    My grandmother used to buy a Sindy doll for Xmas – every year – until I think I was around 11 or 12 (maybe older) when I told her I was too old to play with dolls any more – she was upset initially but realised I was ‘growing up’….. she understood and accepted my request.

      Watching your children and grandchildren pass from one stage to another is bittersweet very often. She sounds like a sweet grandma to have had.
