Kids and money is where I drew the line. If I gave money it was my choice.

Would explain why he went crazy when I gave a homeless woman the last of my change. I had coins bursting my purse, I was merry out and about in London Town and it was only about 4 or 5 pounds. He said wtf was I doing giving that slut or could be ‘slit’ as he looooved that word! money. I said why not? She thanked me so much as he was swearing like a trooper at me, then her! She went crazy at him and said he does not deserve me! He was furious…. as usual!

He also wanted me to order him stuff for his flat and have them delivered. I think not. You work hard for what you need. Meh, what a shambles.

Can a mommy’s-boy who was raised by a narc mother, who’s believed all her lies growing up that they’re better than everyone, that it’s right and funny to smear and to scapegoat because that’s what he’s been taught, that he might have empathy, but is it possible he behaves like a narcissist only because that’s how he was raised?

    1. HG Tudor says:

That would be someone who is narcissistic and has low empathy.

      1. kel says:

Interesting. I wonder, can you can have low amounts of empathy just naturally?

        1. HG Tudor says:

Yes. Your empathy can also be temporarily diminished.

      Youve just described my brother!

Can a person adapt to a narcissistic spouse and their family, by going along with their ways, believing in their smear campaigns even if they know better, because of the residual benefits monetarily and for the sake of their marriage?

    1. HG Tudor says:

Yes, nearly everyone has self-interest (in varying amounts) as a motivating factor.

      Kel
      I thought that WAS marriage.

      1. kel says:

NA, I guess that’s marriage if you’re a survivalist. I wouldn’t know personally since I escaped my captivity, but I’ll have to remember to conform next time!

    3. Chihuahuamum says:

Hi kel…you can but will that make that person happy? Wouldnt they be living the ultimate lie? What would that make them?

      1. kel says:

Well my husband would’ve been fine with it. I almost got remarried once but I got cold feet, but did stay in a relationship with him for several years. Getting older isn’t making it any easier, have you seen what men look like in my age range- not sexy, lol! But still I’d happily make compromises if I could find someone more like me that I didn’t have to completely forget who I am to get along with them.
