Inanimate Compliance

inanimate-complianceI have a fascination for inanimate objects. Show me a beautiful watch with its intricate mechanism on display and I shall sit transfixed for a long time admiring the craftsmanship in this creation. I like to touch one of my favourite suits relishing the sensation of the cloth. I will hold it up pleased with the way it hangs and then of course admire how I wear it in the mirror. A sculpture, a painting, a car or a piece of jewellery. They all invite my admiration. They are items of beauty and superiority and as such firmly belong in my world. Moreover, they do exactly what I want. I love my dishwasher. It always works. I press the buttons and it obeys my commands, quietly churning away as it removes the residue from the expensive crockery. The glassware comes out shining, without streaks or marks. Each and every time. Objects are reliable. They perform as I require them to perform. I love nothing more than an appliance. It complies, it obeys and it delivers. I love possessions.

I love to possess you and make you an inanimate object. That is how I see you. You are an appliance which I expect to do as I demand. You are but an extension of me, placed here to carry out my demands and whims. I like to attach brand names to my ex-girlfriends. Becky was Zanussi – she was good at science, thus she was the appliance of science. Sarah was Nike since I had to tell her to Just Do It.(she called me Burger King – have it your way, I quite liked her).Another was Energizer as she kept going and going and going (but that’s another tale). I like to think I am Tag Heuer (Success. It’s a Mind Game).I objectify everybody and assess how they can be a good appliance to me. Once that is done I have to acquire the appliance. I have possession of you and you must act as I dictate. All my other possessions do, so why should you be any different?

I am curious. Have you ever had mercy on any of your victims? Perhaps one has tried to leave you on loving terms and you saw fit to let her be? This was my exit strategy. I simply walked away with no hard feelings. This makes it fairly easy for me to move on. Though he seemed desperate to hold on to me, l’m hoping it worked and he moves on quickly as well. Please offer me hope.

    1. HG Tudor says:

      No. No mercy.

  2. DFA says:

I am curious as to why you think this isn’t a proper forum L1119?

Usually there is a reason unless of course you are trying to poke a bear

    1. L.119 says:

No this is a blog 🙂 A proper forum like the old days before facebook groups got popular, you know with threads? This is cool but sometimes harder to follow, HG could do a forum and charge for membership, just an idea 😉

  3. L.119 says:

and also why not do a FB group or a proper forum HG?

    1. HG Tudor says:

      I have a FB pahe L.119

What do you mean by a proper forum?

    2. NarcAngel says:

Gasp! I am sure you didnt mean to suggest this is not a proper forum.

Sleep with one eye open L1119 lol.

      1. Love says:

Ah oh, I can feel the fire turning into an inferno. Oooh, its getting warm in here.
It was nice to meet you L119.

  4. L.119 says:

Oh HG the brand you picked for yourself, well the irony, pure irony!

  5. 1jaded1 says:

You consider yourself Tag. I am no name brand. We will never interface beyond this blog. To do so would have you slummin, which will never do for you. Your loss…

I just talked about this in my therapy session this week. Seeing how you treat as an appliance has really helped me understand how my ex viewed me. I was able to explain to my therapist how you use the off, on, and pause button on us.
My daughter was saying just today that I was like a pawn piece to my ex just like her girlfriend. We were both pieces of the chess game that she could collect and move us where we wanted in her life.
We are just objects to your kind. I’m accepting it more and more.

  7. Ptsdafternarcabuse says:

Before i found your site, i used to rely alot on sam vaknin’s works. He defines people in the narc’s world as cardboard cutouts. I never really understood it. The anology of an appliance makes more sense to me. Thank you HG. Hope you’re having a great day! 😊

    1. Love says:

I’ve been seeing Sam Vaknin’s name a lot lately on the forum. So last night I decided to check out his YouTube vids. My conclusion: you are still the best Mr. Tudor.

I think what makes Mr. Tudor’s work so brilliant, unique, and addicting is his great knowledge and the dynamic interactions. He engages with us…allowing us to bond with him and have very meaningful dialogues.

In my opinion, this forum is a narc-empath-and-everything in-between support group. Almost a Utopia.

Thank you Mr. Tudor for creating this world.

      1. Love says:

Lol I must be crazy but I swear there was something else I had written in the middle 😉
Just being a silly willy empath.

        1. HG Tudor says:

You’re imagining things again. How many times have I told you not to do that?

      2. Ptsdafternarcabuse says:

I agree completely. I appreciate very much how HG engages with us.
In fact, i’m developing a bit of a crush on HG 😉
Has kim been discarded yet? Lol

        1. HG Tudor says:

Not yet, but your interest is noted!

          1. Ptsdafternarcsbuse says:

Quick HG discard her, let her go, cast her asunder, throw her overboard… and let us have our turn 😉
But the five rules would prevent that 😫

          2. HG Tudor says:

Well since you have been so encouraging, how could I refuse?

