Exorcism

The narcissist may be physically gone but his or her influence remains and it hurts. Whether you have escaped the narcissist or you have been cruelly discarded, the period thereafter is difficult, worrying and painful.
Why can’t you move on?
Why do you keep thinking about them?
How can we exert such a hold over you for months afterwards?
Why can’t you get him or her out of your mind?
Why do you see them everywhere you look? Why does it feel like he or she is still buried deep in your heart?
.Most importantly of all, what can you do to get rid of this feeling?
This is the answer. Through the narcissist’s perspective you will understand why you have been infected, why it is so effective and how you can successfully exorcise the narcissist from your heart and soul

You are so sweet Truthseeker. I appreciate it!
You’re very welcome GP 🙂 xx
I was thinking about this a lot today. Why are we so drawn to narcissists? Why is it so hard to let go? I’ve heard it said that narcissist mirror us. We are not falling in love with them but rather ourselves through their eyes. As someone with bottom of the barrel self esteem, this makes me wonder if this was a way to finally love myself? I could not do it on my own but with them as a vessel it was possible?
I also think I was able to “borrow” his narcissistic defenses. Kinda like using him as a shield that I wasn’t able to form myself. I almost became a narcissist by proxy. Not that I became void of empathy but that I was made to feel on his level. A level I would never reach on my own.
I would love to get your take HG.
You need to access The Addiction Triple Package found in The Knowledge Vault, it is all explained there.
Yes, I think I need to revisit some of your material for sure.
Hi GP,
Your second paragraph sounds as though you have some CoD behaviours mixed in. You might find Chained a very useful book also.
At least it’s winter. You can curl up indoors with some good books and an audio package!
Chained is one of my favorites! Perhaps a re read is in order.
Mine too GP. Definitely in my top 5.
Re reading is definitely worthwhile. I know that particularly with the books I read early on, I picked out much more when I re read them in the later stages of recovery. ET takes up a huge amount of processing power. It does for me anyway. As it falls I think we are able to take in and relate to far more information than we were in the earlier days.
GP,
This is a book I would definitely recommend for you. I battled with much of what you have described on recent threads. Exorcism was the turning point for me, that and the Addiction Triple Package.
I hope you are having a better day.
