HG, a little off subject here but can you address Narcs and those awful Christmas letters they send with their Christmas cards? How about the Christmas letters on steroids that have pictures of their new cars, boats, houses, vacations, drinking parties, numerous “new” friends, etc.? I’d love to hear your take on those. Thanks!!!

Laughing…. at your whole comment…. yes, I have seen those – god, the is reminded me of a set of parents of someone at school. Looking back, and learning about narcissism in the past few months – I now can see why their kids turned out the way they are – as victims but I don’t believe they are narcissists themselves. However, both these kids (of similar age to me) – are adopted and not related to each other (apparently). But for god’s sake, the Xmas letters that this particular set of parents sent out actually did in fact ‘smear’ their kids and I recall being appalled by it (so, it must have been particularly bad)……
Oh wow, didn’t realize that was a narc thing, my mother sends one out every year, we’re all in it in some form or another, and she sends it to over 300 people. I have always hated it but this explains it. Thank you for bringing this up.

I know. She’s been “collecting” people for 81 years. And the stuff in the letters is always made to look as good as possible, I stopped reading them years ago, I don’t know most of the people anyway.
