I didn’t get the marry part, but “it is meant to be” is kind of similar. Of course he would never be as effective as Dave Gahan, but he also said “I’m gonna take my time. I like a good delay. It’s a question of time.” And I’m sure he feels like I can’t be happy out there without him cause it’s no good… for his ego.
He will often behave in a dangerous way or just leave in silence, leaving you to say to him ‘that all I want to do is see you’ whilst you ponder the meaning of love. Ultimately you will understand this is a Strangelove so you can get behind the wheel and shake the disease.
