There is a lot of rubbish written about hoovers, from people who do not understand our kind and those who are affected by their emotional thinking which propagates misunderstanding which runs contrary to your best interests.

Why would they hoover for character traits? And how. I dont get it. Are they not getting the traits they need from the new one?
1. Because they are part of the Prime Aims.
2. By interacting with you.
3. Character Traits can be gained from any appliance, usually the IPPS, but not exclusively.
HG, Thank you for including this post at the same time of the Hoover Quiz, my questions were answered with this. I forgot about hoovers for character traits and residual benefits, which is a common amongst exN associates hoovering. I am grateful for this lesson. I also found your observation regarding the ET involved in wanting to believe we are knowledgeable and therefore prepared (yet we knowledge does not equal practice). Thank you for exposing my overconfidence! Well done and lesson learned (but I’ll continue to study!) Most appreciated.
