Glorious Furious

Why does he lash out at you, abuse, assault and insult?

Why do you get ignored and cold-shouldered?

Why does he walk off and disappear?

Here is the answer.

I’m trying to figure out how to buy the books and not get “caught” by Himself who sees and knows all. Possessing such material would set himself off and send him into a raging fit and thus endanger life as I know it. Maybe, he leaves me forever wondering, never knowing…any ideas?

You could buy the paperbacks and stash them somewhere away from the home – perhaps to read at work during lunch, or at a friend’s house.
Since you do not need a kindle to read them, you could download them to an electronic device with the free Kindle app and ensure he has no access to that device and also ensure you read the material so he cannot look over your shoulder.
You could wait for the audio versions (although no set date for those yet as I need to find time to go into the studio) and you could then listen to them whilst driving or with greater privacy on headphones.

My greatest challenge is the fact that he controls 100% of the money. Any and all purchases go through him for approval. While he will never deny, audibly, my purchase, I will in fact experience hell for it. You know! I think, after deliberation, I will ask my sister to purchase them and mail them to me. Then I will try to hide this. I do not work outside the home and keep no friends. As you well know, nothing can be hidden from he who knows all. I need to be informed though.

Sometimes you cannot place a price on freedom and sometimes you must take a risk to achieve it.
Yes your sister would be a useful conduit or she could get you an amazon giftcard so you can download the ones which are not in paperback.

Of course! The gift card…an option I had not considered…brilliance! Your advice had been greatly appreciated, thank you!

            You are welcome.

  2. HG, you are such a good teacher not only to truly understanding narcessist butunderstanding the people drawn to them and why. Your books bring such clarity and explain everything so well. I’m reading Your Fault and am at the part where you describe empaths and codependents. Truly helping me understand myself and my relationship with DN and a few others😕

If possible think I’m an empath that became codependent (not necessarily a full blown out one) bc of guilt. Who finally got tired but then tried to break away only to return and continue to try to fix not only bc it is in my nature but bc I felt so bad about my own mistakes. Much more empath though bc although I do still feel a little guilt, I’ve gotten over it, got a self esteem, gotten on with my life, and know I can survive without DN. Think that’s why he continues to try to suck me back in.
I think I’m going to read the sex one next. …need some heat!

Thank you for reading Alex and I am pleased you find my work of interest and use to you. With much of this, it is just as much about understanding what you are as understanding what we are, such is the level of entwinement. You will enjoy Sex and the Narcissist, there’s some spice in there.

  3. I just got through reading Fury by HG Tudor (“Tudor”) and to date, it is one of my favorite of his books and one of the most helpful when it pertains to how anger and criticism is interpreted from the narcissistic point of view. If you are dealing with a narcissist in the workplace, classroom, family, romantic relationship or otherwise, this book is an excellent resource on how a Narcissist reacts harshly to what others may simply view as a different opinion or shared closeness of new ideas.

Another additional treat in this book is that Tudor channels back into his childhood and recalls events that shaped the development that ignites fury (whether in fire or ice or a shield) in the narcissist. I believe this book is a great resource for teachers, parent, stepparents, and anyone who is in contract with a Narcissist to understand the delicacy of delivery to be able to relate in a positive manner with communication glitches.

Tudor was groomed by the golden child in his family. To date, there is little to NO resources regarding the golden child or any depths to recovery (Tudor is currently in counseling and part of his treatment was to better make others aware of NPD) so I find this invaluable on how to understand the inner workings of NPD and how common miscommunication errors can result in sometimes what one may perceive as a normal dialogue. Naturally, another thing that I REALLY appreciate about Tudor is that he does not write from a psychologist text book angle so it is easily understood and followed and makes for an informative and enjoyable read.

Sometimes I have thought too highly of myself…as if I could be the Sociopath Whisperer, or even the Narcissist Whisperer, and make them want to see the light. But, I know I am very highly incapable of such a feat. Only The Lord could do this, and only if the Sociopath/Narcissist actually wanted to change, as The Lord does not put us on strings as a marionette would be. The Lord is not a Narcissist. He is Kind and Good to us. It is, we, who make the bad choices for ourselves and others- not our Holy Father.
