My mid ranger once complained extensively how some guys had not invited him to a group vacation they did. They were not his close friends. i did not understand why he was so upset. However I took note that it bothered him to not be invited.

Years later, I was now more IPSS (narcs never leave). I organized a little gathering, invited his friends and did not invite him (just to fuck with his mind) He texted me that night to see what I was doing. I am sure his friends had told him. I very casually said I was just enjoying life. Did not mention the party. haha

We had a huge fight a few weeks later. I had not related that he was very very pissed because I did not invite him. We had not talked since that fight. Summer 2017.Freedom! I got a hoover in December from his best friend inviting me to be on a TV show he works on. Man I prefer my freedom.

Does anyone else use the igniters of fury to mess with their narc?

This is my mother in law she has to be invited to everything or….she invites herself. When weve wanted family time without her weve had to be careful not to bring up our plans or she maneuvers her way into them. She hates being left out yet drives everyone crazy when shes there. The opposite goes for her shes entitled to have plans with other people and doesnt think twice to include me. Many times ive wanted to join her and my sis in law shopping but she never invites me.

Okay… I was making an effort to not complain about Piano boy anymore but this meme just made me laugh!!!!! Many months ago I sent him a “save the date” invite with info about my birthday party (which is next month) and he seemed to be very non-chalant about it. Like “Oh I would love to come! I will let you know if I can make it”.

Yeah okay, I am not holding my breath for that one. He has a “phobia” about seeing my best friend (who he has never met) at the party. He is paranoid that she is going to “destroy him”. So I highly DOUBT he will show up and if by some shocking twist of events he does show up, I am sure he will be cowardly and keep to himself.

BUT….BUT….If I did NOT invite him that would “ignite the fury” ?

If he was not really serious about going to the party anyway, why would he care if he was invited or not?

Yeah, that makes about as much sense as having a pet rock!

Thanks HG. That means a lot coming from you. All I will say to that is that if you are taking any suggestions about future articles, I think a “mommy issues” article would be helpful. Thank you for the consideration.
