The Narcissist Manipulates : Lieutenants and Trait Corruption
There is a person who occupies that place of the discarded victim who has condemned herself to an ongoing and perpetual campaign of punishment. This person bears the name of Andrea, a traitorous, seditious and disloyal harlot who was given the world by me and chose to instead let me down. She now walks clothed in betrayal, the mark of her perfidy branded on her forehead and the stench of treachery that follows her wherever she goes. She was once feted and worshipped. She once stood high on that pedestal as I provided her with everything that she wanted. She was the last of those individuals who come bearing false witness to their powers of fuel provision. She promised so much yet she spoke with a forked tongue for,like others before her, she failed to maintain that which was required. She let me down. Not only did she commit that despicable act whereby she lessened her admiration and adoration so that the fuel she once gave so brightly and so deliciously now tasted stale and became a mere drizzle rather than a pouring torrent, but she took her betrayal once step further. She had the audacity, the reckless cheek and sheer disgusting duplicity to not only diminish this supply of fuel but then she brought about its cessation.
Had I not given her everything? Was I not everything that she ever wanted? Of course I was and more besides, yet no matter what I provided it ultimately proved not enough. I knew that she sought to usurp her kind, she wanted to topple me from my exalted throne but she was not strong enough. I had my new queen, in Kim, someone whose fuel far exceeded that of Andrea and she proved able and capable of sustaining me. Of course Andrea’s attempt to distance herself from me once she knew she had been uncovered as the charlatan that she was had to be addressed. She put in place all those steps to prevent my tendrils from seeking her out. She changed-mails, changed mobile number, stayed shuttered within the citadel of her office, high up from the reach of those below and even moved from where she lived. She made no attempt to contact me, to express her shame and sorrow at what she had done and this lack of remorse and her failure to account for her most disgusting treason brought about the need to make her account. It was necessary to have her narrow and weasel-like face held so she could look upon her reflection and see what she really was, a harpy, a slattern and a scarlet woman.
She resisted by seeking refuge in anonymity and disappeared from social media. She was never seen at the haunts we once frequented and vanished from her gym, her hairdresser’s and florists. The last surprised me perhaps most of all as I knew she had such a love for flowers, always delighted when each Friday I brought her a new bouquet and she lovingly placed the lilies, the roses, the carnations and so on in a vase. Her home was always alive with a floral scent and each room bore testament to her love of flowers as did her carefully tended garden, both front and rear. I delighted in the pain it must have caused her in order to leave those gardens behind. It was her own fault however. She was to blame for her behaviour and she had to suffer the consequences.
Yet for all her attempts at becoming invisible and she made a good attempt at doing so, I know that she and the others can never escape me. Accordingly, it was not long before my Good Lieutenants through their searching and probing obtained for me her new address. I dispatched my Lieutenants to cause her havoc in a multitude of ways form the minor to the less so and all without her being able to detect who was carrying out these acts of punishment although I knew that she was entirely aware of who the puppet master was. After each successful report from my Lieutenants I was able to feel the power flow through me at her reaction to the latest inconvenience that my underlings had applied to her. I do not want her back. I gave her that chance, even, after her treachery but she resisted that opportunity by fleeing as she did and thus her chance at returning to my grace and favour was denied to her and always will be. Her impertinence and betrayal offend me gravely and thus whilst I have no interest in allowing her to return to my golden largesse, I shall continue to let her know of her treason. She will be reminded regularly, tormented and tortured as punishment for her foul sedition.
This ongoing campaign came to mind today as I looked upon a host of daffodils as I walked. Given her love of flowers I arranged last October for my Lieutenants to organise a surprise for her. I knew she had gone on holiday in the half-term and with her house unoccupied and shielded from the gaze of neighbours and passers-by as a consequence of fence and hedge, my Lieutenants attended her property. Even they had been seen they would have just been regarded as gardeners. She loved the Spring with the change of scent in the air, the promise of growth and re-birth and the joy of seeing the first croci and tulips lead the way before the blooming of flora gathered pace. Accordingly, my Lieutenants planted many bulbs under her lawn and re-turfed it so that come the Spring a delightful message would be clearly spelt out to her once those bulbs had grown and bloomed. One day she would open the curtains from her bedroom and look outside on a floral tribute to her treachery and this day will soon be upon her. Which flower did I choose to convey this message? Would it be the primrose, the sweet violet or perhaps the Lenten Rose? No, it had to be the daffodil.

what if she doesn’t care that you know where she is or what she does? She may have nothing to hide…. knowing that you love attention, she knows it will have to come from elsewhere very soon…. and she isn’t important, she knows she is just a number. Someone else steps up quickly when there is a GN aboard, they are too hard to resist, someone else will be taking over where she left off.
She has no idea how to handle me.

If L was one of us readers and engaged you for a consultation, what would be your advice to her? Would you recognize the red flags and klaxons of the seduction she would describe and advise her to GOSO? (Not her specifically as it would not be in your best interest.) But you know what I mean.
The consultation of course is confidential MB so I could not state what my advice would be. However, I require some clarity with regard to your question.

HG, The hypothetical scenario would be a reader in a situation such as L is now. Not L specifically. You don’t know her, she doesn’t know you. She is a client describing the seduction and love bombing she is experiencing. Would you tell her they are red flags? Would you advise that client to GOSO?

