This blog is fascinating and enlightening and I thank you for your honesty.. It is deeply painful and yet liberating to finally get a glimpse into this destructive disorder, Can you tell me if there is a correlation of alcoholism and substance abuse and narcisists?

    1. HG Tudor says:

See the article Cheers! Alcohol and the Narcissist.

  3. Forgiven says:

    Tempting…

I saw that swing and imagined an entirely different kind of ride.

  5. Snow White says:

    I laughed out loud too😂
It’s so true though.I had never been on that swing before. She enticed me there and I gladly sat there and WHOOSH!!!!!! Holy hell the moods that came with that ride. That was my personal swing for the entire relationship and I was too afraid to jump off until the last day and then BANG!! And my head still spins some days.

  6. Indy says:

    *Giggles* I like this humor😄

  7. The Bridge says:

HG, It seems to me that these three famous stages ( love bombing, devalue and discard), that you are constantly repeating with others, reflect your own childhood.
And now, as an adult, you are kept repeating the same patern of behavior. You are reflecting.

LB FAZE-child was born, in this faze child feels safe, full of life, curious to know the world, everything is perfect, perfect place to stay.

    After that comes second faze.
    DEVALUE (sobering or cuting wings)
In this faze child is criticizied, it is not suported by parents, brutally neglected child’s existance etc.
Here begins the child’ anger and the perfect world slowly goes down. The
child is scared and child is losing ground, has no control.
And now, DISCARD FAZE, thise faze is extension of second.
At this stage the child complitly losses identity.

And now comes child’s instinct for survive. At this point the child decided how to cope with situation.
If a child wants to survive , must change identety.

In my opinion, because of cicumstance, arise three main type
    of personality (possible more)
    1. Narcissistic personality( if you can not beat your enemy, join him)

    2.Obedience personality

    3. Split personality( in this there is no return home) for others I’m not sure.

    1. HG Tudor says:

Hello The Bridge, interesting theory. I don’t recall my own love bombing phase, although of course it may be that I was just too young. I know my father would tell me that my mother loved me “in her own way” but I seriously doubt that and it was just him being the downtrodden diplomat as usual.

I agree with you about the three main types in terms of Narcissistic personality and an obedient one (meaning presumably empathic through to co-dependent) what do you mean by split personality? Do you mean a combination of one and two or multiple personality disorder?

      1. The Bridge says:

Yes, I mean multiple personality. I think this peronality is not codependent in the sence like narc or obedient.
Narc need others to agree with him who he is and obedient need others to tell him who he is.

  8. Dreamworld accident too close to home and I don’t fancy being tragically flipped under a large, heavy vessel on a track whilst paramedics try to spare my life, been there done that and will leave it to the adventurers and thrill-seekers. Mind you I recall being on a flume and the N did not wait for the green-light as they have little patience to wait their turn and he came sailing right in behind me which caused my body to be catapulted right up the side of the flume where I could see at least 100 feet down to tragedy! I must remind them how dangerous their flumes can be as they may require a dome covering to protect the innocents from thrill-kills!

  9. Disintegrated says:

funny but sad at the same time…
I like Your sense of humor!

  10. Adele says:

So true! I love how he’d be in a mood but never admit it. He would do something intentionally to upset me so we would end up in an arguement. Then itd be me who hd started it. Major projection
