LOL, well Love, this is before that tag line was created. It is a different place here than back in the day when it was smaller city and people did not bring thier kids. It had a class to it. You dressed properly to be out and seen.
Now it is a much younger element, and it is a self disrespect I think. Call me old fashion too, but I think I was very furtunate to have experienced this unique city in, what we call, “the day.”
I just attended a funeral of one of the last Old Timers and a one time big boss at Caesars Palace. I worked there for many years. I was introduced as “she is one of us” not really understanding what it meant at the time really. Until I watched Goodfellows.
The movie Casino, all true. The names were changed to protect the innocent, lol.
There is a group of people who have worked at Caesars, and they have stories, but they are dying off. We have always said someone needs to write this stuff down and no one does. They meet every other month for lunch.
