From reading on a psychology site, it sounds like they were describing HGs creature inside as Depression and they said the narc fights it by essentially moving in the other direction- grandiosity, achievement, superiority.

In trying to understand narcissism, I can relate to Depression – I have experienced how frightening it is when there’s absolutely no hope and no light at the end of the tunnel- it’s a vast void. I have no respect for it, and will never allow it near me again. But I’m wondering, HG, is this what the creature is?

Also in trying to comprehend; to me, Narcissists are like bank robbers feeling so clever at planning their elaborate bank heist and thinking the bank employees and customers are so dumb for being their victims, when of course those people were minding their own business and had no idea a robbery was going to happen. And those people would never have any desire to rob a bank themselves. So the robbers laugh at how clever they were and they got away with it, feeling superior.

All of their emotions are dark, they can’t feel the positive ones, naturally they have to conceal that, for different reasons.

I know it goes much deeper and is more insidious than this, but this is my start at grasping it.

Ok, that bank heist thing is not even making sense to me. It seemed so clear this morning.

  2. Ana says:

Hg, do you know pain? When does it hurt you? When you dont get fuel? Can that feeling be called pain at all?

    1. HG Tudor says:

I know physical pain, yes. We suffer wounding as explained in the book Fury.
