Thanks NA! I will do that. I am most definitely a contrarian, so I only hope that isn’t a sign of narcdom within myself. I really wish I wasn’t a contrarian, but I can’t help it!

No doubt your exquisite writing would be in part to it being expected of you academically, but did you always have a love of writing? I ask because you have mentioned previously that you entertained different professions, but I have never read where you have mentioned wanting to write for a living. Was that not something you entertained or thought possible at the time?

    1. HG Tudor says:

Yes it was something I considered when I was younger but I was railroaded to something else, so I deliberately went in a different direction.

      1. I am happy you chose to pursue your passion. Oh wait, you always pursue your passion, not mine. No really I am so happy that you started to write. You are very talented. 💙

      2. Sunshine says:

HG: would you consider yourself to be a contrarian?

Do you think being contrary is a characteristic of narcissists?

        1. HG Tudor says:

          Yes and yes.

          1. HG Tudor says:

            Thanks NA.

      3. Sunshine says:

It’s very much about a power struggle, isn’t it?

Do you think you could have suffered from Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) as a child?

        1. HG Tudor says:

In some respects it is yes.

          No I did not.

  3. Hello HG ! Are you consciously aware of the concept of duality (“fuel” shortage) / non-duality (no real “fuel” shortage possible) ?

    Thank you

    1. HG Tudor says:

      I need you to expand.

  4. Sunshine says:

    Of?

  5. Willow says:

    Are all Narcissists violent?

    1. HG Tudor says:

Yes since violence covers physical, sexual and emotional violence. If you mean just physically violence, most are – be it a shove, poking you, holding you through to slapping, spitting and on to a vicious beating with hands, feet and/or a weapon. There is such a wide range of types of physical violence that it means most narcissists are physically violent.

      1. Claudia says:

Mr. Tudor is there such a thing as Sociopaths, and then Sadist Sociopaths, or are all Sociopaths sadists?

        1. HG Tudor says:

Sadism is an additional element which may or may not be present with certain disordered people.

  6. Willow says:

There’s something in me that attracted them to me.

  7. Willow says:

Oops typo learn haha. I attract narcs though. He was the first narcissist. My ex before him was a sociopath. I attract bad boys.

  8. Willow says:

  9. Willow says:

My narc was a messenger sent to me. I had to lwarn to be less codependent and less clingy. I love my freedom.

    1. Sunshine says:

Yes, absolutely. I recall that someone who talks about narcissistic abuse calls them AID – Angels In Disguise. As in, the abuse we suffer forces us to reflect within ourselves to identify what it is about us that made us disregard the red flags, ignore our gut feelings, put up with behaviour we’d normally think was wrong, stay when we should have left.

    2. NarcAngel says:

      WILLOW
That is a good way to look at it. A messenger does not always bring good things, but things we can learn from nontheless. If you can take anything from an experience then it was not a waste of your energy and time. Thank you for that perspective. I needed some reminding and that was timely.

  10. Willow says:

Yes, in their minds it’s a God complex.

  11. More like Destroyer! But I think this brings up an interesting paradox with regards to the Narcissist creating their internal world (thanks to the vividness of their imagination/magical thinking) and destroying the external world. It also epitomizes the grotesque and consuming nature of internal conflict, taken to the extreme.

One again, such a simple thought you’ve shared sparks an interesting response. Thank you!

I’m plumping for darkness. It’s an eclipse of the sun. He’s bringing darkness where there is light.

Or maybe he’s still listening to Bonnie Tyler after his posts the other day!

      1. Sunshine says:

Hey, but HG – eclipses don’t last very long. And then the sunshine returns once more.

I bet your mother had 80’s Bonnie Tyler hair – did she?

    2. Clarece, lol!!😂
