I loaned him over $4000 and bought him a damn Rolex and Prada briefcase over the course of 3 years. Then when we broke up bc he was cheating again, I told the girl he was cheating with what he was all about. He is an attorney so it cost him nothing, but he sued me for $150,000 for defamation. He knew it would get thrown out in court and it did. But he knew I’d have to pay an attorney to respond. After all his frivolous replies it cost $17,000. Add to this the countless hours of therapy, meds, babysitters bc I couldn’t function. I’ll never recover. I’m broken financially and emotionally.

I second what Foolme said, the effect of these parasites is so deleterious, that a part of managing it ongoing is risk anticipation as well. It’s a heavily pronged issue but you are in the best place!