          3. Ptsdafternarcabuse says:

My heart just skipped a beat💓💖💘
My you have a way with the ladies don’t you?
Oh, please don’t answer that. “There is no hope for anything else.”
            Am i right HG?

          4. HG Tudor says:

            Correct.

          5. Ptsdafternarcabuse says:

HG i feel like crawling into bed with a book called ‘”Sex and the Narcissist.” Have you heard of it? 😉I hear it’s a steamy read. Or better yet, how about you read it to me? We can act out some of the scenes in the process. Damn those 5 rules!

          6. HG Tudor says:

I am sure a reading can be organised for you.

      3. Love says:

I’m sorry Mr. Tudor. You’re right, my mind pressed rewind and sure enough, there was nothing. I apologize again.
What’s mine is yours to do with as you please.

        1. HG Tudor says:

I do like it when you come to heel!

      4. Love says:

        Always 💗

  8. Starr says:

What are you going to do when everyone you know finds out your true colors and your lieutenant finds out that all of your ex girls were right the whole time and you abused them ? Everything can come crashing down and all the years of abuse may come back all at once to haunt you . What are you going to do then ? It is a very real possibility

    1. HG Tudor says:

That just isn’t going to happen Starr, there are those who know what I am like but they fail to act on it. Others have such a vested interest in retaining my favour that they would not dare to turn against me. The smearing of others is so effective that the propaganda cannot be overcome. There are so many ways in which i have ensured that the defeated stay defeated.

      1. Starr says:

So basically you are untouchable . I hope it ends well for you and hopefully one of your abused exs don’t snap one day and you end up sleeping with the fish . Does all of the manipulations and hurt and angry people you have destroyed in a way make you paranoid . Surely you look over your shoulder a lot to make sure you aren’t being hunted down or revenge seeked on you .

        1. HG Tudor says:

The paranoia exists but that is not the cause.

          1. Starr says:

            What is the cause then?

          2. HG Tudor says:

That which has been done is compartmentalised Starr and there is no concern about it. It is in the here and now, the paranoia of those around us scheming and plotting to see us come undone. The serpents and traitors that infest the world we move in, those are the ones we must be wary of.

          3. Snow White says:

Isn’t that ironic HG that I now have the paranoia that you have. Your kind gave it to me. I never walked around like that and today was one of those days as I was out in public.
Have the doctors suggested something that will help you with this? Do you believe that you will be able to look at people and not think that they are out to get you? You do believe that there is one person out there for you, so will you only believe that of that one person?

    2. AH OH says:

He will move to the U.S. Colorado City to be exact and marry the harem.
He has a blog of admires that know exactly what he is, we read about it daily and yet we will have his back.

  10. Adele says:

Not all narcs but a lot do have charm ad are fun to be around. At least mine is. We share a lot in common and seem to compliment one another when i play the game correctly. Basically go with the act and dont dig too deep into their real personality bc we know they hate who they really are. They go to great pains to cover that up and fool themselves.
This is true the analogy of an appliance. Each supply offers a diff function. Thats why narcs recycle supply. Theres a great utuve vid bytrauma bond girl on this.
They take diff types of supply from each person. They rely on it. Honestly i dont know how they do it. Its a lot of time invested and must get exhausting. Id rather invest my time in one person. Thats why they hoover weeks or months later when they need your type of supply again

  11. The Bridge says:

Maybe you treat people as objects because objects can’t hurt you. U are doing out of fear.

    1. HG Tudor says:

There is force in your comment The Bridge.

    1. HG Tudor says:

You have my approval, please do continue.

  13. NarcAngel says:

Great post. Love that you get a serious subject across with great examples and humour. A large part of your charm is the beautiful language you use. I swear only you could refer to a chicken finger as a poultry digit and make women swoon.

    1. HG Tudor says:

Thank you NA, I appreciate you writing as such.

      1. Sarah Hope says:

I’d say it was more than swoon 😉

  14. Seduced says:

no comment *sticking my tongue out

    1. Sarah Hope says:

Seduced, you are so silly – while not THE Sarah, if my name is the same maybe it gets me extra bonus points since we have the same name – care to elaborate on the Energizer Bunny?

Everyone should know it ALWAYS goes HG’s way – he makes sure of that…by the way, I love love love the snowflakes!!!!

  15. Love says:

    Google: “Don’t be evil”

    1. HG Tudor says:

      Interesting.

  16. Honest question, HG, do you treat your inanimate possessions the same way as your animate ones? Alternating between taking the utmost care of them, and debasing and abusing them? Why or why not?

My narcissistic ex was also very materialistic, had great appreciation for high-end objects, but he did not take care of any of his things in the slightest. Clothes, even “nice” ones, were tossed all over the house, walked upon, spilled upon, etc. Dishes were slammed around, loaded haphazardly into the dishwasher, ending up chipped and cracked. Cabinets and doors were always banged loudly open and closed. At first I thought he only mistreated MY things, to get under my skin, but it turned out that that was how he treated literally everything.
