Yours gets broken.
I recognize this manipulation very quickly and find it…boring!
It is like a “You are showing me back what I know already. Show me what I DON’T know. Show me your difference and it would be more interesting to deal with it”.
Similarity is a good base for interaction, but difference gives colors to it.
Narcissists find out what we value most. Our dreams and our wants and needs. Then they custom make that image that mirrors back to us the perfect partner. We gave them all they needed to know to make our soulmate appear before our eyes.
What if someone doesn’t see anything when they look into the mirror?
