Sometimes, not always, sometimes, people tend to forget that there are those with other neurological conditions (not including narcissists in this part) that have different ‘perceptions’ on ie understanding how others think. For example, I came across something called a “conversation roundabout” (I laughed at the words) when a neurotypical person is in an argument with someone who has Aspergers / ASD. seemingly similar to the description of a narcissist’s ‘circular’ conversation. The difference between a narcissist and someone with Aspergers / ASD, in this aspect is those with Aspergers / ASD do not always understand ‘social interaction’ whereas a narcissist is manipulative and uses ‘word salads’.

Those with Aspergers / ASD also have something called ‘Selective Attention’ where they can have a greater than normal capacity for attention, yet I suggest that this may depend on the age of the individual ie the younger they are, the less likely they have ‘learnt’ how to ‘grasp’ essential facts from non-essential facts (but not necessarily fiction). This is very true in my case when I was at school and an apparent ‘trait’ of Aspergers / ASD. Hence they need to be given information in short as possible yet factual, without long-winded ‘explanations’.

It may come across as ‘Attention Deficit’ to those who are not aware of the characteristics of Aspergers / ASD.

Add skewed Emotional Thinking and not-yet-established Logical Thinking into the mix, it causes more issues than solutions.

I believe that HG has recognised whether people have Aspergers / ASD or not. Some people may not recognise that they have Aspergers / ASD / ADHD or any other neurological condition and this is where some of the ‘misunderstandings’ occur.

I was reading the comments on this on Facebook. Saying it’s just the same shit being repeated over and over..in my experience, it really isn’t that, word salad is a whole other thing entirely! Having been subjected to many, it’s downright kerfuddling! You know it when you see/hear it! 😂
