HG, do you suppose a narcissist could actually plan the “final” discard years in advance without letting on what he was doing? Did he really have the patience and guile to take all the assets one by one to leave me jobless, broke, and homeless?
It makes my heart pound and my blood run cold when I consider (and I HAVE to consider) that this otherwise intelligent man planned at least two years in advance and when every dime was well hidden to produce divorce papers, rage because I refused to sign my life away for $4000, and then literally call my 20-year-old college daughter to “Come get your mother. She’s hysterical and I can’t handle her,” forcing me 200 miles away so that he could smear me and move on to his next supply within a week?

Wow…it amazes me peoples stories what their narc parents had them intentionally do. Neglect is another area. My mother was neglectful in a lot of ways. She would let me go to the store and buy a ton of candy and never brush my teeth. I remember having terrible plaque and needing a whack of dentistry done. Oddly years later she did spend on braces which id wanted to badly.
Other instances are letting me travel ourlt of town with a friends dad. It was a couple hours to where theyd moved and she allowed him to pick me up and take me there. There would be no way in hell id ever let someone aside from close family take my children on a roadtrip. It turns out he was physically and possibly sexually molesting this friend. He never touched me but couldve easily!
I wouldnt say my narc mother intentionally wanted me to get hurt but she was very slack on a lot of things. Now she has the nerve to lecture me on my parenting.
This picture always causes me physical pain! So many children here die each year playing with guns they thought were unloaded. Even if the parents KNOW the gun is unloaded this time, letting a child do this raises the risk they will do it again with a loaded gun. It is the sort of thing a thoughtless narc would do.
HAHHA oh my ! My husbands mum once told him to cover himself in baby oil and then sunbathe for the whole day whilst in scorching hot sun ! I don’t need to share the outcome (he was a child at the time).
