  1. Narc noob says:

Es have ET ALL the time?! How do they determine something isn’t right in their relationship if that is the case. 🤔

    1. HG Tudor says:

There is a difference between the levels of ET that cause Flawed Logic and charge the Battery of Feeling. ET never disappears but if it is held at a very low level it is not strong enough to mislead and cause problems. The battle is to lower it to the safe level and then keep it there and that is where my work becomes so valuable.

      1. MB says:

“The battle is to lower it (ET) to the safe level and then keep it there and that is where my work becomes so valuable.”

And what a battle it is! It’s why I‘ve stayed here so long and why many that leave make their way back. Letting my guard down could land me right back at square one. That’s the most valuable lesson I’ve learned from HG.

        1. HG Tudor says:

          Well stated MB.

          1. MB says:

My ET sometimes begs me to message him even now, after 15 months of No Contact. She says, “Just a few narc sprinkles can’t hurt. I know you remember how yummy he tasted.” 😈

            *MB’s mouth waters*

The thought is jettisoned thanks to my HGTU education returning me to the safety of my Tower where there are articles and books and Logic Bulletins galore. There I will remind myself of the ongoing battle with the Enemy Within and that the sprinkles are not worth the pain of The Pitchfork. #alwaysresisting

          2. HG Tudor says:

            Well done.

  2. Genevieve says:

A score of 35 on the quiz what do you say need to learn more about it or is it more likely that I am not an empath?

    1. HG Tudor says:

The Empath Detector answers your last concern.

  3. Pati says:

    I got a 50 which makes it a D for darn good.
I passed but not with flying monkeys I mean colours.
    Better luck next time.

    1. Kim e says:

      Pati
Is that you? I have been wondering about you. I even asked HG if he had heard from you. He said you were on IG so I figured you were ok
      How have you been?💕

      1. Pati says:

        Hi Kim,
I am doing good, thank you for asking ❤💕❤

    2. Bubbles 🍾 says:

      Dear Pati,
      Lovely to see you
Hope you and your family are safe n well
      We miss you
      Luv Bubbles xx 😘

  4. Alexissmith2016 says:

The answer to 5. surprised me. Not which answer was correct, but the detail behind it. How our world views are so different, if I’m allowed to say that without spoiling.

    11. Made me think I am bloody glad I’m not a remembrancer! Is this a trait more specific to certain empaths?

    1. HG Tudor says:

No, it can affect all schools of empath.

      1. Alexissmith2016 says:

Ah okay – thank you. Must just be I helpfully have a terrible memory for anything and everything. Which can be incredibly frustrating at times but also incredibly helpful.

        1. Lorelei says:

It was negative and I felt better the following day Alexis. I’ve been tested twice now–about a month apart. I am finding it prudent to do so. We have a large homeless population and I am their initial screener. Just being homeless does not warrant isolation protocol per se, but I am finding that I am ordering it anyway and they are coming back positive quite a bit. It took me a short while to catch on to this correlation, and I wasn’t N95 protected during screening, etc. I really just felt like hell this weekend though and did it just in case. Interestingly, we have a shelter set up for COVID + patients that are homeless. They can stay and recuperate all day and receive appropriate resources. Our case load overall is going down, we may have already peaked. I am anxious about the fall as I have more travel scheduled and see it doing down the toilet! A side note–I am eagerly awaiting my hand forged wrought iron antique nails from Etsy. I also used the power tool and didn’t kill anyone. I am also redoing two houses on shoe string budgets upcoming. (I have a dark blue kitchen cabinet idea with Craigslist new/used appliances for my daughter’s house) The other house is a disaster near my work that my friend and I are flipping. I’m anxious about it because I don’t want to lose my ass! It is a shit hole! ##Busy!

          1. Bubbles 🍾 says:

            Dearest Lorelei,
So glad your tests were negative lovely, sounds like you’re doing an amazing job
You’re one of our frontline heroines, so a huge thankyou
We were lucky enough to go on our pre booked overseas trip and returning with less than 24 hours before our country went into lockdown n quarantine (everyone on the plane, I think, was a tad tense)
I almost kissed the tarmac when we landed haha
            We still observed quarantine anyway
We were all negative, (we’re in the high risk age group) thank goodness we didn’t take a cruise !
I’m gobsmacked with what’s coming out of Trumps mouth and the drug that’s going in it
The news reports with Americans flocking to the beaches n totally disregarding social distancing, is disturbing, a country with one of the highest death rates
Also Trump giving the go ahead to open churches so soon
I wouldn’t be too complacent in case of a second wave !
We’re almost in our winter, everyone’s going to be coughing n sneezing, germfest haven, so this will be interesting, coming out of covid hibernation only to be sent back home
            Ahhh, fun times !
Stay safe dearest Lorelei, with warm virus free hugs 🤗
            💕
            Luv Bubbles xx 😘

    2. mommypino says:

HG, if this is a spoiler I don’t mind if you don’t approve my comment.

Alexis, I was going back and forth in number five with the choices knowingly and unwittingly. I thought I know when I do it even if it is a small kind of manipulation. There’s always a little tiny voice that makes me feel slightly guilty which in some occasions I ignore because I believe I have a good reason to do it. Even if it’s just a white lie. Then I thought maybe the answer is unwittingly because my execution of it is often times not witty. 😅

  5. LiLi says:

    Normal vs standard vs total

    =

Vanila vs with cream vs with a flake

(I feel there should be a board game).

