HG, do you keep messages and emails from your appliances or do you delete them all after you read them ?
If you keep them, is that to smear them later ?
If you delete, is that to ensure your IPPS doesn’t find out about IPSS’s or DLS’s?
I delete all save the important ones which are kept for the purpose of furthering my aims through further manipulation.
I delete them primarily to keep inboxes tidy – the IPPS ( or anybody for that matter) never has access to my devices.
Do you keep your devices on your person at all times?
Cell phones, obviously not a laptop or desktop.
What about when sleeping?

I trust my instincts when I see one message in my email account associated with the narcissist. It’s proof, not imagination.

Is this why he gets so mad that I save ev-ry-thing he sends me? I got the eerie feeling a while back that someone might need to turn all this over to the police one day in the future, so I forward all messages and voicemails to a dedicated email address that I jokingly call my “evidence locker” just in case. He knows I save it all and it galls the crap out of him that he can’t stop me or erase it all. When he tried to pretend he didn’t say something, I would send him a screenshot of the message…. Of course, I don’t do this any more since I have escaped and gone NC, but when I was still determined to make him see his hypocrisy, I did.
What I have always found strange is the fact that he creates this digital footprint knowingly and then acts surprised when it’s there. He’s really an intelligent person, so it perplexes me that he can’t see that when he creates a “hard” copy of something and sends it to me, he can erase his copy of it, but he can’t erase mine. I always wondered why he would even create documents or leave voicemails to begin with. Kind of destroys plausible deniability, doesn’t it?
Is the drive to say his piece by any means greater than his wish to avoid leaving evidence? Does he even grasp (or accept) that evidence does exist? I suppose he could say I created the emails myself, but the voicemails are undeniably his voice…. can’t wrap my head around it.
Man, I wish I would stop trying to figure him out…. stupid empathetic quest for truth.

Same here, AooF! It has already been one of those days, and it’s barely 9 a.m. Woke up defending myself against an “alternate reality” that was created in the wee hours of the morning (that’s when he does his best work) and launched while we were all sleeping. My line for the day…. “Believe what you see, not what he says.” I think we all need t-shirts that say that! Hope your day gets better.
