all means continue hurting innocent prospects but you will suffer greatly when suddenly like a lighting bolt, you are taken to a higher consciousness and you will have absolutely no control on when and how it will occur. Be careful, don’t be a glutton HG you are not an all consuming fire, keep getting help. I actually feel pity for your soul.

There is little greater vision in helping the people to understand your condition if you cannot help yourself firstly. You can do so much more for all if you can help you in a way that you may not define as being of help, you have to do it, you are being pressed to do it and you are at a pinnacle point and you can chose no return or take the gamble.

I am listening to the advice, I don’t suffer high performance issues any longer, nor perfectionistic issues or get tanged up in academic salad.
Recall writing 5000 words at one point, during illness with high fevers. I felt it was the worst effort I had made and jabbed away at the keyboard just to get it in. When I was ushered to the dean I expected some disciplinary action due to my fruitless effort as breast cancer was the theme, an important primary health consideration. To my utter surprise I was called to her due to the fact she had never in her career given a 60/60 and told me that she never will. I expected the worst of dressing down’s.
She rewarded me with a 59.5/60 and I thought there must have been a mix-up.
All that matters is change and however we can create change- the method used soon after forgotten if just another way of tossing salad, unless we are the Nelson Mandella’s that leave behind the footprints that are referenced to our work.

Good, you asked what our kind can do and I have given you and your followers enough reason that is just a scratch on the tip of the iceberg as to why the abuse being suffered is resulting in children being killed, animals being killed and no my children have not been killed but there is the potential and when there is a potential I must fight for them and in that fight for myself too. Again, you are intelligent enough to understand that my anger fluctuates and it is not an emotion I do well. Hmmmm what if I told You that many many narcissists went through similar abuse???? And Im4not talking about HG here but others? You can try hold your perpetrator accountable but don’t judge all others. HG for instance wouldn’t hurt a child or an animal or anyone because he regard physical violence below him. Seduced- that is my understanding and has been for a few decades- I am under no illusion with regard to where it stems from and have written extensively on this! HG did acclaim to letting a dog out whilst bonking the girlfriend whist the owner (his primary source was then bereft with worry looking for the dog). I understand all to well narcissists and indeed have had my animals (a poodle and great dane) let out onto a major road and intersection) for the purposes of causing me extensive worry just because I was visiting a friend) so please do not try and feed me eggs, I have every right to be angry and just because I am empathic does not give anyone carte blanch to destroy me or my children. I blame the parents, a little hard when they are dead a d resurfaced in the narcissist isn’t it. Not my job to send them to the light when they reside in the empty vessel and resurface in every way to show me what the narcissist suffered then denies and used it for the sympathy vote as HG explains, the victim narcissist. In my opinion they are all the victims and it is visa versa to what we are being lead to believe, so we must clearly state our position and do not need to feel any sense of guilt for speaking it for what it is. They do so because the need for fuel outweighs all other considerations. The children are viewed as extensions which are to be used for the sole benefit of the narcissist and any concept of emotional guidance and support is put to one side because that does not serve the narcissist’s interests. The absence of empathy, remorse, guilt combined with the sense of entitlement, lack of boundary recognition, superiority and lack of accountability results in the needs of the child and the fact that individual is a child being ignored and subverted to the need of the narcissist.

