Hi HG – this is the closest topic I can find to my question without scrolling back through all of your posts to find a more relevant one.

From your experience (self-awareness and narc observation), do you think that narcs have a particular problem with requests or ordinary demands?

So for example, if someone asks a favour of you; asks you to make a decision; asks you for information, and by a certain date; or asks you to do something, or take responsibility for something. Anything, that takes a bit of control away from you.

I mean this in regard to narcs in general – not just you.

    1. HG Tudor says:

Potentially. During seduction it is less of an issue since the positive fuel and the pursuit means that it follows that certain requests will be agreed to as part of that seduction and a clear outcome can be seen from according with those requests. During devaluation it becomes problematic, especially for the Lessers and Mid-Rangers to be subjected to anything which is considered by them as impugning their superiority, control and entitlement.

  2. Claire says:

I discovered a colouring book HE bought me last year for valentines day. I was gonna chuck it in the process of removing ever presence. I flicked through thinking those flowers are pretty. I then found one labelled narcissus. Amused me. I may colour tomorrow 😝

  3. Amanda says:

I’m still coping with the mundane after my escape. I almost can’t stand it since I’m so used to dramatic and fast paced, new ideas, new projects, arguments, etc from him. My life feels boring now! Sick isn’t it?

  4. Laurie says:

I hope you’ve got something fun planned for Valentine’s Day, HG. For us and of course yourself.

  5. twilight says:

HG is it always about the reaction you get when going to the extremes or do you find any excitement in it besides gaining fuel?
That and we are seen as an extension of you so in regards if we do something that is insane, and everyone is like OMG, by making sure the spotlight is turn back onto you is this reinforcing this out look of being an extension of you?

  6. Cara says:

The mundane HAS TO be dramatic…keeps life from getting too boring. And it’s not my fault I bring a sense of the theatrical to everything.

    HG
Aside from the magical and mesmerizing flute and harp you use during seduction, do you play a musical instrument? If so, which instrument(s)?

    1. HG Tudor says:

      I play the piano.

      No air guitar though.

      1. Matilda says:

Do you play the piano as part of the seduction?

        1. HG Tudor says:

Occasionally Matilda but it gets hard work lugging a grand piano around in the bars!

      2. Matilda says:

HG, your answer made me giggle 🙂 . There are bars with live piano music, I have heard. You could just ask the pianist for a few minutes on stage, and play for her. There is something very magical about live piano music, she’d be over the moon. 🙂

        1. HG Tudor says:

Maybe I am saving that for you Matilda!

      3. Matilda says:

Forget it, not going to happen! 😀

Remember, I want a decent chap! That disqualifies you right away! 😀

        1. HG Tudor says:

So harsh. I know decency excellent well.

      4. Matilda says:

Nah, I was just kidding, HG… I know that you can be decent… and to be fair: you are on here… but your dark side, and the maliciousness involved, is pretty worrying… you need to develop empathy… empathy is the key! 🙂

So, if I amuse myself at times teasing you, please forgive me, it is not meant to hurt. 🙂

        1. HG Tudor says:

          I know.

        2. NarcAngel says:

          MATILDA
What has happened to you? From fire and brimstone to begging forgiveness from a narcissist! Next thing you’ll be carrying his piano.
          *sniffs your glass of koolaid*

      5. Matilda says:

        Good 🙂

      6. NarcAngel says:

        HG
Well I see why you wouldnt bother with air guitar when youve mastered the Triangle.

      7. Matilda says:

        NarcAngel,

I am not begging, it was just a clarification… while it was amusing to write the statement, I saw how it could be interpreted in a way it was not intended, hence, the clarification.

I know all about seduction, and triangulation. It’s not working with me, so, do not worry! 😀

        1. HG Tudor says:

Go on Matilda, show some resistance, it makes it all the sweeter!

      8. Matilda says:

Ha! You’re overestimating your abilities, HG… a typical narc mistake! 😀

  8. Matilda says:

Perhaps you should take acting classes and join a theatre group!

Release your anger in a constructive way. You’d be a great villain, probably without much training! 😀 … Vicomte de Valmont, Don Juan, Edmund (King Lear), Julius Cesar, Mr Hyde, or Satan himself! The rehearsals would keep you busy, and the shows would be fuel fests. How about that? 😀 😀

    1. Sunshine says:

That is an awesome idea, Matilda! I read somewhere that a disproportionate amount of narcs go into acting. It’s not just about the attention, adoration and glory, it’s also a case of enjoying and being very good at pretending to be something you’re not.

      So, how about it, HG?

      1. Matilda says:

Thank you, Sunshine. Yes, they love the spotlight and imagining things comes naturally to them – perfect prerequisites to thrive in this profession :-).

So, HG, what are your thoughts on this? 🙂

        1. HG Tudor says:

          I don’t have the time.

      2. Matilda says:

        what a pity…

  9. Flickatina says:

As a total drama llama, I can completely relate to this.

Nowt wrong with a bit of drama – keeps the blood warm!

    1. twilight says:

Flikatina I think I walk a line of stupidity at times, yet the adrenaline rush and once in a lifetime things I have done in the name of love and trust. I really am surprised I am alive with all my bits and pieces. Yet I will say I miss being taken to the edge, with someone that has less fear then I.

      1. Flickatina says:

It can be intoxicating…wondering how far you can push!

        1. twilight says:

It’s very intoxicating, yes the what if ……

      2. twilight says:

Flickatina do you balance this out the need to push the envelope and a need for down time when all is calm?

      3. Flickatina says:

Twilight – actually yes. I very much look forward to being on my own when I relax. I am a sociable person but only when I want to be. Much of the time I just like to be alone.

Besides – sometimes you just need to regroup and check your ammo reserevs 🙂

        1. twilight says:

Flickatina lol yes I can be to, yet I still stay in the background for the most part unless some twit decides to start acting up. Yet at the time I spend a lot of my free time with my son and his family and my beloved woods. I need that time to myself.

        2. NarcAngel says:

          FLICKATINA
Is that when you study the alphabet?
          Bahahaha

          1. Flickatina says:

No – I gave that up as a lost cause 😉 One should know one’s limits.

          2. NarcAngel says:

            FLICKA
            Limits. Haha
You’d think, and yet I have peed in an ashtray.

          3. Flickatina says:

Was it a big ashtray? I’m thinking one of those tiny ones would have been problematic.

          4. NarcAngel says:

            FLICKATINA
Well thats a very narc-like way of asking if my ass is huge.

          5. Flickatina says:

I was referring to the capacity of the ashtray!! Bladder size has nothing to do with bum size 😊😊

          6. HG Tudor says:

And you guys suggest I occupy a strange world!

  10. I think I seen this on the Tudor Academy class list as Part of the Narc curriculum.
    Attention Whore 101.

  11. 💜💜 says:

I have a few questions: Have you written a book yet on ‘the beast inside of you’? On ‘BPD’? And, a book on the concept of how ‘your Mirroring of us makes us love ourselves’?

I was interested in reading these three books.

Thank you for reading my comment.

    1. HG Tudor says:

No. There is one in progress about The Creature but that is not the beast.
No. I know about BPD but not sufficient for the purposes of a book.
      No.

      1. 💜💜 says:

        Okay, thank you.

      2. 💜💜 says:

        You, animal…

      3. Love says:

Creature or beast. Aren’t they synonymous?

        1. HG Tudor says:

          Not necessarily.
