I didnt used to but more and more im seeing the snakes in the grass and either say goodbye or steer clear the best i can. In the workplace im careful around suspected narcs not to say too much but also not to be too closed mouthed either bc they can smell a peson thats onto them and then its game on for sabatoging their career in some way.
You have stated that your existence as a narcissist was “made”, not something you were born with. WAs this transition gradual or sudden? Prior tothis trsnsition, did you have feelings of emptiness, feel “dead inside”, or joyless?
I need to know if this path to narcissism is inevitable, or stoppable? What can change it?
I do not recall a sudden transformation therefore it must have been gradual. Or then again, perhaps it was a sudden transformation and I just do not recall.
Lol! You have such a cute personality, 12345. That little birdie was definitely me, when I was 19 and (cluelessly) in an incredibly stressful/painful relationship with a narcissist. But this go-around (which I now know was a Hoover)… well, thanks to gut instinct and this supportive site/HG’s info — this little birdie flew away from that scary snake. My NC is still holding, though I’m still fairly nervous that the snake (an Elite UMRer) will show up physically sometime, based on stuff he said before I went NC…but I feel much better equipped now, especially with Cold Logic.

I guess, it is a “Narc-Maniac’s Truth”.
Targeting. Hunting. Killing.
It was Ted Bundy’s method. No relationship. Just killing.
Interesting, he didn’t kill women he lived with. Yes, he destroyed them in a Narcissistic way, but he didn’t show his violent “dark side” to them.

This picture breaks me heart. At least the bird will die quickly. Unlike us….s l o w e s t death imaginable.

How ’bout you? Is your snake leaving you alone?
