HG, thank you for recommending this book. I found it extremely helpful and left a review with Amazon which is currently processing and should post shortly.
I know you need fuel for power, control, and to keep the creature at bay. Is there a similar dynamic with co-dependents/empaths where our emotional thinking drives us to be susceptible/remain in the narcissistic relationship because we need that relationship for our own purposes, such as perhaps having our own version of the creature to keep at bay?
Does our emotional thinking work similar to your need for fuel since emotional thinking overrides all other concerns, cons us into doing many things for the narcissist, and only cares about feeding the addiction to the narcissist despite the logic/reality of the narcissistic relationship?
