K,
Thanks for providing that!
Hmm, that’s a bit telling I guess…
I was aware he had raised Arabian Horses – thought of him as an animal lover – but in this case it could have been a prestige thing.
I also recall (reading years ago in an interview ) that while he grew up as a cowboy, his dancing instructor mother *forced* him and his siblings to take ballet dancing (among other forms of dancing)…which says a lot about his mother…although I think, given he was not the best actor, that the whole dancing cowboy thing definitely worked in his favour.
My pleasure, WhoCares
He was a very talented dancer and he seemed very driven, also, I read that his sister committed suicide. The horses definitely signify prestige/status.
On the subject of sex and sex appeal…HG – was Patrick Swayze a narcissist??!
Sorry. I seriously need a distraction from my narc and the ways he is trying to get around my no contact!
(*Both sets of fingers-crossed* please say no, please say no, please say no…)

I found these red flags: PS had a serious drinking problem (fuel substitute) and a really bad smoking habit (smoked a pack and a half of cigarettes during an interview), emotionally abusive to his wife and he said he battled demons.
This is what he said about his mother:
“I had a lot of anger because I wasn’t happy with the way I had been raised,” he says. “Our mother made us feel that we were never good enough. If I did anything, I had to be the best because that’s what my mother expected of me. It was hard to deal with.
