I am having a hard time. The narc I was seeing disengaged with me over the weekend. This is probably the 4th or 5th time. Last time was two weeks. I was weak and reached out to him. He told me I am crazy and to leave him the fuck alone. I ended up giving him fuel and told him I loved him and would miss him. He didn’t care. He wanted me gone because I didn’t do what he wanted me to do. But here I am 3 days later, hurting and desperately wanting him to contact me. I hate that. I want to let go. But my heart keeps telling me he won’t be back. I think he only came back last time because I texted him after two weeks. 🙁 I think he is really done now.

He will come back, especially since it seems obvious by the pattern you describe that he knows he can, and you will welcome him with open arms.
I recommend you read “In the end it has to hurt”, “Emotional sea Part 2”, and “get out stay out part one”. There are many other posts here that would help as well, but those are the three that help me the most when I am feeling what you describe.

Well it finally happened and it was a real doozy. I escaped last March.I moved to a new town. I started over. Because we are business partners ( I have a contractual agreement with him until next May) I still have limited contact with him. I was able to limit this contact to polite, neutral communication until night before last when I received an email asking me to join him for lunch. I said “ no thank you” I then received an email describing in lurid detail everything he was going to do to me and my various orifices. Followed by a vivid description of the various ways he was going to “ put me in my place”. He went on to demand that I respond immediately. I replied that his email was inappropriate and did not respond further.Its as if he fell out of the Upper Mid Ranger tree and hit every Lesser branch on the way down. Later that day he emailed an apology citing that he was “ super horny” and “ impaired” by drinking. I was shaken up but managed to ignore it and simply went back to business concerns. I’ll be glad when May arrives. Thank you for reading this.
My ex must have heard that I am getting a divorce because he hoovered today. The relationship ended over 20 years ago but we coparent it’s been 8 years since the last time we spoke. He asked my daughter to forward a text message to me. I copied it below.
My dad sent me this last night.
“I want you to forward this to your mother she was my first true love. Me falling in love with her saved my life, the poeple I was hanging out with prior to meeting her were sent to prison for killing somebody and I could have been right there alongside with them. Without her I wouldn’t have you or my grandchildren. Regardless of what happened between us I want to thank her.”
I know I should not respond. But I feel like being a smartass and saying you’re welcome for having me. How do I respond to my daughter so to acknowledge I read it but not give any fuel?

Boy are you in for a surprise! Amazon sells practically everything from all over the world. I buy all my books from Amazon because I prefer ebooks i can read on my phone. I currently have 520 books in my kindle account, so I carry my library with me wherever I go!

Windstorm, you should buy a tablet (or ask your Pretzel to get you one for your next birthday but it may be better and quicker to buy one yourself). You seem to use your phone a lot for reading and a tablet would be more comfortable for you. I read in my phone too whenever I am out but a tablet is more comfortable, IMO.

Thanks for the advice, but I already have 2 iPads, a standard size and a mini. I also have a kindle. The iPads are cumbersome to me when reading. They’re thicker and heavier than most people’s because since I don’t have internet in my home, they have their own dedicated phone connections which adds a lot of weight.
I love reading on my phone best of all because it is so portable. I can carry it easily in my hand and take it everywhere in a small purse.
I am very lucky with my eyesight now that I am old. For most of my life I was so terribly near-sighted that my best vision was about 4 inches in front of my eyes. Now that my eyes have changed, my best vision is about 12-15 inches in front of my eyes, so I have no trouble reading small print without glasses. Of course I still can’t see worth crap from more than about 3 feet away! 😝

Whoa ! I had a weird hoover today! From the stranger who just kept coming at my door to make me his “ GF “ I wasn’t sure at first that he was/is a full blown narcissist but today it ‘s Confirmed , Its so different going trough “ seduction fase” and having all the information you share with us to observe the situation better . Him and his lieutenant were lying so much oh my! The lieutenant was so well trainend everytime the narc was slipping the L already covered it with a lie .
I’m so gratefull that I can learn each day because off you. once in a while I feel stupid because it seems like I really don’t understand it the fuel Matrix different schools cadre’s or is it the different language . or me just not being intelligent enough to get this . But today It was a good day I understood !