  6. smarinucci1970 says:

I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS . I TOOK THE TEST ,CERTAINLY I THOUGHT 💯. NO. I GOT 45. WHAT???? MY FRIEND HER NAME IS ALSO SHARON AND HAS BEEN SHARING SOME INFORMATION ON NARCISSISM WITH ME , SHE’S ALSO A NURSE .SHE GOT 35. BUT DOESN’T CARE AT ALL . SHE’S LEARNING TOO MUCH ALSO HAS LEARNED BY WATCHING MY MALE NARC FRIEND HOW TO HURT ME IN DIFFERENT WAYS , THROUGH MONEY, AND CONTROL DURING MY TWO TOTAL HIP REPLACEMENT SURGERIES. NOW I NEED HER LESS AT MY HOME ( I’M DOING MY COOKING, CLEANING , ANIMALS, )SHE APPEARS VERY ANGRY OFTEN AT ME. WANTS ME TO NEED HER .( JUST LIKE MALE NARC WAS TO ME . WOW , I KNOW SHE’S MIRRORING .BUT I LET HER GO BECAUSE OTHER WISE SHE’S NOT A BAD PERSON .THE MALE NARC HATES HER BECAUSE SHE HELPS ME GET OUT BY DRIVING MY CAR & WE LAUGH AND GO TO BREAKFAST OR LUNCH TOGETHER ,HE HATED THAT. WOW ITS NUTS . AND SHARON HATES HIM BECAUSE I STILL CARE ABOUT HIM AND WANT THE BEST FOR HIM ( HES A MAN ) AND HER NARC GRANDMOTHER AND MOTHER HAVE GROOMED HER TO HATE MEN . WOW . SO I TOOK THE TEST ONE MORE TIME I HAVE 50. THATS IT . I GUESS , ALL THIS TIME I WAS ONLY READING THE POSTS THAT WERE PERTAINING TO MY CHILDHOOD OR ADULT LIFESTYLE BUT OMITTED THE POSTS THAT WERE ALSO IMPORTANT. THANKS AGAIN H.G. I’LL KEEP LEARNING AND THATS A BEAUTIFUL THING .

  7. Renarde says:

Another one here! 60 then 50!!!!

  8. Christian Melchizedek says:

You got me H.G., you had me at hello, I thought for sure I’d score 100. It must have been the Creed that threw my results. (Grins)

  9. Bubbles 🍾 says:

    Dear Mr Tudor,
I even suck at being an empath 😥
Back to the dart board again
I’m doomed for all eternity 👹
    🤣
    Luv Bubbles xx 😘

  10. Geminimom says:

    Scored a 50. I truly thought I would get at least 90.

HG, if the SM took all the quizzes, do you think she would score the same range as us?

    1. HG Tudor says:

She would achieve a high score, but not a perfect score.

      1. StrongerWendy says:

        Regarding your answer re: SM.
“She would achieve a high score, but not a perfect score.”

        Has she studied your work?

        1. HG Tudor says:

          No.

  11. CandaceMarie says:

55 seriously?? I don’t even know my own kind.

    1. Bubbles 🍾 says:

      Dear CandaceMarie,
It’s rigged, in favour of the narc !
I created empathy way before Mr Tudor was even born 🤣
I know my own kind, I perfected it!
I’ll see you an empath and raise you one
      🤣
      Luv Bubbles xx 😘

  12. Witch says:

100% yyyaasss! I figured out how to get the answers haha! Now I need to go back to the narc quiz

    1. truthseeker6157 says:

Ha! Well done! I think I’m at the conscious incompetence level. I don’t need to further demonstrate it with the narc quiz as well 😂. HG be shaking his head slowly in his leather spinny chair. ‘No more! No more!’ Lol

    2. MommyPino says:

Congrats! 🎉 Wish I could get a score like that too!

    3. Bibi says:

Please share. I keep changing my answers but my score is the same, as I am not being told which is correct. I reread the Honesty article, however, and so I think I figured that one out.

      I am still agog b/c I consider myself a top student–at 50%!!!

      Still drinking…..

      1. Witch says:

I don’t know if HG will allow me to share how I did it?
HG am I allowed or will you block my IP address or something? 😆

        1. HG Tudor says:

No you are not allowed. No, you will not be blocked, your comment will just not see the light of day. I do not block anybody on this site.

          1. Witch says:

            Hahaha! 😆
HG honestly the way you express certain things cracks me up

          2. Bibi says:

I was just teasing Witch, but your sentiments are appreciated.

  13. FYC says:

70 first pass. Second pass I tried changing the more questionable answers and did worse! Perhaps it really is the Creed that draws us in and not our natural addiction to narcissists?!!!

    1. WokeAF says:

      I was confident , and I thought I’d get 90 bc I wasn’t sure of 2 questions
I got 80 first try which is a better score than I usually get

but OH NO I HAD to try again and got 70 so I don’t know what the fuck.. I changed the 2 I thought I had wrong , and picked a couple I wasn’t 💯 on to change and somehow got less so I dunno man.

      1. MommyPino says:

Haha I was 80 on my first try but got stuck at 75 on my succeeding tries. I was trying to change one answer on each try. 🤷‍♀️

        1. E. B. says:

          MommyPino,
I did that with the Quiz The Manipulation and I could not get past 98. I am starting to think the Quiz score has been “manipulated”! Ha ha

          1. zwartbolleke says:

And here we have the answer to question number 5!!!

            hahaha!

          2. E. B. says:

            zwartbolleke,
I cannot manipulate the quiz. I did not create it.

          3. MommyPino says:

Haha the match the manipulation quiz is hard because each choice has a different point equivalent. This one it will be much easier but I gave up after three more tries.

          4. E. B. says:

            MommyPino,
In my case, I found The Manipulation Quiz easier to answer than the Empath Quiz. My priority is to learn to recognize narcissists (also Normals and narcissistic people) first. Except for two people, I am not in contact with any other empath in real life. Yes, there are different points for different answers. This is why I said I could not get past a certain score. Apart from the material with the answers, there are other items I would like to purchase in order to understand. HG’s Fuel Matrix concept is not only extremely helpful but, in my opinion, absolutely necessary.

          5. mommypino says:

Glad to know the fuel matrix was very helpful to you. I have never had a formal romantic entanglement with a narcissist and there are no more narcissists in my life right now so at this point I am more interested in learning more about myself and fortifying my walls and putting patches in my vulnerable spots. I might need to get information on dealing with narcissists in the workplace someday but for now as a stay at home mom I have no need for it.

    2. This Creed cologne is mentioned a lot! I’m just going to order some to see what the fuss is about. I’m guessing it smells sweet and delicate. Am I right?!

      1. HG Tudor says:

        No

        1. Sharp and intoxicating?

        2. WokeAF says:

          I’m
          Guessing it smells like fuel

        3. Bibi says:

          HG, will you marry me?

