this is also the path a sociopath takes in childhood. the one thing that psychology will never get; is why 5 different kids in the exact same abusive upbringing, can turn into different things. sociopath, NPD, Borderline, Codependent..I know of guy who had an NPD father and turned out to be APD (Avoidant). Genetics mixed with abusive environments=nature’s way of playing russian roulette i guess.

i wondered about that…why we all turn out different when we may have had parallel situations as infants/children…

      1. Myself and my two older brothers had drastically different paths. Geoffrey, the middle child probably suffered the most. He is no longer with us and I miss him.

Obedience and respect equals pleasing them, I guess. I never quite reached the bar they set with either. Took a hell of a long time not to care.

  4. Lou says:

Yes, I sure did learn to survive by pleasing her.

  5. C★ says:

since this is an ACON, the child must please the parent at all costs or risk annihilation…. it is instinct to comply in order to survive

I love the images, good shock factor. It grabs the viewers interest. I’m a screen printer, (graphic designer) I did the Seven Deadly Sins, for my Capstone. Little did I know it was really about my EX. Now, that I look back at it.

HG, were you always creative? You are an excellent writer. (Sending you fuel) –ops..

    1. HG Tudor says:

Hello SLC, thank you for that little dollop of fuel! I have always been creative yes, thank you. I note you are a graphic designer, I may have some work for you if you are interested.

I don’t think my actual survival was ever in jeopardy with my father, but he was more than capable of making my (or anyone else’s) life a truly miserable one.

  8. If the victim is rationalising then that’s fuel for the narcissist. The art of detachment is the only formula for freedom, so far. One can only be objective about one’s plight whilst detached from one’s apparent losses.

  9. Violet says:

What is in it for a victim in any kind of interaction with a narcissist? Nothing.

    1. Violet, that’s like asking the emperor of China what’s in it for the concubines in the Forbidden City. Non?

  11. Star says:

I don’t know if you will answer this HG, but how do you get people to pose for these pictures for your blog without them finding out what you do and keeping your identity safe?

    1. HG Tudor says:

      Gunpoint has a firm voice.

      1. Star says:

        1. HG Tudor says:

“You mean, let me understand this cause, ya know maybe it’s me, I’m a little fucked up maybe, but I’m funny how, I mean funny like I’m a clown, I amuse you? I make you laugh, I’m here to fuckin’ amuse you? What do you mean funny, funny how? How am I funny?”
