This video received a great reception over on YT, and I’m guessing a few people may have already placed their comments there. For the most part it was in admiration of you pointing out the outright disingenuousness of Markle’s claim of being ‘hard done by’. What a load of crap! Seriously, those who think they’re hard done by these days need to get a life, based on reality, not imaginary oppression or affronts. I laughed when I read her letter stating “I’m not an elected official, and I’m not a politician …” Why does she need to start a letter saying that? It reminds me of her beginning remarks in the Oprah interview where she laid the groundwork stating “We, as Americans …”. That was her target audience. Her opening statement in the letter is also targeted, to put the thought of a life in politics in mind of the reader. Some people will be saying “she should be a politician”, “she speaks for the people”, “she cares about us”, “she’s just one of us”, etc.
That’s just an initial thought on the initial wording, and you are so right to point out, HG, how she has nothing to complain about. But, ever the victim, she will find something even if she has to make it up, and it’s really not about paid parental leave … it’s about Markle entering a life in politics. Once again, not about anyone else but about her.
Kudos. You’ve done a great job of highlighting her hypocrisy again.

If I may use, to me, in my view, a couple of comments on YouTube made complete ‘summarisation’

Some people complain about so much when in fact in real terms it’s all ‘hot air’, ie not really suffered as much in reality.
Others have genuine reasons to have cause to off-load their concerns/ experiences, ie have experienced so much in life.