I just want you hear you say no. Nothing would be hotter than hearing you tell me no.

          Except for maybe yes.

If that is the case, then I will say no. I rescind my offer! No, yes, no, yes.

I plan to drink a bunch of wine and then retake this quiz. That usually helps with my IQ score.

          But not my tact.

          1. HG Tudor says:

No need to, you are already mine.

      2. Violetta says:

Warm and spicy. I tried it on at a counter at Saks, although of course the scent will interact with the scent of the person wearing it.

If you don’t want to order a full bottle and discover it may not work with your chemistry (it’s not cheap), you can get a small decanted sample from The Perfumed Court.

        1. truthseeker6157 says:

I miss American shopping malls. Mmm Saks and Nordstrom……. Back in England permanently now though after 10 years in the US. Sadly no perfume court close by, can’t get my beloved jeans brand here either. Finally found the perfect brand after years of searching and now I can’t get them. Such is life!

      3. BabyEmms says:

I bought my ex narc Creed, it smells lovely but it was considered to be too “common” for him so was exchanged for a Tom Ford blend. That should have been a red flag. Oh well another lesson going forward

        1. Wow! I sincerely hope you did a gagging face every time he wore the Tom Ford. And, took back the little black dress he bought you and exchanged it for really baggy sweatpants. And crocs! 😂Pink ones, with little widget ice creams and Garfields attached !

          1. Violetta says:

            Truthseeker:

And a “Hello Kitty” baby tee.

          2. Violetta. Of course! Goes without saying lol

          3. BabyEmms says:

I didn’t unfortunately, I told him he smelled amazing, adored & cherished every single gift he ever bought me (still do) but I won’t be that person ever again. OMG, he would have discarded me instantly had I wore crocs or a hello kitty Tee, Ahahaha. Will try that if I meet his kind in future!! X

          4. truthseeker6157 says:

Baby Emms, I think you might need to get rid of his gifts. If you wear the dress, or look at the bracelet, then you are remembering a happy time. Or, what you thought was a happy time. If you still cherish his gifts then you are still mourning the loss of him. Those gifts are souvenirs and a link to him. They keep that pain nice and fresh in your mind and make you vulnerable to future hoovers. I think you need to get rid of them x

        2. Witch says:

Yes definitely a red flag, a regular person would have been appreciative of the gift as it’s a thoughtful gift from someone they love.

Tom ford perfumes are banging though! So your ex does have good taste. Love the vanilla tobacco sent by Ford. I have a few samples only because his perfumes are expensive but they will last a long time because I only perfume occasionally

        3. MommyPino says:

It’s totally a red flag. It was one of the things that kept my dad hooked into trying to please his wife. He said that she never liked any of the gifts that he got her. She either have the jewelry and clothes altered or gave them away. The other stuff she either gave away or swapped. She even got mad at him about some of the gifts. She told him that if he really loved her he would know what her taste is. He said he worked so hard to observe the things that she bought and what she liked but he never got it right.

    3. E. B. says:

      FYC,
The more I try, the lower the score! I change answers that were correct. Those I believed that were right, were actually wrong.

      1. SMH says:

E.B. Me too. Each time I tried, my score was lower. I think the quiz is rigged.

        1. E. B. says:

          SMH,
Ha ha Perhaps HG does not want us to win and get 100/100! 🙂

          1. SMH says:

E.B., I think the answers change each time you do the quiz because of course whoever controls the quiz can tell who is doing it. Classic narc manipulation. If you don’t nail it the first time and distance yourself, it’s like being in a maze.

          2. HG Tudor says:

            Utter nonsense.

          3. SMH says:

            Sure, HG!

          4. E. B. says:

            SMH,
I agree that narcissists manipulate but there is nobody sitting behind a screen watching and changing point values on the go.
I suggest you use another browser. They may behave differently.

          5. HG Tudor says:

Precisely. I’ve better things to do and achieve.

          6. E. B. says:

I will stop making that kind of jokes in the future. I did not know may first comment could make people think about manipulations which are not technically possible – at least not in the way they described it.

          7. HG Tudor says:

I would not worry about it EB.

          8. SMH says:

E.B., HG is taking this way too seriously.

          9. SMH says:

Jeez no one can take a joke around here.

          10. HG Tudor says:

Ah stop moaning and pucker up, buttercup.

          11. SMH says:

Everyone, HG is harassing me! He’s stalking me with his snark.

          12. Witch says:

SMH the answers do not change, trust me, I’ve tested it

          13. HG Tudor says:

            Thank you, Witch.

          14. SMH says:

I do not care what anyone says. It’s rigged!

          15. HG Tudor says:

Stop blame shifting and remedy your incompetence.

          16. SMH says:

lol. I do not have the patience. Sorry! If I am incompetent in something, I move on to something else. I like to do things I am good at. But I DO of course appreciate all the hard work that went into creating the quiz.

        2. I agree SMH. I went through the answers and I swear I would have scored 75 and not a measly 45 followed by 50! HG is gaslighting us again xxx

          1. HG Tudor says:

I know you intend this as a joke. I also know it’s not true however it’s worth keeping in mind how new readers may be confused and concerned by such observations as they won’t be familiar with your sense of humour.

          2. FYC says:

Fair and important observation, HG. It’s easy to forget our long ago perceptions when we were new here. And it just goes to show we empaths have egos too and we like to tease or blame shift in a joking way.

There is something I have come to realize from all the answers I miss or the answers that I feel uncomfortable with (the answer is not what I would say, but revert to); these instances are important opportunities to become aware of and learn from. As a truth seeker, I want to be aware and know the truth and why any point is accurate and how it might apply for myself or others. I have come to see your unbiased truth and accuracy in all your works. Your objective observation and non-emotionally driven accuracy is needed, otherwise we would be far less likely to move from unaware to aware to growth.

          3. HG Tudor says:

Indeed. This is why the answers and the explanations to all quizzes are most valuable

          4. FYC says:

            Very true, HG.

          5. I understand. Apologies. I can confirm I was joking I just did very badly at the quiz.

          6. SMH says:

Careful, alexissmith2016, unless you want to join me on the naughty stool or in the dungeon or wherever HG puts the clever girls. And there he is! OK. I’ll stop joking now HG.

