I have been thinking about this “moving fast” both sides do IMO just for different reasons.
My ex didn’t move fast, when the “deal” was sealed it was sealed. I remember what I said that day, it stands out brightly now in the moment it was subtle.
Does a Greater instinctively know to either move fast or slow? I caught him in a lie from our first conversation and asked him to explain, I could see his perspective and why he didn’t believe he lied yet he lead me to think another. I knew he was different yet He intrigued me, why I stayed.

      Indeed we do know.

      1. Twilight says:

        Thank you HG.

        1. HG Tudor says:

          You are welcome.

  2. T says:

It all seems to me like not only are we your drug,”fuel”, you are also a drug for the empath. Like two knots tangled together.

    1. HG Tudor says:

      It is a symbiotic relationship.

      1. Insatiable Learner says:

It is a parasitic relationship with the narc as a parasite. In a symbiotic relationship, both benefit and neither is harmed.

        1. T says:

I don’t know, IL, I believe it can work both ways, both parasites who are in a fight to win. A fight for power. Empaths enjoy power as well. Some more than others

        2. NarcAngel says:

It could be argued that an empath benefits, but for different reasons than a narcissist and for a lesser period of time.

      2. Somewhere over the rainbow says:

“Psychologically, we use the term symbiosis in a similar way to describe a relationship where two people function as one. However, in contrast to the biological term, it refers to a relationship pattern which is not healthy, since a couple is existentially two separate people who need to be separate for both of them to be able to express their individuality and different needs.”

      3. Lisbeth says:

The Narc needs it to be that way!! He pushes for that. That’s why in the courtship stage they move fast. To hook you

      4. K says:

“Lichens are a complex life form that is a symbiotic partnership of two separate organisms, a fungus (narc) and an alga (CoD). The dominant partner is the fungus, which gives the lichen the majority of its characteristics.”

The fungus provides the shelter while the alga provides the food (fuel). When I look at lichen, I see the CoD relationship with the narc.

        1. MB says:

          A fungus among us?

      5. K says:

Fungus is everywhere MB, and bacteria. Narcissism is applicable to so many things in life and I try to have fun with it.
