  1. ANM says:

I remember this movie playing non-stop in the background during Christmas throughout my childhood. He is very much like all of my uncles on my moms side, who are also Irish-Amercian, and very much involved in Military or Law-Enforcement. He is a Dirty Empath.

  2. AnneB says:

can’t wait to do this, but have to so will do!. Looking forward to this!

  3. K says:

    Narcissist.

  4. Notme! says:

    MRN somatic narcissist!
    – hasn’t seen his wife for a year and thinks he can show up and be welcomed like nothing happened
    – grandiose gestures galore
    – her ET is ALL over the place
    – superiority in his interaction with authorities, apart from the empath cop who falls for him in an instant
    – absolute need for control over wife, cops and bad guys
    – dismissive of wife’s career
    – absent patent
-changed jobs frequently as people get pissed off with his macho nonsense and rule breaking
    – clear thoughts of rules not applying to him
    – anyone who knows a MRN knows all about the one liners that get trotted out again and again for years

  5. E&L says:

He is a CoD. His addiction is to ridding the world of “Bad Guys” so he can assuage his own failings, flaws and shortcomings of character (as a cop, as a father, as a son, as a man, as a human). There is no way to avail the world of such evil other than complete obliteration, hence the killing of 70+ people. His strength is believing to live by a moral compass and the ability to withstand seemingly unbearable situations.

    1. njfilly says:

“There is no way to avail the world of such evil other than complete obliteration,”,,, I agree.

    2. E&L says:

My lack of intellect is front and center. My husband just told me I used the word avail incorrectly (means to benefit or use). Let me use an appropriate word “rid”. My inner critic is saying “you fucking idiot…shut up” so I will now to alleviate myself of any further embarrassment. Goodbye commenting! Haste luego motherfucker!

  6. Argb says:

I haven’t been playing this game, though i have been following it and i wanted to share something i just learned: i dk how to assess facts (like the character summary) for people. I either like them (or not) and its all intuition based.

I just realized how i implement my emotional thinking and need to work on using more of my logical thinking (when it comes to getting involved with people).

I was getting so overwhelmed. Each character HG brought up, i would see the summary and think thats not how i view this character…i wonder why…now i know.

Can’t wait to see where McClane will end up.

    Happy game playing!!

    1. Mercy says:

Argb, There are some readers that are really good at writing their assessments. I lack the ability to write my thoughts like others, but I’ve enjoyed reading everyone else’s thoughts and opinions. It’s been an educational and entertaining exercise.

  7. ThePolicyOfTruth says:

I’ve never seen Die Hard *hides*

    1. HG Tudor says:

      Send her down….

      1. ThePolicyOfTruth says:

*hands up* I know I know, it’s shameful. Don’t shoot! I’ll watch it after Rogue One! 😉

        1. Violetta says:

          I haven’t seen it either.
          Oh sheeit….

          1. HG Tudor says:

            Unclean! Exiled!

          2. Violetta says:

No! Not Celine Dion on repeat!

            Make it STOPPPPPPPPPPPP

          3. Violetta says:

I’d be glad to see it; I’ve liked him ever since Moonlighting.

          4. K says:

            Violetta
            Moonlighting was great.

          5. Violetta says:

Until Willis and Shepherd stopped arguing and it turned into a soap opera.

          6. K says:

            Violetta
Romance often ruins a good series. ER sucked after they added in all of the romantic bullshit so I stopped watching it.

          7. Lorelei says:

I loved ER. I was in school when it came out!

          8. K says:

            George Clooney was hot!

          9. Lorelei says:

K—he was hot! I hope your day is fabulous. I just woke up from working all night and I’m cooking salmon and green beans. I’m eating much better than HG’s little salad on IG. I miss the kids of course but we are Kentucky bound for New Years and I’m excited! Have a fabulous rest of the day!

          10. K says:

            Lorelei
My day is perfect; we are making gimp bracelets and watching Harry Potter. Merry Christmas and enjoy the day!

          11. Lorelei says:

Enjoy! I’m headed to the call of duty!

          12. Violetta says:

The arguing in Moonlighting was more romantic than the romance. They didn’t know what they had.

    2. blackunicorn123 says:

TPOT – me neither! I can’t stand Bruce Willis so that was that!

      1. HG Tudor says:

        Heretic! Burn ! Burn!

        1. ThePolicyOfTruth says:

Shit we’re painted black now! *Appeases HG with mulled wine and mince pie*

          1. Violetta says:

HG, want some hot buttered rum?

            Venison?

          2. HG Tudor says:

A freshly plucked soul from a Sister of the Empathic Redemption

          3. Violetta says:

Seducing empaths for pluckage isn’t in my skill set. Go pluck yourself.

        2. blackunicorn123 says:

HG! I can’t believe you like him! He’s a terrible actor. Almost as bad as Keanu.
I’ll set myself on fire, shall I?!! 😈

          1. Violetta says:

See Moonlighting and The Sixth Sense. He has range.

          2. blackunicorn123 says:

            Yeah, limited range! 😂

          3. Anm says:

            BlackUnicorn,
Keanu is trained at a military level for martial arts and weapons/shooting skills. Anyone who is trained, will tell you that Keanu Reeves is not acting. Plus he is so damn sexy, generous, and humble.

          4. HG Tudor says:

            He is a pleasant chap.

          5. blackunicorn123 says:

I don’t doubt him personally, just his acting skills. They’re not military grade! 😂

          6. Mercy says:

I can’t believe what I’m reading. This is crazy talk. Keanu Reeves and Bruce Willis helped me get through sex many times with my lessers ex years ago. They’ve been very kind to me.

          7. blackunicorn123 says:

            Fair enough!! 😂

          8. Lorelei says:

My friend had lunch with Keanu last year. I have pictures but can’t post them here!

  8. BL says:

I’m beginning to think I’ve fallen victim to a narcissist because I think everyone except a sweet reindeer is perfectly normal. Anyway, here we go:
-a reluctant hero who dislikes his rise to fame? I mean, I feel we can stop here, as what narc doesn’t want to be in the spotlight, but let’s continue…
-lack of concern for his safety, never say die, John Wayne attitude? No way a narc would have so little self concern
-divorced. Um, no. He’s not willingly letting you go. Ever.
-worked as a police officer in major cities… doing a risky job helping others?! Yawn, please…
-rated 3rd badass. THIRD? nope, first or nothing for the narc.
    – Lost parents early, so he doesn’t properly know how to bond with his own kids, but this is not malicious and, therefore, not necessarily narc-ish
-has vices of smoking and drinking, but this is just to cope with the stress of his work.

    My verdict, as usual: normal

  9. njfilly says:

I don’t care what he is. He is my kind of man. Love him.

  10. Jules says:

As Die Hard is my all time favorite Christmas movie…and John McClane my all time favorite hero…i feel an empathetic kinship with him…but then again…maybe that is why i am in this shit position to begin with. Not every tortured soul has empathy. FUCK! You ruin EVERYTHING!
