  1. When I was in my twenties I worked at a high-end resort. And this guy was checking in with his wife. And the front desk clerk accidentally said welcome back. Because he was a return guest. Just last time he came with his girlfriend and this time his wife.

When she realized her mistake we all had lie for him. We meant welcome, our apologises. We mistook you for someone else. And his wife kept coming back in are you sure he has never been here before. The guy was laughing at her reaction and ours.

That was the one thing I didn’t like about working there. I didn’t like knowing the truth and having to lie.

Women would call in and ask if their husbands were staying with another woman. And I knew the truth and so badly wanted to tell them. I questioned how bad do I want my job. It happened so often that I would just transfer the call to the front desk so I wouldn’t have to lie.

And there was one guy he was a lawyer and he thought he was God’s gift to women. Always cheating on his wife. He would flirt with me. And I was polite and smiled back. But apparently, guys think if you smile and turn red its because you want them. But actually, I turned red because I was uncomfortable.

One day he called and asked if I was the cute blonde. And if I wanted to come to his room. And I said not really. He called me a bitch. And then he came into the back office where I was working with one of his friends. And I turned around and they realized I was very pregnant. He said oh you’re pregnant and turned and walked out.

My pregnancy never stopped my supervisor from asking if I wanted to go out in the parking lot and make out.

That is what the meme reminded me of.

      1. It moved me. I like how it starts with him allowing her to maintain innocence, him being the receptacle for her pain because he just doesn’t feel it. He is able to give her that calming protection. But when he needs her, she fails him. It’s the narc cycle. Yes, it was dark and painful and real.

      1. Twilight, It fits the narcissistic cycle. Starts with golden period and ends with rage. It gave me some powerful feels. It will always be HGs song to me.
