  1. Claudia says:

I like Daddy-Long-Legs spiders, and I hold them and let them crawl on my bare arms when I find them, but I do not like wolf-spiders, violin-spiders, or black widow spiders.

    1. twilight says:

Lol wolf spiders, my son found one in a pan that couldn’t get out. He came inside telling me he found a spider with spikes. Curiousity got the best of me and I went with him to see what he was talking about. As I am squatting down to get a closer look at this spider that looked very odd, as to it did have what looked like spikes. He tapes the side of the pan all these tiny spiders are going in every direction and I am falling back screaming and carrying on like someone is after me, he is rolling on the ground laughing. Yup son went to the top of my list of people I was killing that day.
I was no longer afraid of spiders after that episode.

      1. Claudia says:

Lol…Twilight, this sounds terrifying! This sounds like something my son would do, too, laughing at me for screaming in fear at these awful spiders…and so many of them! Also, Jerusalem Crickets (big potatoes bugs: orange with black stripes) scare me so bad. My cat brought one inside my house, and I threw a drawer over it, grabbed my purse and my puppy, left my house for the night and slept at my friend’s 🏡 house. I let the Jerusalem Cricket have my house for the night, instead, Free of Charge. I love my cat because when I returned, I found that the cat had killed it.

        1. twilight says:

It was but I got over my fear once I calmed down I went back over there and watched them. My son and I had a long conversation about spiders and then we research all the information we could find on them.

          1. Claudia says:

My son loves reptiles and has 2-3 snakes, several lizards, 🦎 a gecko, and frogs.

  2. Scout says:

    For what?

    1. HG Tudor says:

      Godot.

      1. MLA - Clarece says:

Great play. I saw it years ago at The Goodman in Chicago.

        1. HG Tudor says:

Yes it is. I studied it when I was at sixth form. Was anybody famous in the production you saw?

          1. MLA - Clarece says:

No, no famous actors. The Goodman typically stays with all local actors. Very well done show. It really is about two co-dependents though. Sadly, they allow themselves to be defined by what doesn’t happen to them and don’t realize it.

Sixth form? Is that a Master Level for Dark Sith Lord training?

          2. HG Tudor says:

Ha ha, no 16-18 further education.

          3. MLA - Clarece says:

            I know.

  3. Claire says:

I have to say hats off to hg for having the guts to admit to being a narcissist and going completely against the grain and actually helping others. It is certainly helping me. The pic to me depicts someone say a victim jumping into a potential spiders Web n getting trapped. Weirdly I’ve often had night terrors (thank fully no more) That involve spiders. Seeing big spiders in front of me. I’ve figured it’s actually because I’ve been sleeping with my eyes open! N hg really that many comments on one blog? On this one it says 40!

    1. HG Tudor says:

Thanks Claire. Yes that many comments. There have been 1 794 blog posts so far, so let’s just say there is an average of 30 comments on each blog post that gives you 53 820 comments.

  4. Maria says:

I love spiders and wouldn’ t kill them
of course i wouldn’t want then crawling on me.

  5. noah80 says:

I’m writing a fable “the butterfly and the web” …. the inage of the spider are the best to represent the behavioral characteristics of a narcissist. And he waiting always something or somebody to uses for take fuel…
I have a question for you… when a narcissist seeing his withering body, does he falls into depression?

    1. HG Tudor says:

It depends on which type of narcissist he is. See the Time and the Narcissist articles – Parts One and Two for more which will answer your question Noah80.

  6. sarabella says:

Thing about spiders. Usually, they are backed in a corner. Or scurrying along alone. They get squished under shoes, flushed down toilets. Sprayed with poison. They live under dark rotting wood. They actually don’t see light much. 🙂 🙂

    1. HG Tudor says:

Yet so many people are scared of them.

      1. Kat Huff says:

Yes, it is so funny how people scream while smashing them into oblivion. 🙂

      2. sarabella says:

Hahah! That is cause we don’t know how to tell the poisonous ones from the benign ones. More education! 🙂

      3. HG,
Can we watch Arachnophobia together? The shower scene is the best. Or the wine celler. or the creepy barn. Ok. How bout you weave your Web and I stroll along and fall into it for a few months, you pretend like you are going to Eat me form time to time then just leave me there to rot. Oh wait, we did that or am I remembering wrong?

      4. Matilda says:

It’s because they have eight legs and move erratically. It’s because they sometimes stumble, lose their grip when they are trying to cross slippery surfaces such as tiles, and land near me! Some of them are horrible at abseiling as well. Cannot help but scream the house down and move in for the kill.