Great questions. WHat is the process to get someone to do this? Because they could have potentially gotten shot (let’s say she had her father be in her home when they arrived. The dad not expecting anyone could have thought they were intruders and killed them. Even if they appeared to be workers of the home.)
Likely to be carried out by those looking for something from the narcissist or indebted to them in some way. I don’t think of it as those doing it just for shits and giggles.

This reminded Pretzel of a case he prosecuted where it was a girlfriend who wrote “bitch” in liquid fertilizer on the former girlfriend’s front yard. She was a grown woman. He says the standards for harassment are very low here and the courts are full of harassment cases. The court just assumes the ex-boyfriend is involved.

Surely seeing some daffodils without really knowing what manner of darkness was truly behind it was no more than an annoyance..not about the flowers which she probably does like but more about all the effort she took to change numbers and closed accounts this type of thing.
The fact that she had to move house which was probably a real pain in the backside only to find out that you know where she is anyway.

HG, out of curiosity, what would you do if one of your lieutenants betrayed you and flipped? I know it’s hypothetical, but I’ve been watching a lot of the Sopranos lately (it’s the 20th anniversary of the show) so I know how my favorite TV narc would handle handle a rat, but curious on how my favorite real life narc would respond.
Also as an aside, I would love if you did “a very treatment” on the Sopranos. I always loved the show, but i enjoy it even more after reading your works because there are so many narcissistic elements going on. Would love to get your thoughts. I initially wanted to label Tony as a greater, but he’s too compulsive with violence/gambling plus too prone to pity so I’d peg him as a ULN or LMRN. Plus, he never did figure out how to handle his MatriNarc, so he definitely is not joining you in the Ultra category (though no one is).
They would receive a Corrective Devaluation. They may well then be Smeared and received a Disengagement Devaluation before being disengaged from.
What message did the bulbs spell out? Let’s hope for your sake she doesn’t come across this blog! I feel for her as I know how sacred and special gardens are. She will remedy that lawn easily I expect, but she will know that you know where she is.. which is a different matter. How can you be bothered to even do all this and not just let her go? Anyway..good for her in escaping and doing her best to keep away and keep you away. I wish her victory.

Trespassing is not a criminal offence. Your Lieutenants cannot be prosecuted for trespass. It is a civil wrong and civil litigation is very expensive. You know Andrea will not do anything against you.
Apart from the fact that this flower is called narcissus and you carried out a benign hoover by having bulbs planted in her garden, it would not have affected me as much as the horrible feeling that someone has violated my boundaries by entering my property when I was away. Not feeling safe in my own property and community is stressful. I have recurring nightmares about people violating my boundaries because the narc sends her Coterie and Lieutenants to carry out malign hoovers. I wish all these malign female narcs were Greaters like you so they would carry out benign hoovers like those you describe in your articles and they would not cause so much damage to my health.

I agree. The scarier thing is that the flowers were planted unbeknownst to her and boundaries were crossed. That would leave the residual fear of ‘what else could he do’ – or has done already!? It is bigtime crazy-making because then you look for signs of the narc ever after.
I was like this for a while because my narc stalked the neighborhood (I didn’t find out until after the fact) for 4-5 days. And was looking for signs of him everywhere…so then I attempted to balance my wariness with the fact that it would be utterly stupid for my narc to cross a further line and I chalked it up to intimidation and tried to forget about it. (For the sake of prudence I did report it to the local police – and in case it escalated.).
Knowing what I’ve learned here though, makes me appreciate the fact that I wasn’t entangled with a Greater…

I understand that people who have not been on the receiving end of malignant hoovers in different places for several years may get frightened when those things happen to them. It is not my intention to invalidate anyone here. I know most people are not used to being the target of other people’s vindictive behaviour on a regular basis.
A neighbour wrote a similar word on my flat door for everyone to see in the place where I used to live. That was her first hoover.

I initially thought it would be a subliminal message to tell you what your species really is. In other words, you are a Narcissist. I was just up and my brain is not much, because I was still not very centered.
Then I quickly thought: Who in his right mind would bother to raise an entire garden and plant seeds or bulbs of flowers, so that they bloom in spring? And why daffodil?
Knowing that you are the sons of Satan.
Evidently it has to be something related to this flower. So I thought, something Andrea must have said during her golden age, which you treasured and jealously guarded in your Arsenal. To be used later maliciously against her. She may have told you that she liked flowers, but that she had a great allergy to Daffodils. And you used this information to give her your best memories.
And she rejoices thinking that when she opens the window, and sees that she is surrounded by Daffodil, her face will swell, she will not be able to breathe, she will be admitted from a hospital because her airways will be obstructed and she is almost taken to death if she is not diligently attended to. This brings her great revenge and great satisfaction to think that she can be killed with a simple flower.
By the way, I always think badly of people, so you weren’t going to be any less. Too bad I get caught off guard, my narcissist.

I myself planted a lot of daffodils in my garden after the relationship. My garden was full of them in spring and it gave me a beautiful feeling. I did not want to forget, whom he was.
And these plants remember me all the time (especially spring time) of him. Beautiful blossoms and toxic bulbs. And I have a lot of work with them in the beginning of summer.
