Perfect timing, I need to read this again. And listen to the ANC instructions again in The Parental Narcissist. Just complaining to a friend about my mother, I do not do this often, hardly ever anymore. But she’s been pulling some real stinkers recently. They can sure be conniving when their “needs” aren’t being met. Two of my kids won’t even go upstairs anymore, all she does is trap them and request them to do things for her, they hate it! Now that she’s caught on that I don’t go up, out come the tricks. Funny thing is, it’s been almost a year since I went ANC, after my dad died. And it just seems to be escalating now. Does it take this long to run out of fuel? Or did my daughter moving out a few months ago exacerbate it? It is strange. But, no more complaining, who needs to dwell on that!