          7. I’m already in the dungeon. I’ve been waiting for you to get off the stool and join me.

          8. SMH says:

I think I am already there with you. At least I feel mightily chastised.

          9. Lorelei says:

Alexis—I got an 80. I’d like to see my wrongs.. I believe I have the virus. I have been down a bit for a few days. My test should be back but it’s still pending. It won’t keep me from painting a milk crate a bright teal though. I also have a new power tool to use that my brother is going to FaceTime me about using so that I don’t kill myself. The guy at Lowe’s almost killed me because I told him his nail selection wasn’t very broad. On Etsy they have antique nails with character. (10 for $5 US dollars) He didn’t care and walked away with his head down. I didn’t want to push my luck with instructions on the power tool after I pissed him off. That was on Saturday before I got sick.

          10. alexissmith2016 says:

            80! Bloody well done Lorelei!!

Jees, you’re not well? How are you feeling today? Have you had your test results back? Huge warm hugs coming your way xxx

  14. Fiddleress says:

    55 first try.
50 second try! What? I’m not even sure of my right answers?!
I did better on the last quiz, about narcissists. Knowing thine enemy is good, but knowing thyself is not bad either. Especially since it is supposed to mean then you will know the universe and the Gods! Isn’t this a bit narcy though, and the reason why we fail (more or less) at this quiz ? There, I have found my/our excuse!

    1. MommyPino says:

Knowing thy self is better than knowing thy enemies. The more we love, know and cherish ourselves, the less chance a narcissist can destroy us. And the less chance we will accept their mistreatments of us.

      1. Violetta says:

Good point, MP. I’m out of touch with most of my work and school narcs, so a Narc Detector may not be relevant at this point, but if I get another job, I will arrange for the Empath Detector. I can’t (and as HG has emphasized) shouldn’t change who I am, but I can change what I do. I want to be able to avoid getting swept up in the Narcissistic dance, and there is narc choreography specifically aimed at the steps I do instinctively. That particular pas de deux is not happening again.

        1. mommypino says:

I got a lot of the answers in this quiz from my previous ED and Trait D. It’s not something that you memorize but something that you understand about you from those consultations.

I agree, the narcissistic dance is not something that we want to keep doing!

      2. Julie Petkovska says:

Shway MP that is the way!
Prioritising your wants and needs, makes no contact much easier.

        1. mommypino says:

It does. I think it’s one of the biggest way to self care, to get to know ourselves and be interested in ourselves. In my case it made it easier to bounce back from the hurts from my narc entanglements. Our Ns tend to tell us untrue things about us with full conviction and sometimes it takes deep knowledge about who we really are to be able to fight against buying into that.

      3. Fiddleress says:

        MP:
I think both are important, to the same degree in fact.
I was joking in my previous post, having a shot at blame-shifting for my poor score.
And yes, although I like the quote: “Know thyself, and you shall know the Universe and the Gods”, when you are in the mood for a laugh (as I was, because I had a great laugh while doing the quiz, I loved the humour), you can take a step back and think it is a teeny-weeny bit grandiose.

        1. Fiddleress says:

Note: The quote is is a bit grandiose, not knowing yourself.

          1. mommypino says:

Lol it is. The universe is full of mysteries and knowing ourselves is just one of the mysteries. Knowing narcissists is another separate mystery. 😊

        2. mommypino says:

So true about how humor can help. I think that’s one of the ways I survived my childhood was look at some of my Lesser mom’s behaviors in a humorous way. In my experience, the quote that you gave was proven to be false. I knew myself but I could never understand the narcissists because they are nothing like me. That’s why finding this website has been a life changer for me. As for the degree, I personally favor knowing myself more than knowing my enemy but they are both essential. It’s just easier to keep my boundaries if I know what my core values are. I have instances when my familial Narcissists pressured me into doing something but I was able to say no (even though it was extremely difficult as I was under their spell and I didn’t know what they are) because I knew that it was against who I am. But it is very important to know our enemies too. “ If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”- The Art of War. But I also disagree with him that knowing the enemy is knowing ourselves because again, we are not the same.

          1. mommypino says:

*Just to clarify, I disagree with Sun Tzu because in a separate quote that I didn’t write down here, he said that knowing thy enemy is knowing thy self and I disagree because in our situation, the narcissists are not like us.

          2. Fiddleress says:

MP: Exactly, I agree that the quote I gave is over the top, and not quite true because it implies that as humans we are all the same, but experience and especially what we learn here show us that it is far from being so.

I love this passage from The Art of War. To me, “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles” means that knowing yourself and your enemy to the same degree is the key to the best outcome. But it may work better for some people to know themselves more than to know their enemy.

Glad to hear you could view your mother’s behaviours in a humourous light ! I still have plenty of work to do in this respect as regards mine…

          3. mommypino says:

“ Glad to hear you could view your mother’s behaviours in a humourous light ! I still have plenty of work to do in this respect as regards mine…”

HG and some commenters here can help with that. In time you will see the humor in the patterns of behaviors. Although a lot of the things that my mom did I will never find funny. But at least there is some levity in some aspects of her narcissism.

          4. lisk says:

mommypino, are you sure about this one?

“Just to clarify, I disagree with Sun Tzu because in a separate quote that I didn’t write down here, he said that knowing thy enemy is knowing thy self and I disagree because in our situation, the narcissists are not like us.”

Knowing my enemy, i.e., “Knowing the Narcissist,” is absolutely about knowing myself. I learned more about myself via HG’s work than I learned about my traits, patterns, behaviors, etc. anywhere else.

          5. NarcAngel says:

            Great point Lisk.

          6. mommypino says:

I am the same way Lisk, I learned more about myself from HG’s work than anywhere else. But HG separates and differentiates is (Empaths) from the Narcissists. So even if I was using HG’s work, I am knowing myself (Empath Detector, Trait Detector, Sins of the Empath articles, articles about the different cadres of Empaths etc.). I’m also knowing my enemy (the former narcissists in my personal life) with HG’s articles about narcissism.

