Interesting. It is obvious Empaths embrace the past and examine the traumas bring them to the sun to examine, heal and grow. Avoid stagnation. I find all the painful parts of my life have made me grow. Compassion blooms. In fact the more mistakes I have made have brought me closer to humanity and able to understand and help others. The only regrets I have were being unkind unless injustice was served. We all have crosses to bear. The resistance to self reflect is a sign of a defense. My possible narc…. his mother is obvious narc. I said you saw me as a mother. Would I ever do that? I think you see harmful behavior as “ normal.” He replied I know my mother is not normal. Shut down. He wants the attention that comes from being a victim of abuse but refuses to examine it. There is a saying knowledge is power. Another that people don’t change. Neither might be absolute. I have seen both and the opposite of both. Then I believe in God.
I especially enjoyed the part where HG said he was not going to do something and then did precisely that with the other person chasing along like a puppy. Brilliant, HG, and as you’ve said before, “I saw what you did there.”

That little boy looks so sad, hurt, and lost, I’d just like to hold him and let him know how important he is and how loved he is. Then I’d get him the ice cream cone or anything else he wanted!
