Why does he walk off and disappear?

Just finished this one and left a review. I am quietly and humbly mortified.

As a side note…I’d like to point out that I often experienced sudden exits by my Narc simply by just being present when he failed at anything. If he didn’t win a game, or if I silently witnessed a mistake he made, if I was in his company he would abruptly remove himself and make for his bolthole. I never caused or judged his failures but he always made sure his sulky exit weighed heavily–and wrongly–on me.

This is one of my favorite books by u hg! It explains ur underlying, constantly churning fury, which should not be mistaken for anger. Brilliant writing, as usual!

    A must read for everyone.