I have read The Art of War when I was in my entanglement with my stepdaughters as I felt like I was in a war with them. It did not help me when he said, “Know thy enemy, know thyself.” It made me think that we are all the same. We are not. And HG does an excellent job teaching the differences.

          7. lisk says:

Your first paragraph there is what Sun Tzu is talking about.

He is not necessarily saying that you and your enemy are the same—though, I’m sure, this could be the case for some.

          8. mommypino says:

I have read a book with interpretation written and that’s how I remember the author interpreted the passage. But you could be right that it may not be the right interpretation. I don’t have a copy of the book so I can’t double check.

          9. mommypino says:

The quotes I posted here were just copy pasted from google search. I couldn’t remember how exactly the quotes were written or explained in the book that I have read many years ago. But I remember that at that time I remember looking into myself to try to understand where the enemy was coming from with their behaviors. I believe it was the way it was explained in the book that if I know the enemy I’ll know myself. But I remember for sure that I thought the book was boring.

          10. mommypino says:

Hi Lisk, I probably didn’t explain it well.

I disagree with Sun Tzu when he said that knowing the enemy is knowing ourselves because our enemy (the narcissist) are very different from us (empaths). The motivations for their behaviors are different from our motivations. They don’t have empathy, they don’t have conscience, etc.

I agree with the first quote that I shared from Sun Tzu, “ If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.” The reason I shared it is because I totally agree with it. I knew myself but didn’t know my enemy before I found HG’s work so I had a very time dealing with narcissists. But knowing ourselves is very important and in my opinion most important because when we know ourselves well, we don’t get swayed easily into doing things we will end up regretting. But just like what Sun Tzu said, knowing ourselves is not enough. It was not enough for me or you and that’s why HG has been a game changer. And HG has also helped us learn more about ourselves too.

The Art of War has many passages that I love but when he said that knowing the enemy is knowing ourselves, I disagree because I have a conscience, I feel guilt even in private when no one is looking, I feel emotional empathy etc. I am sorry for being so confusing.

      4. Cat says:

Mommypino I agree in most cases. Knowing my own weaknesses.
Except, when it comes to narcissists, there was clearly something I needed to know, where my selfcritique was not getting me any further.

The knowledge that there are people in this world who can only only manipulate, every second of their life. I had no idea.

        Something about the enemy.

(Oh and my score was only 70, HG 😳)

        1. mommypino says:

Hi Cat, I loved that when we learn about ourselves in HG’s works we also learn about our strengths and not just our weaknesses. We also learn about the strengths and weaknesses of narcissists. We tend to reflect on our weaknesses but knowing ourselves mean also knowing our strengths and positives. Also this is the only place where I learned about how our positives and strengths get corrupted and cause us to behave in a way that doesn’t help up. That is a unique perspective from HG that I find to be immensely helpful in knowing myself.

          1. Cat says:

            Absolutely MP.

        2. mommypino says:

I think I may have been confusing with what I wrote previously. I didn’t mean to say that knowing the enemy is not important. It is absolutely important and as I have said in my previous reply that’s what changed my life, when I found HG’s work because I finally learned about my enemies and they are nothing like me. My mistake before finding HG’s works is that I thought that my enemies are like me so the solutions that I was coming up with to change their behaviors were meant for people that have conscience and empathy like apologizing, explaining myself, being extra nice to them etc. Those things did not work because they are not like us. Which is why even though I agree that we have to know ourselves and our enemies to win our battles, I disagree with the part that knowing our enemies is equal to knowing ourselves because they are not the same as we are. Knowing a narcissist is not the same as knowing an empath who is very different from a narcissist. And while I believe that it is essential to know our enemies (understand the narcissists in our lives), I still personally believe that knowing ourselves is the most important because even if we don’t have narcissists in our lives anymore, we still have to keep improving and evolving and discovering what we really want to do with our lives. I have learned a great deal about myself here at Narcsite through HG’s works and my interactions with people here and I think that it is very important.

          1. HG Tudor says:

“My mistake before finding HG’s works is that I thought that my enemies are like me so the solutions that I was coming up with to change their behaviors were meant for people that have conscience and empathy like apologizing, explaining myself, being extra nice to them etc. Those things did not work because they are not like us. ” – this is a key component for anybody wishing to move forward. Most victims do not (understandably) realise that this is the case and that their mindset has to be adjusted to cater for this. Well stated.

          2. lisk says:

Thank you for highlighting mommypino’s point, HG.

I needed to re-realize this today and for my week ahead.

What’s really great about this mindset readjustment is that it streamlines my dealings with certain people. It cuts out the crap and wasted energy of emotional thinking so that I can be more efficient and put my energies elsewhere.

          3. mommypino says:

Thank you HG. I would not have realized that if I didn’t find your work. You’re the teacher that got me moving forward.

          4. Violetta says:

            MP:

            I like your latest gravatar.

          5. mommypino says:

Thank you Violetta!! I like yours too!!

          6. alexissmith2016 says:

So true MP. Exactly the same. I thought everyone bar the most evil of serial killers must have a conscience. The fact that they do not and that they operate though a completely different world view was very tough to get my head around. But once you do, it changes everything. Some things still blow my mind, for example being asleep is a criticism????

          7. mommypino says:

Haha that blew my mind too!! It just doesn’t make sense (to us!). 😂

          8. Bibi says:

Exactly, Mommypino! We sit and wonder why they can’t see that their actions are hurtful, that their words are deceitful, manipulative, etc. and so for as long as we continue to think out of our own arsenal, we will continue to ask, why, why why??? Because it makes no sense! HG puts it into perspective via THEIR respective. And that makes all the difference.

Holy shit, I felt like I was just quoting Robert Frost. “And that made all the difference.”

          9. mommypino says:

            So true Bibi!

  15. Love says:

    Is there an answer sheet?

    1. HG Tudor says:

      Yes, Love, there is https://gum.co/FhUyr

  16. njfilly says:

I got 60 on the first try and 60 on the second try, so I will say I scored 120. (See how I have learned from Mr. HG Tudor!)

    1. HG Tudor says:

Tut tut. See me after class. And no, not like that.

