I suppose in the early days of my learning to understand more about narcissism, I did actually wonder if there was “Narcissists. Everywhere”. Bearing in mind that I joined KTN site during the Covid-19 pandemic and having seen all the panic buying as soon as the first Lockdown in UK was forced upon us all. The behaviours and reactions of the ‘misguided’ population as a whole was totally and utterly bizarre and also frightening. Granted, there were narcissists doing as they perceived was correct when they were in supermarkets. It was lack of information being passed onto the population, or even, reassurance from those in ruler positions (politicians etc) that caused a reaction that could be likened to a herd of bison in a major stampede.

“What about mistakenly labelling someone as a narcissist when they are not?” – a very valid question. Hence the importance in determining an individual’s characteristics, background, upbringing and so on before attaching a ‘label’, if any is actually required, or even correct.

A very good man once said to me “Do not ASSUME, or you will make an ASS out of U and ME”.

Asp Emp, I agree we cannot start stereotyping people either. I do find that a bunch of people in my life are pretty much Normals. I do tend to attract Narcissist in my romantic life though I am trying to change that as I don’t need them around and they cause to many problems/issues. Who needs that right?
My friends want to create a profile for online dating called Bumble. Not sure as HG says they are crawling with Narcissists.
Then definitely will be seeing Narcissists everywhere I guess.

Eternity, RE: your friends & online dating profiles – insist that your friends read HG’s articles ‘The Online Somatic’ and also ‘Why You Should Not Use Online Dating’. And remember HG’s words to you in relation to a similar conversation on KTN blog. It is better to meet people in person, even then HG has done several articles in relation to ‘red flags’ etc. Help your friends with your learning that you have done here 🙂

          Asp Emp,
          Thank you love,
I definitely try explaining it to them, but for some people it is too much. I told them I don’t want to create a profile and I am not interested. I am capable of finding people on my own.
My friend met her boyfriend that way, he seems like a normal guy ,she might have gotten lucky who knows. Plus I don’t think she is an Empath she is a Normal.
I have definitely learned that Narcissists like to go on these sites so that is why I would never go. I am trying to deal with a few of them right now so I don’t need any more icing on the cake. I always appreciate your advice.

          1. Asp Emp says:

Eternity, if your friend is a ‘normal’, they will ‘cotton on’ and move on much quicker than an ensnared empath would. A narcissist as ‘icing on the cake’?! Never. You are welcome 🙂

          2. Eternity says:

So true a normal would say f you I am out of here . A Narcissist thinks they are a fruit if the loom, cream of the crop.

          3. Asp Emp says:

Eternity, a normal may not even say Fk U – just would not bother communicating again as I think a normal would suss out very quickly or may have had experiences in the past…… then again, narcissists are more instinctively attracted to empaths…..
