On the subject of Facebook, in general…

The pressure to get on Facebook has been immense lately.

I recall, way back when – and over the course of my academic career – how the views on Facebook changed rampantly. In the beginning, it was of course deeply frowned upon to be found, at work, being on Facebook or some other social media platform.
It wasn’t long before that changed to every university department, and their brother, having a Facebook page – so then it became an obligation to have one…and then an obligation to maintain it and use it to ‘keep up’ with the other FB pages. What a huge shift over a relatively short span of time.

I fought off Facebook for years…I admit to being on MySpace (awkward though it was) because it provided an international niche market to sell my artwork. Then when that beast died out, everyone started shifting to FB…I tried not to go there but if your clientele and repeat customers are there – and you want to maintain that relationship – you are almost obligated to. I have never set up a personal FB page (only a business one) and after my relationship ended, I abandoned social media altogether, due to fear of my ex stalking me there (and therefore lost an additional source of income.)

But now, all the schools are on there (and sometimes the only source of their Covid-19 updates) and family support programs are on there (the argument being it is the “only” way we can tally who partakes in this program).

Fuck no! I am not getting back on Facebook.

    1. WhoCares says:

Just call it the Facebook Funnel Effect.

    2. Liza says:

Facebook is a tool, depending on how you use it, it can be good or bad. I’m not saying that you should be on facebook, it would be as sensless as telling you that you should acquire a saw or a hamer, i just think that it is unfair to blame facebook or any other medium for people’s bad behaviours, the fact is, if someone intends to do bad things they will always find a way to do them.

      1. WhoCares says:

Nowhere have I put blame on Facebook. If I have used it, or other social meda, to maintain contact with clientele in order to secure an income, then I clearly view it as a useful tool. But Facebook is teeming with Narcissists; so it’s usefulness has to be weighed against that downside.

        1. Witch says:

I have mostly quit Facebook. I no longer have friends on there and I use it just for the reptile care groups
Eventually I’m going to have to quit having a personal account on Instagram too because it’s trash so why am I rolling in it?

          1. Another Cat says:

Yes millions of people wearing out the planet just to get as many plane-window photos and mountain climbing photos as possible. To become as eligible as possible.

          2. Witch says:

            @Another Cat
It’s not even that for me, Its the fact I can’t resist the temptation to talk shit with people and it usually turns into an argument
I’m old now, I’ve got to stop this!
I’ve realised that I am the trash on social media

          3. NarcAngel says:

Whenever I hear of another Instagramer falling off a mountain or a bridge taking a photo I think: Happy now? You achieved the title of “that idiot” for about 48 hours before you were forgotten to videos of singing dogs and making Japanese pancakes Well done idiot.

          4. HG Tudor says:

If the individual was Japanese and fell off the mountain they may well have become a Japanese pancake amongst many others. The terrible descent into culinary insignificance.

          5. Violetta says:

So THAT’S what that Vapors song was about!

          6. lisk says:

            @Another Cat

That is EXACTLY it. It’s all about consumption and collection, one way or another, whether you consuming and collecting to get the photograph/narrative or whether you are consuming and collecting others’ photographs/narratives.

Most disturbing is that thees narratives are not really even your own–they are what you think everyone else will think of you and your consumables and the status they convey.

            UGH.

      2. Another Cat says:

Liza, I agree with the tool idea, to an extent. But depending on new updates and functions, one social media can be designed for say, extraextraextra speed, extra likes, difficult to block, etc

So after a certain extent of installed “speed” a plattform can be more or less a total home for narcy abusers and very little degrees of free dom for the individual. One example is Badoo. And Facebook before latest News Feed adjustments.

I really enjoyed MySpace though. Every individual showing their specific creativity.

        1. Liza says:

          Another Cat,

facebook can indeed be improved but it has undeniable good sides, so i’m more an advocate of “let’s improve it” neither than ” it is worthless, let’s delete it”.