In the early morning hours however, they have the last laugh, parading in front of me as if they know that I can neither utter a sound nor act on my instinct. That is when only hyperventilating helps! Mum used to tell me ‘they are more afraid of you than you are afraid of them’. Thanks, Mum, your logical and practical approach to life is greatly appreciated, but no, that did not calm me one bit. 😀

      5. Scout says:

I assume you think this is enviable. You do realize people are “scared” of spiders because of the “ick” factor, not because they’re harmful or powerful.

        1. HG Tudor says:

          Not harmful?

      6. Sunshine says:

Spiders (in the UK) are harmless and are actually pretty wonderful. They eat the flies (which spread disease) and they are food themselves for our beautiful birds.

That doesn’t mean I like spiders, I just respect them. Catch them and stick them outside; never kill them. They have just as much right to a life as you or me. Who are we to take that from them?

  7. Hurt says:

    Waiting for what?

    1. HG Tudor says:

      Prey.

  8. Laurie says:

If only we had been able to glimpse the red hourglass on your belly while meeting for drinks it would have saved us so much heartache.

  9. Maria says:

    Esq
    interesting what you’ re saying…
however are you implying then that beautiful intelligent women would not fall for a Narc? Does that also implies that those who do, are ugly and stupid???
Mmmmmmm… i suggest you rethink that belief.

    1. sarabella says:

yeah, her own narcissism is not in check. and if she had any grasp of what true narc abuse is, she would not consider it ‘a challenge’. sparing with words on here is one thing, being abused for real by a narc or psychopath? fergetit. In reality, it isn’t an intellectual challenge of who is smarter and more witty, unless of course, its narc against narc, or a group of cluster b’s having a disordered fest.

    2. Esq. says:

Fall for yes, stick around lvery long, no.

  10. giulia says:

    Animal.
Arachnid to be precise. Interesting, the spider would actually grow much much bigger that it’s average size. What prevents it to become a huge monster it’s a built in limit in it’s respiratory system which will not allow it to grow bigger than the little insects we see everywhere.

    1. HG Tudor says:

Thanks Giulia, you have given me a sliver to use for myself now.

  11. twilight says:

Hmmm this brought the movie IT and reminds me you never answered my question

  12. Supernova says:

I have a question about the most recent narcissist (greater), I nearly became entangled with. I refused to have sex with him several times, and have now removed myself from his presence and have gone no contact. He’s tried to hoover me several times. Is there a covenant between us if we never had sex? I appreciate very much the insight gained from your work.

    1. HG Tudor says:

Hi Supernova, yes there is, it occurs as soon as we target you.

  13. Esq. says:

Good one- you got a laugh! And yes the perusal did reveal that a HG is quite responsive. Picking oranges would be medititative as compared to litigating in the banana republic a/k/a South FLA! I actually did attract someone who I suppose could be called a narc, maybe two. I found that they didn’t like to be outsmarted by an ostensible dumb blonde. Amusing. I do love a good challenge- albeit they are hard to come by. To bad you’re bound to anonymity- as you might have provided somewhat of a challenge. Positive fuel? But I only entertain handsome and fit- regardless of IQ- so not sure you would have made the cut.

    1. HG Tudor says:

Go easy on Florida! I like Florida. Stick around if you enjoy a challenge.

      1. Flickatina says:

Quite! No knocking Florida. It’s my holiday destination of choice! Roll on April!

      2. Flickatina says:

        Handbags at dawn 😮😮

      3. Esq. says:

Come visit and I’ll pick some special oranges just for you 😉

        1. HG Tudor says:

          How can I resist?

    2. Esq.
That’s one way to go about seducing the moderator. Shotgun blast then let’s see if you can handle me. oh but only if you are hot. Lol.

  14. Flickatina says:

I can’t wait for Game of Thrones Season 7 either!

    1. noah80 says:

      Me too! 😂

    2. Lou says:

Flickatina, I saw this the other day and thought of your next kitten, HG. (No offense HG Tudor) https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/1/18/Grandiose_delusions_cat_lion.pdf/page1-220px-Grandiose_delusions_cat_lion.pdf.jpg

      1. Flickatina says:

I won’t deny, I would love to have the lion!

    3. Sunshine says:

I’ve only just finished series 4. I feel quite lucky I’ve got a long expanse of unwatched GoT ahead of me to devour. I’m not going to rush it. But no spoilers please!

      1. Flickatina says:

I promise. My lips are sealed!!

    4. Sunshine says:

I’ll admit I’m still a little bit scarred by Oberyn Martell.

Interestingly enough, HG, how do you respond to graphic violence, either real or acted?

My primary narc watches those fail clips where skateboarders fall and nearly castrate themselves on the handrail of steps, for a laugh.

He once saw someone getting stabbed in the neck at a table near to him, the man later died of his injuries. Recalling this, he was matter-of-fact, there was no emotion there. It was just an interesting story to him. And he admitted to searching for videos of people being hung, out of curiosity.