I feel HG that the N x psychopaths that I have been involved with have one motive in sight only. I believe that they experienced whatever it was in childhood that embedded a seed into them. How that seed was propagated each and every narcissist that had it from childhood identifies with though they at have unconsciously blocked it and it however manifests and grows. The growth is not that of beautiful small and dainty violets nor with the sweet scent of. Lantana, moreover is a noxious weed that also has a flower. Lethal to livestock yet livestock rarely nibble at it even in times of drought. Weeds such as nut weed is difficult to remove due to its survival of having placed runners and nodes under the surface. Hit it with glycophosphate poisoning and it will go through a death that is prolonged. I feel that we are not responsible and nor are we replacements for the upsets within the narcissists or their counterparts to take it out on even when we understand and empathise. The people that must be addressed by the n’s are the first people that have caused such pain. Too often the narcissist wages up how they can use their secondary sources to their advantage over the primary source and is not living honestly because those are the very people (secondary source) that must be approached and any grievances expressed to them but that will not give the narcissist closure because time has elapsed and you can basically say that their actions, inactions ruined you own outlooks. I get it, I do get it all. There is however a line as I have disclosed and I am standing against it and if that offends, that is tough luck as a narcissist would say. Do we wish to take on your traits, NOPE. Does and can it happen, YES. Are we happy with it, NO. Are we changed, SOMEWHAT. Can it benefit us and give us a mountain of courage, YES. DO we use it with people we love, OCCASIONALLY. Why: Usually when we come across a narcissist that is trying to slide in like a smooth python and corrupt, by triangulation a family, they wish they had of been blessed with. Why do narcissists insist and attempt repetitively to break down an empath, spread rumours= so did their own mothers, father enablers or switch it around to father or both. They want to break down strengths in empaths and whilst switching the radar and shapeshifting onto the empath and their extensions as you have explained, is to break down the wall of the empath and they grow desperate and exhausted when they find an empath that is resilient and mountain they cannot move. That is the truth.

“Catholic Black” I liked that one ! 😉 … People used to joke with me and tell me that I must be wearing my “Weirdo” magnet again as a lot of people have a tendency to either come out of the woodwork or seek me out in a crowd of many and I did nothing to attract this save my looks and I suppose sometimes dress. yeah…us Arts and Theater types were so plain Jane ya know…(wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more say no more).
My mind is going here this morn HG… When I worked at the provincial Mental Health Hospital (which I touched on briefly in another comment) I used to have to as a precaution to myself and the patients remove anything shiny or bright that would attract them immediately on some of the locked wards. Some of them would wait by the elevators all day in various states of dress and undress and the second those unlocked doors revealed who ever was there…they were on them like white on rice. Staff could see them and you from down the long hall as you approached and you had to make your way up the corridor as they walked with you chatted or screamed at you and grabbed at you…hence remove anything shiny or bright as they would try rip it off you instantly and the staff would have to come running. My favorite word of the day today HG will be Exposure…can you say that word boys and girls…just think of all the different implications of that delicious word…wishing everyone a great big shiny day with everyone keeping their hands off…unless you want them to. I quote Rhianna today…shine bright like a diamond…Damn!! now I gotta listen to that song 😉 after working and living through all that I did there it’s no wonder for the longest time that butter wouldn’t melt and I had zero startle response left in me…then I met my spouse…and there went all that…Got to go to work now…Ebbs & Flows doesn’t run by itself without me apparently.
All jokes aside HG- Can you grasp, possibly grab hold of a concept for a second? Can you find a very small and minute space in that head of yours to grasp something bigger than yourself? I have an important mission and will not STOP until deliverance. Why is that? Myself I can stand up for and advocate for. When I have a narcissist that has molested my child to get at me, nothing will stop me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When my daughters are suffering the wrath of your kind, I would walk through FIRE for them and do! When I know it has come from a narcissist presuming to be the alpha over men my daughters have met and they have become exactly that nightmare, copycats and deliver blows of a narcissistic nature toward my babies, I am that pack of cheetahs ripping the lion apart and I will not cease in protecting my kids!
Collateral damage and widespread through one guiding the copycats playing kingpin! I won’t accept it and I will do everything in my power to stop them. We are talking about professionals and kids who have degrees and no deadsh*t narcissist is going to continue to use their toolkit on my daughters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I read the other day where you suggested someone fire a waring shot then you said, right into his head. Fortunately their are two ways to skin a cat and there are a few cats that I intend to STOP. Me alone, can as I said, take care of me against a narcissist but hell hath no fury when a woman’s children suffer your kind.

It is indeed 1jaded. Here is some colour-related trivia. There are consultancy firms in the City here in London who advise people when they wish to float their company on the stock market. They advise the relevant owners of the company on many things when they are pitching for finance. One of the things they advise is not to wear yellow or pink, either in shirts or ties, or blouses or dresses. Presumably socks as well. I guess if you wanted to rebel you could wear pink underwear though.