          WhoCares,

I didn’t say that you blamed facebook, i found it regretable that you had to give up on a tool that was usefull to your work.

I 100000% agree that when it comes to the nacissists you are intimately involved with, total no contact is the best and only way to get rid of them, But when it comes to life in general you can’t avoid all narcissists, they are evrywhere and you can’t keep on reducing the space you can have in life just to avoid them.

For the part about blaming facebook for people’s bad behaviours, it was juste a thought of mine because evrytime a bad thing happens the media will find a way to blame it on the internet as if the perpetrators didn’t have any free will.

I can see how my coment could be interpreted as an accusation towards you, so i’m sorry for that.

          1. NarcAngel says:

            Liza
I agree that FB has (more had in my view) the potential for good, but as with anything that reaches and has effect on the number of people that it does, it has been exploited and that potential for good has fallen away and it has mostly become a vehicle for voyeurism and abuse. Another addiction, and quite lucrative for those who saw THAT potential and led the exploitation (and guess who they might be?).

I believe the horse is out of the gate and hope for improvement is next to nil. Not many want to fix something that is giving them want they want – the next hit of self promotion/voyeurism. The tendrils of addiction coil tightly and it has only spawned more potential for addiction and abuse in other similar social platforms (in my opinion). You point out that the blame should not be placed on the internet or on FB for people’s bad behaviour, and I agree. But who uses these tools? A lot of people with bad behaviour. So do you join them and hope for change or avoid them? It is indeed our choice.

It is regrettable that the potential for honest commerce and human connection on that scale has been hijacked by greed and deceit, but I am unsurprised.

          2. Liza says:

            Hello NA,

Change can only come from users so there is no need to just hope, anybody who wants to, can actually improve their experience with social media.

Look, i see social media just like any other social situation, you can choose who you befriend, how intimate you can be with them, what kind of circles you wante to be in, ignore what you see as irrelevent for you and accept that there are people who find it cool, amusing, ext…

          3. NarcAngel says:

            Liza

Just different views have been offered. They do not diminish your right to continue enjoying FB.

          4. Liza says:

I appreciate to hear (read) different views, it helps me bring some nuance to my opinions, and since the topic is subjective, in the end of the day evryyone should do what makes them comfortable.

          5. Another Cat says:

Social media which is free of charge to join, have this problem of screamy people with NPD eventually taking over the ship. I’m guessing Match.com is a wee calmer than Tinder, for example.

No matter how enjoyable free-of-charge seems in the beginning for a user (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) there is always a hidden charge, in these cases for many users it’s our Mental health. This is a consequence of advertisers and the plattform rewarding the number of likes.

To get a huge number of likes there is often a shock one must provide to the readers. The constant jump of their hearts. Keep them on their toes. It wears people out.

With new updates and adjustments this can be fixed to attain a calmer medium.

          6. HG Tudor says:

Where the product is free, you’re the product.

          7. WhoCares says:

            Liza,

“I can see how my coment could be interpreted as an accusation towards you, so i’m sorry for that.”

It’s okay Liza, I don’t feel you accused me of anything, I was just setting the record straight regarding my gripe with Facebook. In my original comment (admittedly I didn’t make this clear) it was more about others using it as a main means of communication, so unless you want to feel like a neanderthal, or that you are inconveniencing the rest of the world by NOT being on Facebook, there is this unspoken pressure to be on there. For example, I shouldn’t have to be on there to keep up with my son’s school, however, I would potentially miss important pieces of information because “Didn’t you see that it was posted on FB?” Um, no…but now I am obligated to check their page periodically, I guess.

“i found it regretable that you had to give up on a tool that was usefull to your work.”

I totally agree with this – and I struggled with this decision for so long that I even considered consulting HG over it. Because I did feel like I was letting fear of my ex keep me from promoting myself online and continuing with that avenue of work.