      1. HG Tudor says:

If I cause it, I gain fuel. If it provides me an opportunity to gain fuel, I am interested. Otherwise I am disinterested. I have witnessed a lot of violence.

      2. Sunshine says:

Fake violence (I.e acted) or real violence?

  15. Esq. says:

I listened to the HG videos/interviews, and read the articles, at the request of my sister who was involved with an insipid, insignificant person she believes to be a narcissist. I seriously doubt HG will respond to this post, as I doubt he actually responds to any. I am so unimpressed. It appears HG believes he is a good writer. I wonder whether he has obtained a doctorate. The writing I’ve read is average, and contains grammatical errors. I wonder whether HG even pursues beautiful, educated women who surpass him both intellectually and physically. I doubt it. I read in one of the articles that HG believes the target will get bored before he does relative to negative “fuel.” I would simply challenge HG to come up with a response that would actually warrant my attention. Overall I find HG to be a patronizing, mediocre, nobody.

    1. HG Tudor says:

Unfortunately any credibility you might have had in airing your opinion was lost when you wrote “I seriously doubt HG will respond to this post as I doubt he actually responds to any” when a simple perusal would see that I reply to many comments and have indeed responded to tens of thousands of comments. But that is okay, I guess picking those Florida oranges keeps you too busy to do much else.

      1. Mona says:

Is that not a little bit much? Tens of thousands? Two thousand, ok, I will believe that, but the rest? The word “indeed” is a hint that it is an exaggeration. When will you learn it?

        1. HG Tudor says:

Well Mona, there has been in excess of 68 000 comments on this blog. So, let us start with me answering every comment. That means 34 000 from commenters and 34 000 from me. Now, I do not comment on every single post, but on plenty I do. I could actually look it up precisely if I had time but let’s wipe a third off that, call it 12 000, leaving 22 000 comments from me. Tens of thousands. Indeed.

    2. Lou says:

Esq, maybe your sister was trying to tell you something.

    3. NarcAngel says:

      ESQ.
So is it weird dating your own sister?

      1. Esq. says:

Thank you for taking my bait. You appear to have missed the point though- which underscores my conclusion that you are simply not that bright. My point is that you likely don’t “personally” respond to all of the posts.

      2. Esq. says:

My sister is very impressed with HG. Since I have listened to her incessant drivel for 10 years about this man she now believes to be a narc, I obliged her by reading about HG.

    4. Not So Sad says:

With respect Esq, I’ve been following HGs blog since January 2016,
I’ve asked many questions which he’s always personally responded to.
If you find him a ” patronizing, mediocre, nobody.” Perhaps Sam Vadkin would be more suited to your taste . After-all no ones forcing you to continue reading.

      1. Esq. says:

I baited him and he took the bait. As I said, I read up on him to oblige her. How do you know he “personally” responded?

    5. MLA - Clarece says:

My condolences to your sister if you are typical of the support system she has in place. Clearly, you have never experienced or been the victim of true narcissistic abuse. Your focus seems directed at HG’s writing structure rather than content, which would resonate on some level if you truly grasped the damage this kind of abuse does. I’m not here to read NY Times Best Seller Fiction. I came here for help and HG delivered 110%. He has never claimed to be a published writer. His work falls in line exactly with his timeline for chronicling his experience with his therapy. You’ve only left an impression here as a bitter nobody.

      1. Esq. says:

The fact that he helped you is irrelevant to my observations. His admitted involvement in this blog is to serve his own interests at the alleged request of the “good doctors,” which is a patronizing reference.

        1. NarcAngel says:

          ESQ
OH…….He does this for himself and not for us? !! Golly gee that is soooo insightful. Thank god you have come along to show us all the way Doctor.
          Condescending?
Sister you can even keep up with yourself.

        2. NarcAngel says:

          ESQ
*can’t* even keep up with yourself.

        3. MLA - Clarece says:

The statement regarding HG helping me over an 18 month period was the result of consistent and respectful communication done via the blog, emails, paid consultations (and yes, the same person spoke to me each time), and going back to the early days, even on FB messenger. That was the point to be made. HG is highly responsive to his commentators. If it didn’t help me, it’s not because he didn’t make himself available.
His reference to the “good doctors” is all perspective. Patronizing to you. Endearing to me.

    6. Laurie says:

She/he sounds like an upper Mid-Range aspiring to Greater.

    7. sarabella says:

Even I know jealousy when I see it Esq. rotfl And bait… lol

    8. Kat Huff says:

Esq., You raise some interesting questions, however I don’t think they would ever be answered honestly. For one, a narcissistic sociopath would never admit publicly that a woman nor anyone is their superior, intellectually or physically. I doubt that type of person would be their victim type, anyway. I don’t see you as a victim type but I could be wrong. I liked your comment, it is bold and I like bold. However, HG does indeed reply to comments often and your false assumption set aside your other points easily in the conversation, sidestepping all that you wrote. Intentional insults accomplish nothing at all.