      1. njfilly says:

I deliberately chose wrong answers. See you after class Master Tudor.

      2. Violetta says:

I knew she’d find a way to get detention.

        1. njfilly says:

          Huzzah!

    2. K says:

      njfilly
      Hahahaha…nice try!

      1. njfilly says:

        K,

        Actually, it worked.

I got what I was after (He he he!)

        1. K says:

          njfilly
          Hahahaha…the end justifies the means!

          1. njfilly says:

K, Yes, something else I learned from Mr. HG Tudor.

  17. Alexissmith2016 says:

A very, and I mean very shameful 45!

It’s probably because I’m in the dungeon and the lighting is poor down here.

Shit it! Now I’m blame-shifting on the dungeon!

    1. Violetta says:

The caterwauling of Celine distracted you.

      1. Alexissmith2016 says:

Hahhaha that true Violetta, thanks for the reminder.

    2. alexissmith2016 says:

After another shameful attempt, I’ve given up on empaths and back to the narcs!

I’ve been watching interviews of Putin as well as short videos Keir Starmer. It’s difficult to compare because in most of the interviews Putin is being questioned and therefore his control is being put under attack whereas the only interviews I could find of Keir he was the one doing the questioning. But it was quite obvious when Putin was questioned he scrunched his hands up here and there, more than I would have expected for a greater to be honest. Keir was very much in control and at all times, although annoyingly his hands were often hidden so I was unable to observe the same. However, it was clear to see his questioning was very well backed up with water tight evidence when in the commons. Looks like Boris has more than met his match, Keir is 100% greater for sure!

      1. SMH says:

I am also impressed with Sir Keir, alexssmith2016. His legal background is coming in handy.

  18. FoolMe1Time says:

I don’t know myself any better then I do a narcissist! I’m done!

  19. MommyPino says:

The number 8 though HG, if someone questions you on the blog about something in your work, does that automatically mean that they are not an empath? What if they just sincerely want to understand?

    1. MommyPino says:

I do ask this because I’m that kind of person who asks a lot of questions if I am someone’s student so I can see that others may have that tendency as well and just don’t want them to be labeled as unempathic because they challenge ideas. But I guess the operative word to number 8 is “keep”. I would agree that there is no sense to “keep attacking” if someone disagrees. An empath has no need to hound that person and keep attacking if the empath disagrees with that person.

      1. HG Tudor says:

Attacking and keep are the keywords, not asking a question. That’s not attacking.

        1. MommyPino says:

Thanks HG, I see the difference now. When I ask questions, it is because I am inquisitive and not because I want to attack.

          1. HG Tudor says:

I understand that and I’m pleased you see the difference.

        2. mommypino says:

Also I just wanted that clarified as I don’t want to see people getting labeled for asking questions because others thought the question was an attack. A lot of people that come here come from trauma and sometimes the questions can come off as an attack because of other reasons. Thank you again for making the difference clear.

          1. lisk says:

mommypino, with all due respect, you seem uncomfortable with holding your own ground.

I do not see why you should apologize or defend yourself for who you are or what you think or what you say or how you say it.

          2. mommypino says:

Thank you lisk. I just had to clarify because I felt that I didn’t express myself clearly with my previous comment that it may have been misunderstood. I’m not uncomfortable holding my ground but I sometimes worry that the way I wrote my English made my point misunderstood.

          3. lisk says:

Ah, that makes a lot of sense, mommypino. I’m glad you replied!

          4. mommypino says:

lisk, I thought this question was about the Sun Tzu quote. I didn’t see what this question was referring to until now.
            Thank you lisk.

    2. HG Tudor says:

      Read the question again.

  20. Whitney says:

75 HG 😀 And I knew the ones I was getting wrong. Unlike your other quizzes where I thought I’d get 100%

  21. E. B. says:

55 lowest score so far. Empaths are rare indeed. I was surprised about No. 3. That’s not me.

  22. Violetta says:

    55. I ain’t half disappointed.

    1. HG Tudor says:

      Boom tish!

  23. K says:

    Hot dog! I got a 70.

    1. HG Tudor says:

      K- boom

      1. K says:

        Hahahaha…thanks for the laugh HG!

        1. HG Tudor says:

          That’s o-k

          1. Violetta says:

A zillion kt. of puns around here.

          2. HG Tudor says:

            Stop Vi-ing for pun publicity!

          3. Violetta says:

You’re not going get vi-olent, are you?

          4. Bibi says:

            That’s o-theletterafterj

    2. MB says:

K, prime example of perspective. I got a 70 and was not happy at all.

      1. K says:

        MB
Hahahaha…you are right! Perspective makes all the difference. I tend to flip things so it works out for me.

      2. Bibi says:

MB, I can’t get above 50. I got 50, 35, 30, 50. I agree with you about questions can have more than one answer.

Such as needing to know if the narc is miserable. How is the empath saying this? ‘I need to know he is miserable (so I can feel justice has been obtained)? Or I need to know he is miserable b/c then my ET will take over and he will need me and regret leaving me?

        This one disappoints me.

        1. E. B. says:

          Bibi,
You answered No. 9. It is the former.

  24. SMH says:

I apparently do not know a thing about empaths either. Or maybe I am just bad at quizzes. Patience is not one of my virtues.

  25. MommyPino says:

80! This one was easy for me. 😎

    1. MommyPino says:

I’m happy not because of the score but because I was really sure of the answers that I got right which mean I’m really understanding myself better. A little self assurance does feel empowering. 👊

  26. Bibi says:

50!!! I could have sworn I knew all these. WTF? Now I am pissed. C’mon.

    1. Bibi says:

Then I took it again and scored worse. “HG Tudor is being coy”

    2. Bibi says:

Got a 50 again, which is better. Can we grade on a curve?

      1. Sweetest Perfection says:

Bibi, I heard at Vaknin Technical College they curve the grades…

        1. Bibi says:

          Bahahaha

Only if Richard Grannon is my TA! Where I can learn all about ‘Inverted Narcissists’.

        2. Love says:

          Vakin has a school now???

          1. HG Tudor says:

            No, it was a joke.