The usefulness of FB etc., as a tool, is of course, as good or as useful as the user of the tool. And it truely is a double-edged sword. I agree with Another Cat, I quite enjoyed MySpace (specifically for the Indie band scene and exposure to different visual artists, since both my musical and artistic tastes are quite eclectic and I am not fond of a lot of pre-packaged, over-produced mainstream crap). Like Witch, I also enjoy Instagram (it’s the last social media platform that I can’t let go of) but in my case it’s because I am very visually oriented and I have found a collection of really unique artists that simply cannot be found, all together in one place, anywhere else. I have not picked up my own artistic tools in some time but looking at their work inspires me and makes me happy. Also, smiling foxes, and rambunctious baby goat pictures make me happy – without fail. (There is one IG account of a rescued fox, I follow that never fails to make me smile.) I also use it to view HG’s Instagram feed for the purposes of clue hunting in the KHG series. But I have weighed the investment of my time and effort in IG (I never comment there) and feel there is no real detriment to me.

Facebook, if it weren’t so bloody controlling and full of narcs, I would reconsider – because it, and predecessors such as Myspace, allowed me to reach a collection of people who are basically a ready made audience for my artwork. I considered many factors in my personal life (not just FB issues) when deciding to no longer promote myself online, but the social media aspect was significant.

It is the same as reading and posting here on KTN, it can become quite habitual (and for some a total lifeline) but, personally, I feel the investment is worth it because there is always so much to learn, there is much intelligent discussion and there are some people here whose story I know well and I like to keep in touch with them. Plus, the commentary often makes me smile or laugh right out loud.

I just find that I have become much more selective in how I spend my time online and I really, really resent when I feel the pressure to jump on the FB band wagon.

          8. Liza says:

“Where the product is free, you’re the product” absolutely !!!

and once you know this, you manage your expectations and accepte that if you use the said product you implicitly accept to be used.

          9. NarcAngel says:

“Where the product is free, you’re the product”.

            Yes. A good reminder.

      3. lisk says:

Facebook makes it much easier to do those bad things. (I think I read it in an HG article somewhere!).

Plus, it appeals to a certain human baseness. Those that are not too intellectual don’t see that and, well, you have our current US political state.

    3. lisk says:

Good for you. I’m not getting on Facebook, either.

I have no use for it. And even in my field, where we are asked to use it, I notice that I can ignore it and neglect it and nobody cares.

People are more into Instagram, now, so they say.

I avoid that, too. Nothing with photographs, thank you very much.

  2. Another Cat says:

If this was a riddle photo I would say you’re looking at parts of the Milky Way (promise, have not googled). Thank you for returning, Pilot!

    1. Ren says:

      AC

      It’s the Milky Way

      1. Another Cat says:

A vouch from Ren! Thanks, I have not visited la google engine yet.

    1. HG Tudor says:

      Thank you.

  5. Claire says:

Glad to see you back, HG! Such a tough job and noble you have, Sir ! Has that picture of you been taken at the location you just came back from? Such a beautiful night sky and you are staying like a truly Dark Angel who does good for the humanity.
Happy very belated birthday HG and hope you are having soon a well deserved vacation.

    1. HG Tudor says:

      Thank you Claire.

  6. Witch says:

    No offence Hamilton Gabriel
But I actually missed talking to the gang here the most!
    I missed you guys!!!

    1. Renarde says:

      Witch

      Me too.

      1. Witch says:

        @renarde

I started getting withdrawal symptoms and looked over at the Facebook crowd
But I prefer people on the blog than on the Facebook page

        1. Renarde says:

          Witch

I looked over the FB crew. It could’ve been Violetta that coined the phrase, ‘Fantasy Island’. No matter. She ruined ‘Me Jo’ with antics so let’s blame her.

I was on there the other day. Talk about the last refuge of the terminally deluded! One woman tried wery hard indeed to convince me about ‘ouvert’. I gently corrected her. 3 schools, 3 levels, 4 cadres. Oh no, she says. Google it.

At that point and alas, my brain dribbled out of my ears.

