This is a must read. If there’s anything that’s going to cool off the attraction to a narc it is their mindset during sex with you.
Joanne, this was also the book that cured me from desiring the narc handyman who tried to ensnare me. So many bad things could have happened. I didn’t even know that guy. He just did some work at our house. I’m not really sure what spell I was under but this book was the antidote.

They DO cast spells! I highlighted so many points in SATN, but the words have not escaped my brain. While I do still enjoy his attention (when he grants it), I know there is NO WAY I could ever be physical with him now. The faked intimacy, the “performance” of it all, the idea of his being there only to harvest fuel — NO. He once said to me that it’s his objective to make his partner climax stronger and more intensely every time. 1st, based on our interactions, I doubt he’s even capable of that, but 2nd, assuming he actually IS capable, I see now WHY that is his objective. He also said that a guy can finish “anytime.” Ok. Just so many things aligned with points from this book and I only had to read one chapter to see that. (Of course I read the entire thing.) Sick, sad, pathetic. Glad to at least have THAT part of the spell lifted!
Joanne, I totally agree with you. And also the possibility of being in a scrapbook kills it for me.
