Depends on the school and cadre of the narcissist. Most do not – either owing to clear ability to continue to do so or delusion. Some will, but they are in the minority. See Time and the Narcissist Parts One and Two for more information in that regard.
HG is this formed from the betrayal first felt in the beginning and now it is continued on for revenge yet because this can’t be done on the one who started it all it is projected onto the one closest to you?
And HG, if there was no spark of truth in my comment, you would have taken another meme. For example a young woman, crying about the loss of you. You took a cruel one. HG, I will read it once more, but nevertheless after a first, short look, I am sorry to say, that I believe, you do not want to be seen as a sadistic person. Discarding and smearing people is sadistic. It is not necessary. It is not about fuel or to be superior. It is for normal people enough, when you leave them from one minute to the other. It hurts enough. It is enough “superiority”. You have fun and we cry. No, I do believe that is only some kind of excuse your brain is constructing/creating to avoid to see the truth. I do not blame you for that, but I think, it is some kind of self-deceit or delusion.