That being said, there are geuine people on there.

          1. Violetta says:

I’m not on Facebook, and I don’t think I came up with “Fantasy Island.” How did I ruin you Jo, mate?

          2. Witch says:

            Yeah
I think I got blocked by someone for challenging her when she said HG’s articles are abusive and made her suicidal and was advising people to unlike his page.
And there are others who think because they admire someone it must mean they aren’t a narcissist, such has trump and Obama.

          3. HG Tudor says:

Thank you for challenging that individual Witch, they may well have been a narcissist based on the described behaviour.

          4. Renarde says:

            Witch

Oh well done there on the challenge!

Yeah, the ‘Trump is Great’ and the ‘Megan has BPD’ crew are an special sort of absolute joy. I did so much love reading their, well writing would be a bit too much of a reach, tbh. crayon scribbles?

I’ll let them have Obama because he isn’t as obvious.

          5. Witch says:

Yeah I was thinking they are possibly a narcissist especially that they block people who don’t agree with them.

There probably are misguided empaths who do not like your work because they are not ready to accept that the narcissist does not love/care about them or that they can’t control the narcissist, but I doubt they would go about it in that way.
I have a friend who is not particularly fond of what you have to say but that’s because she wants to believe everyone can change and get better, so naturally she’s still being manipulated by several narcissists

          6. HG Tudor says:

Valid observations Witch. The empaths that do not like my work never make a song and dance about it, they just decide it is not for them and move on. The individuals who spend their time arguing, trying to encourage others not to use it and then blocking etc when somebody advances a valid and contrary view, invariably backed by evidence, are demonstrating their narcissism. I appreciate you setting them straight.

          7. Renarde says:

            Witch

I only ever block people who are personally abusive. I say, please argue the point. That is fun. Hopefully informative for both sides.

A very strange thing happened on here a few weeks ago. The more I think of ot, the more I wondered if it had come from FB.

I believe it’s a woman. Sounds like it. Was on the recent ‘Provocation’ thread.

I’ve not had that kind of comment before, directed at me personally. Essentially, that she knew me in real life. That I had tried to ruin her. That I was a minion of a narc. That I was a narc. She then insulted me (bless) by calling me ‘retard’ then stupid. However, she wasnt finished.

She goes on to (attempt) to call Hg out. That she knew who he was. That there are two Hgs (?) Before telling him to ‘Fuck off’.

It was highly entertaining. Truth Seeker saw it and commented.

The FB group watch us I percieve far more than we watch them.

As to the point that has been raised. Yes, both groups are utterly different. Why that should be so is very intriguing. A genuine poster here would always be welcome.

Hg, I’m getting bored of being called a narc. Can you issue some kind of certificate for people who have done the EDC?

          8. Truthseeker6157 says:

Ren, I do remember the comment on Provocation. It was extremely aggressive to both you and HG.
If a certificate for the EDC were to be issued, the type of people attacking would disregard it anyway. Some people just want to hear the sound of their own voices. They are not there to learn or to listen to the views and ideas of others. They are there to vent ( understandably) self justify their thoughts and behaviours and to preach. A certificate won’t change that.

You are a strong character. All strong characters draw fire.
Stay as you are and don’t let them steal your light x

          9. Renarde says:

            TS

I was hoping you would see this and respond. Thank you x

I’m afraid the certificate was my impish sense of humour. Rearing it’s head. Again.

To your general point, no, as you say, it would not matter.

I think, for me, it’s the first time someone has blatantly accused me of matters which are just lies.

Here we go. I’ve been threatened with, rape, murder and assault. All online. However at least they were doing it because…

            1 They are narcs
            2 I threatened their control

There was a twisted sense of logic there at least.

This person was different. A fruit loop. They will probably try to have another pop. I would argue that the next time they do it, please try to be, urm, somewhat original?

You have made my night TS. Thank you x

        2. JB says:

The Fb page has a completely different feel to it, doesn’t it! Think I prefer it here, feels ‘warmer’ somehow. I did see a comment that someone had made, advising people against the page, but it disappeared after a while.