  27. blackcoffee30 says:

First of all, one of the questions made me laugh so hard I snorted my beverage. Ouch, and I can’t stop coughing. Secondly, 50%??!?! What the what?! I’m so ashamed. LOL

I’ll probably do the ED because, more than anything, I want to know about my narcissistic traits.

    1. HG Tudor says:

I would recommend doing both the ED and the Trait Detector Consultations BC30 based on what you would like to know.

    2. Sweetest Perfection says:

Some of the options made me giggle, blackcoffee. I was gonna choose those based on the sense of humor solely.

      1. blackcoffee30 says:

Those are likely to be the correct answers!

      2. Violetta says:

Sweet P: glad to see you around again.

You know what I wanted to answer to #13!

        1. Sweetest Perfection says:

Thank you, Violetta! Does your favorite answer smell good or is it combustible? Both are equally hilarious.

          1. Violetta says:

Smells reasonably good on me, probably smells better when mixed with HG’s personal chemistry.

Seriously, scent is important. I once tried my friend’s Ralph Lauren, which smelled crisp and fresh on her. The minute it hit my skin, it turned into old orange peels rotting in the garbage. She tried my violets perfume, which turned into burned rubber on her.

When people choose a scent, they aren’t just showing status and taste (i.e., Creed vs. One Million or Axe). They are also showing how much they grasp about their own pheremones, whether consciously or not. They don’t have to know sod-all about base notes or sillage; they just have to recognize that the one Everybody Is Wearing does not work with them (even if they don’t know exactly why), or that something else does.

          2. mommypino says:

I sampled Creed when I was at an airport and I think the best is the Viking and I have read somewhere here that it’s the one HG uses. It smelled very clean and masculine but in a sophisticated way. It really smelled expensive. I can just imagine that smell really increasing a woman’s ET very much.

          3. Sweetest Perfection says:

Oh i asked because the option of the twin flame made me giggle too. But I agree that your skin ph interacts with the scent you wear and it depends of your alkalinity or acidity how it will blend in. I stopped seeing a guy because I couldn’t stand his body odor. He was gorgeous and very sweet. He didn’t smell bad per se, it wasn’t that he didn’t shower or anything like that. I just didn’t find it pleasing and I couldn’t stand close for long.

          4. zwartbolleke says:

            Violetta,

do you know what is the best scent a woman can wear?
In matters of seducing a partner, it might sound grose but it is true, just use some of the moisture of your vagina, a little bit behind your ears, the pheromones it contains will just turn your partner go wild, it is instinct taking over, they cannot resist that. If you use a smell from a bottle, you interfere with your own smell, in matters of seducing this is the wrong move!
            Yes, tested and approved! hahaha!

            Sweetest:
I had exactly the same experience!
And it was so regrettable, because we are still best friends now, we like each other so much, we spend many many hours together, but the smell was just ‘wrong’ for more then friendship…
I was never able to explain him why, so sad.

          5. Sweetest Perfection says:

Zwartbolleke, alternatively you can … wait a minute! HG, are witchcraft recipes also banned from the blog or just the normal ones? Asking for a friend.

          6. HG Tudor says:

The only recipe allowed is a recipe for disaster.

          7. Violetta says:

            Sweet P:

I’ve broken up with a guy if I don’t like how his neck smells. I don’t say that, of course; it’s something like, “I don’t feel any chemistry with you.” As you say, it’s not hygiene: somebody else might like his pheremones just fine. We’re mammals, even if we don’t use scent as much as animals do.

Years ago, some guy threw rocks at a tiger, which managed to climb out of the enclosure and maul the sonofabitch. The lawyer in the suit against the zoo (enclosure not high enough) was ranting about how it had nothing to do with the rock throwing, the zoo put everyone in danger, how could the tiger recognize him out of all the other people at the zoo? (Of course it had smelled him, and ignored all the other tasty humans in the vicinity.)

          8. Sweetest Perfection says:

Violetta, my dog knows when I cheat on him with other dogs in the neighborhood as soon as I open the door and I’m sure he knows exactly with whom. He gives me the cold shoulder for a while after that.

          9. HG Tudor says:

            You degenerate SP!

          10. Sweetest Perfection says:

I’m a dirty empath, noblesse oblige!

          11. Violetta says:

            ZB:

I actually have read that, but I’m not going to do it. Aside from any other consideration, what if it attracts the wrong people?

Anyhow, I try not to pile it on. A mere hint that people may not even notice consciously (one reason I wish my sense of smell would come back). The idea is something that works with you, not something poured on in an unsuccessful attempt to cover bad hygiene that just makes everyone in the subway gag.

          12. Sweetest Perfection says:

Violetta, “what if it attracts the wrong people?” Well, I think most of us here attracted the wrong people without even wearing our vagina scent…

          13. Violetta says:

            Sweet P:

            That’s for damned sure!

  28. Kim e says:

Looking like my elbow won this round

    1. HG Tudor says:

      Ha ha!

  29. Cindy says:

50..I don’t know the half of it.

    1. HG Tudor says:

      Boom boom!

  30. Are you going to give the answers, I only got a 50, maybe I should more on my kind then yours lol

    1. HG Tudor says:

Yes eventually. If you look at the other quizzes Vanessa you see the dynamic of how they function

  31. Leigh says:

Number 12 really stumped me. I don’t know those terms. Where can I find them?

    1. HG Tudor says:

      Do the Empath Detector

      1. Leigh says:

I would love to do the empath detector. It’s not something that’s in my budget. I usually buy a book or logic bulletin once or twice a month. Sometimes I have my mom or my best friend get me something too. I’m not so destitute that I would need to use the Angel Assistance Fund. The victims who need that are far worse off then me. Its just that my budget is limited and so I try to learn with the tools that I can afford.

        1. HG Tudor says:

That is fair enough Leigh. There is more information about the schools and cadres of the empaths in various blog articles also which are of course accessible gratis.

        2. lisk says:

          Same here, Leigh.

I have a budget and am in no position to use the AAF.

I have been saving up, though, and believe I will be able go for the Empath Detector this coming week. I mainly want to find out if I am an empath at all.

HG, how much time/effort does one need to put into completing the ED questionnaire?

