Did you know that Giraffes in the wild are on the decline? They are amazing to see up close and not behind bars.

Nothing like being on a walking safari in Kenya in the Masai Mara and you look up and there they are. Shy creatures. It is exhilarating.

Ah Oh, yes it is very sad and yes I will join you! There is also a baby elephant and giraffe sanctuary that I want to visit. 😢 It breaks my heart what humanity has done to animals and the environment.
I have been to the elephant sanctuary in Kenya. The Daphne Sheldricks Elephant Sanctuary.
I do not feel for humans like I do animals. Perhaps it is because animals do not understand.
We must plan this 9 months to a year ahead as it is not easy to get accommodations due to it always being booked.
Late spring I will be going to Machu Picchu and Galopogoes Islands. I am torn as I want to go back to Africa. I have to confirm 100% by mid-January. I will lose about 3k if I cancel South America. I wish there was about three of me so I can do all that I want now. I am able to just take off and travel but I feel I will miss time with my family and dogs. Weird. Perhaps I should just plan to use the spring and summer to travel this year. I will have to do it alone as no one I know can just go like this.

I have a friend from Sweden coming on the 1st. to visit for 2 weeks. I will be returning there next summer for a month.
Yes the Sheldricks elephant sanctuary! I cried through the entire film.
They are like little kids.. Well big little kids. I can’t wait to go and hug and kiss them all. I would love to adopt one if I had the land and I wasn’t so petite. I think they’d be confused why their mama is the size of a mouse lol.
I’m in Rio for carnival in Feb 2018 but free otherwise.