          1. HG Tudor says:

Yes it does JB, it is often more aggressive which is interesting because people are (not usually) hiding behind anonymity. I think it is because there is a much larger audience there which will not recognise one another (unlike here where a smaller number of commenters exist since only 1% of readers on the blog comment) and also I do not have the time to repeatedly answer queries on other platforms. The other platforms are really funnels to direct people to read and comment here.

          2. JB says:

It’s incredibly aggressive. I can understand their anger; they are using it as a platform to vent their frustration towards narcissists generally, but at the same time you don’t really get the vibe of mutual support, I don’t think. It just feels like people go on there to sound off and then either disappear or come back later to do more of the same. Not really very conducive to learning!

          3. HG Tudor says:

Indeed and I repeatedly see numerous misconceptions and misunderstandings from people about narcissism but I do not have the time to correct them on FB. I query whether some read the work properly and instead prefer just to spout off.

          4. NarcAngel says:

My general impression of Fakebook is that it’s a place to be seen while talking but not really saying anything. Endless selfies even if they seem benign (they look the same in all of them but seem to think there’s a difference and everyone needs to witness that mood). My brother tells me he is tired of the tributes (still) to what a great guy StepNarc was from people who had little to do with him while alive. He said it’s like being victimized all over again to see those posts but restrains himself because two of our siblings are SN’s DNA. I told him to get off there. I was tempted early on to go on and cause an explosion but I have resisted to date.

          5. Witch says:

            @NA
I’m certain my mother tells the few that are left and willing to speak to her that her daughters are rude and ungrateful and It’s possible that they believe her.
It’s better to just ignore the ignorant/manipulated people – don’t seek them out – don’t look at their shit. It’s a waste of time.
I know it’s easier said than done. I was told my mother has an Instagram account, I breached no contact to try and have a look and found that she already blocked me…
So I looked on a different account and there were a lot of selfies with the filters and the bunny rabbit ears and a shit load of self-help quotes
(Maybe I shouldn’t judge because I’m just as vain but there are levels… I don’t use filters on my selfies haha)

          6. JB says:

HG: I think some do read it, at least in part, and some clearly don’t. I guess it’s a trigger for them. It’s not easy reading about what you do/have done, when you have been on the receiving end of it. You have to almost step out of your body and look at it from a purely academic point of view. I think people see how aware you are, and don’t understand why you ‘choose’ to continue to do what you do, so they get angry. But the way I see it, I am aware of how I act (in an empathic manner), it doesn’t always get me where I want to be, but I still can’t be any other way. It’s how I am hardwired, so to speak. To act in any other way would just be pretence. So, I guess the same could be said of your kind – you can potentially sometimes be aware of what you do, and even why you do it, but can’t necessarily change it, as that’s your hardwiring. Maybe I am wrong in that, I don’t know. Just some thoughts.

NarcAngel: Fakebook, love it! 😂 Never a truer word!

          7. HG Tudor says:

I question the intellectual function of somebody on Facebook who posts a comment on material that they have not read.

          8. JB says:

I agree, H.G. Sadly, there are plenty of people out there who do just this! Especially where Fb is concerned!

        3. Witch says:

          @renarde

I’m genuinely surprised no one has accused me of being a narc yet, I feel like I act like a d**k way more than many of the other regular commenters

          1. NarcAngel says:

            Witch
We had a meeting about it while you were over on FB. Sorry – no calling you a narc. Just the occasional side eye signal to one another.

I’m kidding (so sad I have to qualify that).

          2. Witch says:

            @NA

Haha! And someone whispers “here we go, she’s at it again”

          3. Violetta says:

            No…I am Spartacus!

      2. Kristin says:

Good to see you back as well Renarde!

        1. Renarde says:

          Kristin

Thank you! Good to see you too!

    2. blackcoffee30 says:

Where ya been?! So happy to see you are back.

