HG,
I know you are working on a lot of different things all the time so if /when you get a chance would you consider doing an assessment of John Dutton?
I thoroughly enjoyed this series and I was amazed to hear the outcomes for the different characters. Thank you HG for taking the time to watch the show and analyze the characters. I’m looking forward to watching more content about fictional characters in film, television, or literature if you continue to pursue that.
It is annoying how seldom narcissists are portrayed correctly in movies and series. Some lifetime movies are great at that and the first Columbo episodes…. but, for example, Dr. Peter Burns in Melrose Place is portrayed at first perfectly as a narcissist, but later, he and other narcissists are totally incoherent, mixed up with completely different personality traits. And way too often storylines invent then events in their past that made them a poor victim who put up walls. You said it yourself, HG, that’s where many people get the idea from that a narcissist must be rescued.
In this year’s married at first sight Australia, there’s 1 male and 1 female narcissist, they are so picture book narc that it’s unbelievable. More fascinating though are the responses of their respective partners, they cling on inspite of everyone telling them to open their eyes.
Like, they must prove to themselves that they had been right to trust their partner, no matter how bad the situation is.
And the other fascinating thing are comments on social media from viewers. Some totally get it and I am pleased that more people seem to understand narcissism now. I bet you had something to do with that, HG.
But others don’t get it at all and talk about the narcissists’ feelings and so on….. or think they are just acting being in the relationship to be on the show (maybe yes, but the issue is still that they are narcissists.)
Sir, I watched Yellowstone (Seasons 1-4) shortly before I was introduced and discovered your work, now I must catch up on the 5th season with the new insight! Compared to how I saw the characters, it didn’t change but got better; Rip and John Dutton are still the favs; Beth is cool/fun if she is on “your side” ;Jamie – I couldn’t predict him at all and it makes sense now, why, but also Wes Bentley is such a good choice for the „what goes on below“ and Jamie’s outcome will be interesting, I hope. And John Dutton gotta win! Naturally! And through the Rip and Chairman Rainwater analysis it became more clear to me what Normals are. Thank you!!! It’s such a fantastic entry to your work for those who perhaps wouldn’t be interested in the topic of narcissism of its own. How would the analyses be called correctly? It is a psychological analysis of film characters or could it be called psychological dynamic of film characters in relation to narcissism, psychopathy? What would be the correct term for those who are not familiar with your type of analysis?
Jordy,
I wasn’t able to understand how Rip could possibly be a normal. He was mean to his good friend he killed people and threw them off the cliff at the train station, what normal person does that??
I hadn’t paid enough attention to what HG said at the beginning of the videos about character development and story arc. I referred to Rip as a lunatic. I got the rest of the characters correct, but couldn’t determine Jaime’s school or cadre.
I love the series and have watched it twice so it was a real treat for HG to do these.
Soldiers kill people and many of them are normals. Police officers kill people and many of them are normals. You need to watch the video again and also access Understanding Emotional Empathy.
There was no school or cadre for Jamie.
HG,
I will access Understanding Emotional Empathy. You provide such a vast amount of material I know I have much more to learn.
I didn’t mean to type Jaimie, I meant Kayce who was assessed as a standard empath with savior, carrier and magnet traits.
Normals are most confusing to me.
I am fortunate to have retired military and police officer friends. Neither of my military friends were in combat and I perceive one as an empath but the other might be a normal.
My police friends seem normal with their family and friends, but they often talk about their joy at arresting celebrities. And one of them shot someone and said the guys head looked like a marshmallow.
I know people who kill others are capable of empathy, and be normals.
What I don’t entirely understand are normals in general.
I’m sure I will understand them better when I access your Understanding Emotional Empathy work.
Hi HG ,
Thank you for the Yellowstone character analysis. I enjoy all of your work and these didn’t disappoint. It is one of my favorite series and I know you put a great deal of time into them.
Did you enjoy watching the series?
Did you enjoy analyzing the characters?
Thank you for your time and hard work.
HG,
When I asked you those questions I was struggling for word to use other than enjoy as I know joy is not something you experience.
Thank you for answering my questions and using those words in doing so.

I have already assessed him, but I have yet to determine if it is worth my time to record the assessment and create there relevant video.
Thank you for your response HG.

There remains work to be done, Ava 101.
Yes, indeed.

I am pleased you found this work interesting. It would an assessment of the personalities of the major character in Yellowstone.
Thank you, sir!! YES that sounds methodically neat🥰!! I was ready to jump at people with narcissism and psychopathy…right away!
