So in perhaps an unexpected twist today, I accepted a facebook video call. I was bored.

This is off topic. But I have felt violated just by a stare. Anyone else? I had a case where my opponent was a multimillionaire attorney late 40s with precise care to his looks, office, car, house and no doubt wife. His employees did exactly as told not even an eyebrow raised. And he was a worthy opponent. I always like it when I am grossly underestimated and surprise men similar ( but not) to him. He intimidated my witnesses. Calling them from vacations in other localities, etc… I challenged him by exposure and filed for sanctions against him. He denied ill conduct. By the way he represented an alleged 75 count felon in a civil 100 million bid fixing project. Rumors were Mexican mafia ties but only rumors. People visited my home. Woke up to beer cans and cigarettes when door was locked. Dead Rat in my garage. Worst case of my life but I settled it. The very worst of it was his LOOK. He would stare at me. I felt it behind me and I would turn to eyes that did not blink. At least that’s what I thought. And when we settled, he leaned in and whispered to me that I should not file such motions against people. He did not say HIM. I needed to shower each day I had to see this man. His stare made my soul feel violated. Shivers. An arctic freeze inside him. What was odd is I thought it was obvious. Yet others see him as this successful good looking guy. My client did not even see how evil he was. I am telling you… even a stare can violate. I know it’s not the same as a true theft or violent crime. Just an example of Narc who doesn’t use his hands. Right?
I know that stare well. I used to catch Wanna-Be Playuh-Narc giving it, at least once reflected in a window when it was getting dark out and he didn’t know I could see it. I thought at the time he wanted to bang me, and couldn’t understand why he didn’t just go ahead and try to arrange for such a thing to occur since I liked him, or just avoid me if I as mistaken and he didn’t return my interest, but I know better now.
The stare means, “How dare you have thoughts or feelings that I have not brought about? How dare you like me if I’ve made no effort to win you over, and how dare you resist me if I have tried to win you over? How dare you be you, with any agency of your own, instead of a Gumby doll that I can twist and stretch to my specifications, which will change every five minutes, except when it’s every three minutes, or seven? How dare you stubbornly insist on liking this band or disliking that actor, when I constantly have to change my opinions to reflect the people around me? If there is any aspect of yourself where you are not at peace with who you are, where you have remaining insecurities from earlier times in your life, where you have a weakness–or even a strength that I can attack and make you question its value–I will find it.”
And he did.
