It might be interesting to understand exactly what the creature is and how it is defined. Perhaps I am incorrect or haven’t fully grasped this concept, but from what I have read up to this point in books and articles from this site, the creature is the ‘true self’, which is a stark contrast to the ‘false self’ that is created to present the narcissist to the world to be something that he/she/they REALLY are not. My idea on the true self is that it embodies all of the negative and dark emotions, feelings and characteristics that the narcissist came to utilize early in life due to a dysfunctional family dynamic which shaped the initial behaviours from a young age. The world can be a cruel and unforgiving place, especially at the hands of the adult who is supposed to be a role model and teach the child proper values but instead neglects or abuses the child and doesn’t act as a proper parent.

This is my viewpoint / understanding – the ‘creature’ is referred as such – is a combination of human characteristics – that is found in every human being. These specific ‘characteristics’ are more predominant within those with narcissism – yet, genetics, environmental affects and society determines what characteristics are ‘stronger’ than others – the ‘percentages’ of the personality traits also depend on the IQ levels of the individuals – hence, the different schools of narcissists. The narcissist’s cadres would be inherited genetics from the parents.

Why not just stop hating yourself?
Except I do not.
Not you, Ultra. I’m talking about what lurks inside and is currently reaching for the likes of Twitler. 😃
Duly noted, I appreciate the clarification.

I may be totally way off the mark here……
