I know this is going to answer some very recent questions (I’ve not watched the video yet) and talk about synchronicity! This is probably exactly what I needed to hear for a couple of months now. Super excited to come across this.I’ll probably post another comment after I’m done listening.
perhaps it’s not a good practice but if a person presents themselves as a highly successful person in any field I am going to automatically assume they are a narcissist and apply the rules of narcissist thinking until they prove to me otherwise.Of course I know all highly successful people are not narcissists but until proven not to be you are one as far as I am concerned. It used to puzzle me how these mega church healing evangelist could just exaggerate in the least and out and out lie in the most. Why ? of course bigger ministries and more money but what went on in their brains as to how they could justify lying when they are supposed to stand for the truth. Now if you HG wanted to tell us you met Elon musk and he took you for a ride in his spaceship and all you really did was meet him and he showed you his spaceship and I believed you. So what…It would be an entertaining story like watching a movie based on true events and we can choose which events we believe. So you look like a real cool guy and you think you pull the wool over our eyes. Who cares It has no real bearing on my life knock yourself out. But when these ministries out and out lie to their congregants that’s a different story. they justify lying about all the people who got healed and then telling the people you can have the same miracle in your life whether they give money or not that is spiritual abuse. I listen to you describing narcissist thinking what difference does it make they really can’t prove that it’s not true. You have plausible deniability. So these ministries will think what difference does it make I’m just raising the faith level of the people they can’t prove it didn’t really happen. And if they question I will question their level of faith / belief after all it’s for their own good. Embellishment?? How they could justify lying?. Now I get it because they are narcissists and they engage in narcissistic thinking because that’s what narcissists do. The bastards.
One of mine would tell me he went to a concert of EVERY musician I mentioned. I didn’t believe it because some of the claims were laughable. I figured he was just a braggart and rolled my eyes behind his back. I often wondered why lied about it. Now I know.
There have been stories about this huge owl that attacks cars late at night in an area about 20 miles northeast of where I live circulating for years. The narc I know who spins tales like this used to live in that general vicinity and so I asked him if he’d heard the stories and what he thought about it all. Wanna guess his response? He killed that owl!
Bwahahaha! He’s too much!!! The owl that attacks cars on a desolate road that no one has hardly seen, much less been able to photograph or get video of, was killed by the narc I know. LOL. Maybe I need to embellish his story with some triple word scores of my own.
He sounds like a real hoot.

I saw this video earlier today and I recall past narcissists doing this ’embellishment’ of their ‘achievements’ – when in fact, some were not actually achievements in the sense of the word.

He was on Facebook last year, bragging about his “warehouse full of stuff” that he acquired in just a few months’ time. I’m sure the people who read that and had never visited him there were not thinking about the rubbage heap that was mainly gotten either out of dumpsters or through ill-gotten gains. Or that most of it was taken apart and never put back together. Bwahaha! Gotta love the guy though cuz his tall tales are nothing but interesting.
Laughing….. at your description, sounds like the guy will be getting a visit from Environmental Health at some point. I know about the household goods & furniture recycling / reuse business but what I have read in your comment sounds like a new landfill is being created 😉 .