      1. Witch says:

        Hi coffee!
I’ve been around, just been very busy at work and I went on holiday and then not too long after that, Hamilton went away
(I feel like HG is a Hamilton hehe)
        But I’m still here xx

        1. lickemtomorrow says:

I’ve got him marked as a Hunter or Hudson 😉

          Maybe we should take bets?

Good to see you back, too, Witch.

          1. HG Tudor says:

I’ll take your money all day with those preposterous suggestions. I’m British not American.

          2. lickemtomorrow says:

Well, I did think Hunter could be quite apt, but I see HG does not approve!

So, I shan’t suggest any more. (It was fun while it lasted ;))

          3. autiempath says:

I read somewhere, don’t know where anymore, that the HG stands for Hurt God.

          4. HG Tudor says:

            Narc Tales.

          5. lickemtomorrow says:

I may have read in an earlier post it stands for His Greatness 🙂

          6. autiempath says:

LET, that sounds like a good one.
            He is Great!

        2. WokeAF says:

No way he’s a Graham fo shizzle

          1. HG Tudor says:

Name guessing halts now. You will never guess it and I am not wading through posts where people offer suggestions. If you want to play games with names go and have a baby.

          2. Another Cat says:

Hector George is my last offer. Suits the accent!

          3. Witch says:

            I once called HG
Henry George and he was like who’s that?
But maybe that was to throw me off the scent and either name is correct … hhmmm

            Imagine if it’s Hannibal hahaha
            Hannibal Gregory

(I thought hunter was an English name?)

            Maybe it’s Haldwin Garrison

…. is it really THAT English though???

I’m sensing that there is a biblical name in there like Gabriel … or maybe I’m overly romantising this and he really is a Grant

          4. WhoCares says:

“If you want to play games with names go and have a baby.”

Thanks for the laugh this morning HG!

          5. HG Tudor says:

            You are welcome.

  7. lickemtomorrow says:

    Have you been stargazing, HG?

    You have been missed.

And I think we will all sleep better knowing you are safe in your bed tonight.

Thank you for another generous offer.

I intend to take advantage of it immediately.

    1. HG Tudor says:

Thank you and you are welcome.

  8. Beguiled says:

It sends chills down my spine to think about “what you do best” but glad to have you back!

    1. HG Tudor says:

“People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.” Provides you with part of what I do best.

      1. Violetta says:

I was hoping you were having a lovely birth-month vacation with Se Scyld Mægd, but if you managed to combine that with kicking evil Ninja butt, so much the better.

Lord, how I’d like to see you kick evil Ninja butt! But that would destroy your disguise as a mild-mannered cat lady who occasionally Demands To Speak To The Manager.

        1. Renarde says:

          Violetta

          You are so norty!

      2. Whitney says:

        HG is a hero

        1. HG Tudor says:

In more ways than you realise.

          1. MB says:

MB has fingers crossed for the tell all book of the heroic HG!

      3. Eternity says:

        Enquire minds want to know.

  9. FoolMe1Time says:

So happy that you have returned safe and sound, HG. Welcome home!

    1. HG Tudor says:

      Thank you.

  10. Leela says:

Our sensei is back, hurray! Welcome back, sensei H.G.! <3 <3 <3

    1. HG Tudor says:

      Thank you.

  11. blackcoffee30 says:

    Yay! Our saviour is back!

  12. Eternity says:

    Glad your back HG!

    1. HG Tudor says:

      Thank you.

  13. A383 says:

    Welcome back HG x

    1. HG Tudor says:

      Thank you.

  14. Violetta says:

    OMG, he’s back!

    Felix felix, gaude gaude
    Felix felix, gaude gaude

    Felix felix, gaude gaude
    Felix felix, gaude gaude

    Felix felix, gaude gaude
    Felix felix, gaude gaude

    Felix felix, gaude gaude GAUDE!