      1. Susan says:

        I agree with you Kat.
It’s obvious to me that she doesn’t take any of this seriously. She’s just looking for a rise and trying to portray herself as someone who’s superior. For someone who is supposedly so intelligent and thinks she can critic someone else’s work, it amazing to me that she would make a comment such as “I seriously doubt HG will respond to this post as I doubt he actually responds to any” without doing her homework .

    9. noah80 says:

I knew the blog of H.G. since the end of the last summer and i find it very interesting and well wrote just understood by everyone (that’s important!). I bought his books and i reading them and i found a lot of interesting information about the mental world of a narcissist and how stop the influence of him on me (and the affective addicter in general). H.G. is very helpfull and informative, he answer a lot of times both in blog than in private e-mail and he has also his life off line so i think that Esq’s words about HG are unjust.
HG are you sure that she isn’t some your victim that is angry with you?

      1. HG Tudor says:

Thank you Noah80. Esq may well be somebody’s victim but not one of mine. She was looking to try and land a blow on the big bad narc.

      2. Esq. says:

I succeeded by eliciting an insult- which was my goal. I simply have a particular disdain for people like HG who inflate themselves and essentially boast, and have an inflated ego and sense of self. He could never keep up with me, and I am admittedly flawed in that I do enjoy bringing people like him down. It serves everyone.

        1. HG Tudor says:

Oh I could most readily. You aimed an insult at me and messed it up from the start by trying to attack my level of engagement which you later conceded you were wrong about. Hardly an auspicious start and not the mark of someone I could not keep up with.

  16. 1jaded1 says:

Too bad VDay was yesterday. We could have watched a spider movie marathon. Eight Legged Freaks would be must on the list. This Night I Will Possess Your Corpse may be interesting although you’d rather possess souls. It may have been fun. Oh well, maybe Halloween.

In seriousness, it is chilling how you wait. N2 would get this look when he was plotting and say, “They can expect it when they least expect it.” He would quickly follow up with a don’t worry he would never do that to me…

  17. Lou says:

I do not want to be a fly anymore.
    Cool meme though.

  18. Ollie says:

For attention? An apology? A bow down? A compliment? In the corner? To come out at night like a black widow waiting to poison its victims? Be careful, the bottom of my shoe is hard… 🙂

    1. Mona says:

Hi Ollie, in my language, a black widow is a female who drops a bomb or secretly kills her husbands. Very often the female spiders (animals) are much bigger than the male ones. So, it is no good idea of HG to pretend to be a spider. I saw once the fight of a male spider to survive his love to a female one…. I think, HG knows, because nearly all of his memes can be interpreted double. Even when it is only pure chance, he will pretend, that he knew that.

  19. Uh yeah, so are we. Get to writin’, we don’t have all year for book 3. Gosh.

    1. sarabella says:

what is book 1 and 2?

      1. SB,
Pay attention. Narcissist Seduction & Narcissist Ensnared by H.G. Tudor. Available now @ amazon.com
HG, I’m still pushing your material despite your ill treatment. Keeping Hope Alive. I am a 🍭.
Like a good empath, ABBs There!(sung in the order of State Farm jingle.)

        1. HG Tudor says:

As ever ABB I appreciate your good offices.

          1. Hey, you noticed? I do have good orifices! Oh, you said offices, carry on!

          2. HG Tudor says:

            Behave ABB!

      2. sarabella says:

I just read Codependent Chained. Well. I am not a codependent. Though funny story. I was in Rome, Italy at a piazza listening to some street music with a friend. I asked my friend, “Are they any good?” He replied, shocked “You don’t know?” I examined that interaction at 20 and saw a problem. Why didnt I know or have an opinion? Only the real problem was having lived in so many cultures, I couldn’t identify what good was from that perspective. I didnt understand it. But I then went on to make sure I knew what I liked, what food to order (again, cultural saturation). So I only see in me traits of codependency.

Now, where is the book that describes the empath in such clarity?

You are a nasty son of a gun HG. But you know that.

        1. HG Tudor says:

          I do.

There are works dealing with the empath and the super empath in progress.

      3. sarabella says:

Well, hurry, hurry with them! And please say more about Super Nova. I am waiting, *fingers tapping impatiently*

      4. Sunshine says:

I am confused, I thought HG had written about 10 books?

I did have a look on Amazon after I was slapped on the wrist by ABB for not knowing something (I think it was about chocolate). There was a LOT of HG Tudor books, not two. Please explain?

    2. Snow White says:

      Good one ABB!!!! 😂
