Why Are Narcissists Haphazard?
The sackings, the broken marriages, failed relationships, the bankruptcies, reckless spending, the fighting with friends and families, the turbulent home environment – all narcissists are haphazard aren´t they?
Or are they?
Which narcissists are?
Which ones are not and why not?
Why do certain narcissists fail to see how messed up their lives are?
As ever, HG Tudor has the answers to these questions and more.

Yup. Today, I took a call from the narc. First phone call I had to take in 1.5 years, and now I know why. He’s a hot mess, and actually randomly just hung up the phone because i refused to engage. I was more interested in just documenting that I took the call for court reasons, than to try to create a diplomatic discussion with a narc..
*Our daughter was sick
* He fired his nanny because he felt disrespected. The examples of disrespect by the nanny were normal everyday mishaps.
*Therefore, I didn’t feel comfortable sending my daughter back to him.
*He rambled on about his new job that I don’t even care to ask about, because he is always leaving jobs these days.
* He claimed that if he “started making enough money”, that he was going to enroll our daughter at a preschool down the street. He didn’t care our daughter is extremely fond and happy with this nanny, he didn’t care about covid19, he didn’t care to think about the fact he fired a nanny right when he started a new job.
Like how stupid can he get? But the collateral damage did not enter the conversation once, nor did I bring it up. He just kept focusing on how the nanny disrespected him by not taking him seriously enough.
When looked at from our POV, it is nonsensical (sensical in his word).
What collateral damage??? (there is none in his reality and, if there is, it isn’t his fault anyway; he is the victim! And he will use this incident to gather pity (fuel) or frustration (fuel) from you and others)
It’s all about (direct, indirect and withdrawal) control in the moment. It’s like being dragged into the Twilight Zone; it really is an alternate reality and it is an excellent example of gaslighting.
The story of being fired from a job reminded me of a tale about a guy who had come up for several warnings in his role and was required to report to the higher ups once more. Par for the course was to allow for a support person to attend the meeting as well. This guy, amusingly, brought a clown in with him 😛 Of course, the clown was offering numerous reactions to what was being said and rubbed his eyes as if crying when the guy was told he was fired. I thought it was brilliant and decided there and then to hire a clown if similar necessary circumstances arose. So much better than offering a middle finger when all is said and done! Now I am pondering if this guy was a narc and what school and cadre he might be. It’s a lol from me either way 🙂
Haha, I was pondering the same LET. Was that clown-bringing guy a narc? Very entertaining story. They often make a huge deal of themselves. Giant ship sailing around. With a big rear end.
He obviously wasn’t concerned about his warnings or getting fired. In fact, he seemed to be lapping it up in terms of turning it into a bit of a show. It was every bit the middle finger being given in a highly entertaining fashion. Now, I don’t know who would think of that, but I applaud his genius in having the last word and the last laugh in the circumstances. Still smiling at the thought of it 🙂
Thought more of your story, Lickemtomorrow
Does it actually Always take a narc to be this creative?
I hope and think not.
Judging from HG’s lists narc-or-not of celebrities, I notice that some extroverted Contagion and Magnet empaths can act similar and creative. But those empaths might do a clown show to help a collegue instead of helping themselves. Mostly. I guess.
Have to say I agree, AC 🙂 There are some very creative empaths, and I also think in terms of what a creative empath might do they might be less inclined to use a method like this as a way of making a statement (shall we say :P). But, can’t forget the ability of empaths to also dial down some of those empathic traits at times. I might use the clown if I was pissed off enough, though somehow it would seem like the more grandiose action of a narcissist. He doesn’t seem to have taken his warnings seriously and is making a mockery of management. In most cases an empath would likely take on board any criticism, be apologetic, and do their best to set things right. Or I imagine if a situation is bad enough – management wise – they would likely just resign. That’s not to say we can’t put up a fight. We’re all so individual it’s hard to say for sure. But YAY for creative empaths, too <3 Can't let the narcs have all the fun!