          1. HG Tudor says:

It is designed to be straight forward to answer and therefore would take less than 30 minutes. The complexity lies in the analysis.

          2. lisk says:

Oh, awesome, HG. Happy to pay for your expert analysis.

          3. HG Tudor says:

I look forward to delivering it to you.

          4. Leigh says:

Lisk, I try to save up and then I see a logic bulletin or two and want to purchase them instead. My birthday is coming up and I’m specifically asking for gift cards and I plan on purchasing it then. I’m hoping I get enough to do the trait detector too. I’m curious to see if I’m an empath at all too.

          5. blackcoffee30 says:

I got my ED results today. I highly recommend it. It quickly made everything crystal clear!

          6. HG Tudor says:

            Good to read.

          7. lisk says:

I purchased mine a week ago. I am waiting for a good, calm time to do it.

            Was it easy to do?

          8. blackcoffee30 says:

Yes, it was easy. It took about two hours. I did it, took a break and came back to review and revise. However, I was brutally honest with myself and forthcoming, so I could get accurate results. I recommend doing it in a quiet space with a cup of coffee, tea, or cocoa. Something like that. 🙂

          9. lisk says:

            Cocoa. Coffee. Tea.

            I love all three!

            Thank you, bc30!

        3. Bibi says:

I want to do it too! But as budget allows. HG, I am sorry when I have been obnoxious in my comments. I think the empath detector would be fascinating.

          1. HG Tudor says:

            Not a problem, Bibi.

  32. Witch says:

Wow, I scored 65… how do I not know my own people!!!???

    1. Witch, I thought the same. Take out the sections I haven’t read about yet, and I’ve still got questions ‘wrong’. But then your answers are likely heavily coloured by the type of empath you are, your mood at the time of the test, whether you actually have the situational experience to draw on and so precisely categorise the associated emotion. I thought some questions were a mix of answers but then had to choose. The corruption questions threw me for a loop as well, but ultimately, it’s a knowledge test, not a strength test 🙂 A strength test would be concentrated away from the narcissist and focussed across the emotional empathic spectrum. Am I miffed though? Yep !

      1. Witch says:

I did the test again and still got 65 lol
16 and 19 definitely threw me
And the weaponised remembrance one thingy… like what???
        I’ll try a third time

        1. Witch, if you keep doing the test, you answer contrary to what you actually feel to improve the score. Essentially, to beat the test or perhaps the narcissist lol. The score is the score, and your score is just fine 🙂 This is pretty funny though. How do you get a bunch of empaths to go stir crazy? Easy, just give them a quiz 😂

          1. Witch says:

Yep I did that with the fourth try and got less, 60 haha
I was trying to work out what answers I’m getting wrong

5 wrong! That’s still a lot for an empath answering a quiz about empaths

          2. WhoCares says:

truthseeker6157 – “How do you get a bunch of empaths to go stir crazy? Easy, just give them a quiz.”. That IS funny – especially, make the quiz *about* empaths.

        2. Witch says:

75 this time, so how many did I get wrong… I’m bad at maths

          1. HG Tudor says:

            5 wrong, 15 right, decent.

    2. Sweetest Perfection says:

I was confident I got this one right. I’m gonna have to transfer schools.

      1. HG Tudor says:

        Ha ha

  33. Leigh says:

I think I have the answer to all my problems with the narcissist. I have narcissistic fleas, lol! That one made me chuckle!

  34. Stella SHELF Unmaskers says:

I wonder what the right response is at the question 8, HG. I’ve chosen b) because in Italy many people who are filled with their Emotional Thinking keep on smearing me because I promote your work, but have you got any evidence of such behaviours also in UK? I suppose so, since you created this question. What is the matter with these people in your opinion?

    1. HG Tudor says:

      See the answers SSU.

  35. WokeAF says:

    80/100 woot!

    1. WhoCares says:

      Awesome – WokeAF!

  36. Presque Vu says:

    60!!
    How can this be!
HG something is wrong with your quiz 😆

    1. HG Tudor says:

      Stop blame shifting, PQ!

      1. Presque Vu says:

        Moi? 😆

  37. truthseeker6157 says:

I did rubbish. Think I might have turned narcissist lol

  38. WhoCares says:

    75!

    Finally – I know SOMETHING.

  39. MB says:

Tricky HG. Many questions have more than one correct answer. On this one, you only give credit for the BEST answer. You torture me!

    1. HG Tudor says:

Wrong “T” word, MB, I teach you!

      1. MB says:

I want partial credit for partially correct answers! I’ve always thought it was unfair for teachers to ask questions on tests for material that hasn’t been covered. Maybe I missed the lesson on the Remembrance Empath and the variances between a Total, Majority, Minority, and Hybrid. I’ve not been very active on the blog lately.

        1. HG Tudor says:

You’ve done the ED, MB, so you should be able to work out the Total/Majority etc. With the Remembrancer that arises from the WEC, again you may be able to work it out, even if you have not undertaken the WED or if you have and you did not have the category, by thinking about what that WED does and how an empath acts. As always, not getting 100% does not mean someone is not an empath or they are stupid, it demonstrates there remains work to be done with regard to understanding but you do not have to become the expert because you have ACCESS to the expert.

          1. MB says:

Understood HG. Thank you for the extra clarification. I had worked it out on my own from your earlier answer that “T” is for teach.

As ever, it is a matter of perspective. You view the quiz and answers as an opportunity for teaching and learning. I view the quiz as a barometer of my understanding of the material. Now that I know your perspective, I’ll not fret about a failing grade.

        2. K says:

          MB
I fudged the one re: Remembrance Empath.

        3. K says:

          MB
Oops! Fudged, in this context means to manipulate, I just made a guess.

        4. K says:

          MB
Hahahaha…BTW, I strongly suspect your empathic trait of fairness has come to the fore.

          1. MB says:

K, “I strongly suspect your empathic trait of fairness has come to the fore.” Ya Think?!? Haha

          2. K says:

            MB
Hahahaha…I just couldn’t resist teasing you!

          3. MB says:

Guilty as charged K! Truth seeker trait not be outdone. Ha ha