    1. Fiddleress says:

      Violetta:
Reading what you wrote, and especially with the word GAUDE in capital letters at the end, sounded to me as if you were … screaming GAUDE MIHI in the end.
Which is one of the supposed etymologies of ‘godemiché’ or ‘godemichet’ in French.
I am too pure and innocent to give the translation here for all to see. But then even Google translate gives the right answer to that one.

      1. Violetta says:

Just doing the “Happy Happy Joy Joy” song from Ren & Stimpy in Latin.

        1. Fiddleress says:

I had to look up Ren & Stimpy, didn’t know this series.
Please excuse the cheekiness in my comment.
(Also, my “even Google…” was a jibe at Google translate,)

          1. Violetta says:

The cheekiness was fun. I did a production of Lysistrata, and there were a lot of props of that ilk and jokes referring to them.

  15. Leigh says:

Yay, you’re back! I was afraid you were never going to return!

    1. Alexissmith2016 says:

Me too thought perhaps one of those support forum frauds may try and muscle their way in!

      Welcome back HG

      1. HG Tudor says:

        Pfft, not a chance.

        Thank you.

      2. Leigh says:

Thank goodness that didn’t happen! We would have all been doomed. Nobody is as good as Mr. Tudor.

  16. CandaceMarie says:

Glad to see you are back HG!

    1. HG Tudor says:

      Thank you.

  17. Truthseeker6157 says:

    Does anyone hear that music?
    Sounds like….
    Like…

    Carmina Burana ?!

Ah yes, I see, our valiant leader has returned.

Welcome home HG, you have been missed.

    1. Violetta says:

      Dear lord, yes he has.

Especially with the political situation in the US. Makes no damned sense at all without Fuel. “But doesn’t So-and-so realize that X will follow doing Y?”
“So-and-so is focused on meeting immediate need to assert control. The long-term drawbacks won’t even register in So-and-so’s consciousness.”

      1. Truthseeker6157 says:

        Hey Violetta,

Yes, I’m watching events unfold over there with a heavy heart. My daughter was born in Kentucky, I spent a long time in the US and miss it a lot. The comment I hear most here about the US is, “So and so has completely lost the plot.” So and so is off his rocker.” I do explain the behaviours people see are those of a narcissist. I attempt to explain why, with examples even. Somehow it is easier for people to believe that the world is filled with crazies. Quite honestly I can’t point to a country or news headline that offers much in the way of a workable solution just now. Governments are miles off the mark, intent on their own agendas. It’s going to be a long winter.

    2. Fiddleress says:

TS, have you had time to watch Excalibur yet? Carmina Burana is in that film too!
      I love that music.

      1. Truthseeker6157 says:

        Hey x

I’m sorry, I haven’t. I intended to watch on Sunday but ended up playing taxi driver for the offspring. I had pockets of time, but want to concentrate on it. Aiming for Wednesday evening. I will post when I have, it’s my type of film too!

As for Carmina Burana, just imagine being here! I’d love to go to that concert.

      🤣

      1. HG Tudor says:

        Good call.

        1. Bubbles 🍾 says:

          Cheers 🍻
          🤣

      2. Truthseeker6157 says:

Ha ha, I’ve never seen that before Bubbles. Ads are rubbish lately, that’s a great one. Favourite ad of all time below. Why don’t they do stuff like this any more?

        https://youtu.be/w9ogzVyTtcw

        1. Bubbles 🍾 says:

          Dear Truthseeker6157,
It’s Aussie beer ! We actually make some good ads here
As soon as you mentioned Carmina Burana …. ta da !!!
I really do like the ones you don’t what they’re advertising til the very end, your Guiness is a good example
I tend to agree TS, ads are rubbish lately, (possibly covid cost related) that’s why we watch Netflix….. no ads 😂
          Luv Bubbles xx 😘

  18. autiempath says:

    Thank you HG!
Iam so happy that you are back!
I missed you and the other readers posts.

    1. HG Tudor says:

      You are welcome.
