HG has often referred to the Mid Range and Greater improved cognitive function but this idea has always eluded me. Ok, so they are smarter in some fashion about choosing how to seduce a victim and when/how to destroy them? Exactly how so?

So it appears there are two components to Empathic Behavior and the words can be confusing. 1. recognize another’s emotional state and 2. respond with atruism or exploitation. “Empaths” AND higher functioning “Narcissists” both are adept at the first part. But “Empaths” overwhelmingly respond with altruism, while “Narcissists” will do either to further their own aims.

Children of abusive households learn quickly to gauge the mood of their family members and choose whether to respond with altruism or exploitation. An abusive parent comes home from a bad day at work; child recognizes the sour mood and chooses to respond by (a)running around soothing the parent’s wound by being helpful or (b)start crying about a homework assignment that is due the next day that the parent must assist with, making the crisis about them.

So the upper classes have a well developed sense of emotional radar to amplify their fuel source. The problem is the tendency to respond with exploitation by unconscious/conscious choice.

I’m not looking for a gold star from you, HG; I’m trying to process what I’ve learned and ask if I’m understanding you properly.
