Valuable information HG.
Thank you.
Hopeless
Even if you managed not to engage verbally (and that is easier said than done because narcissists excel at button pushing and empaths are by nature emotional) your actions and expressions convey messages and will betray you. The narcissist will be fuelled and you can easily get sucked back in. It is best to GOSO (Get Out Stay Out) and not be in the arena at all.
Hi,
Isn’t “keeping your mouth shut”, similar to the “grey rock” method? Basically it’s not giving any emotional fuel.
Thanks,
No.
Hi Hopeless, I know you received your answer from HG, but I just wanted to say this logic bulletin is fantastic and highly useful if you interact with a N. It has nothing to do with the “grey rock” concept. I highly recommend “Keeping Your Mouth Shut,” it will save you from many provocations, manipulations and other N abuse.
Thank you FYC.
My pleasure, HG. If I’d had access to your knowledge when growing up it would have changed everything — better late than never though! I have applied the advice imparted in “The Virtues of Keeping Your Mouth Shut” and I am so glad I did. So simple and so wise.
