I spent it alone, my narc let me down, lied and so much more. I’ve listened for like 2 weeks straight to you and it is so clear now. In tears, for the first time I escaped him. My anger is turning into grief, anger. Het stole my time, my trust, everything he could get. Still a bit struggling with the good times. I don’t think I had a golden period, the highs weren’t so high, my lows were low, anxiety was high. 2years ago I divorced a decent man, not a narc, but it just did not work. Eventually he cheated on me.
FFW: And then my happiness to find a man again, love him and all-in for him. Trusting him. To keep me safe, to be honest. To get lies, silence, more lies, deflection, more lies….
I do not grief him, he can throw himself from a cliff for as far as I care.
It’s just the pain that you give your all, only to watch it all get crushed.
I ‘escaped’ 2 weeks ago, in no contact and your voice in my ears to make me understand what he is, what I am.
Big hug for all the other survivors here. Man, this is beyond anything.
Merry Christmas HG, you truly are our most precious gift, those of us who have been involved with a narcissist, I am sure will agree with me, owe you more than just our thanks, we owe you our lives.
Your unrivalled knowledge has helped us to understand and make sense of what we have been through, and for those who have not encountered a narcissist, your education is their key to ensure that they continue to avoid such a situation.
Your strength, courage and outstanding ability to disseminate the knowledge you have about your kind is truly amazing and appreciated.
You have definitely accomplished your desire to create a legacy and continue to do so with your work ethic and dedication to your ‘blog world’.
Thank you for the year of excellent videos that you have created for our education, while I appreciate all of your work, I particularly like the psychopath ones, I find the mind a very fascinating and complex part of the human structure and you have been able to educate me in an area where most do not understand, I no longer fear the actions of a psychopath to be that of hatred and violence (while understanding that for some that can be the case), but that their actions are due to boredom and inquisitiveness.
I do not hate anyone, it is a destructive force to one’s self, and I can forgive the narcissist for their actions, a child’s disruptive behaviour is their coping mechanism, a narcissists behaviour is their coping mechanism from what they suffered as a child, but while I have to live amongst the narcissists in this world, I will never dance with one again, your advice and support has helped me to accomplish this, for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Finally, I hope that you have had a wonderful Christmas, gathering some delicious festive fuel and I hope that the new year brings you love, happiness, peace, health and wealth you certainly deserve it all.
